Great and satisfying

They did a great a job. The mower runs well.

All aspects of the work performed were excellent. They were punctual in doing the work, they got back to me with a quote very close to their first estimate, they finished the job quickly and the service people were polite and answered all my questions. So in every aspect of the basic job they were excellent.
My only issues were peripheral: 1. Their policy is to take your driver license number and use it for your account number. I don't like to give my personal information out to anyone unless absolutely necessary. My name, phone, address should have been enough; it's always been enough everywhere else I've gone. Besides, they've got all my equipment if I don't pay. 2. The older man working the front desk can be short-tempered. 3. I asked if they could provide me with some instructions on how to use one piece of equipment because it's complex and the service man said he would have that information available but there was nothing when I came to get the equipment.

Their prices are competitive, and they are friendly. Their equipment is well-used, but also well maintained. Once a tile cutter failed to work, but they replaced it right away without any problem.

We were given a very old Troy-bilt rototiller which needed a lot of work. We found that Village Rental did equipment repairs (located in Centerville, about 9 miles from Lebanon) and took it up there. They were friendly and professional, and even though our rototiller is quite old, they were enthusiastic about working on it. They called with an estimate and got it finished very quickly (within a week and a half in the middle of lawn mower repair season) -- we picked it up and it works beautifully. The repairman even tested it behind the shop in a small garden area to make sure it worked well. The price seemed very good -- nearly two hours of bench time, a new belt, carb adjustment and oil change, and some other adjustments and lube. The fellow that did the repair was friendly and patient, answering a lot of questions (we're new to rototilling). We noticed they have a lot of equipment to rent (party supplies as well) -- we plan on renting a wood chipper later this year. We had rented a drywall "lifter" several years ago at the Lebanon location and that was a good experience as well. They may open that location back up in the future.
