We started taking our Elizabeth, our 15.5 year-old pug, to Dr. Julie last summer.  At the time, Elizabeth was having troubles getting up, walking around, and was suffering a major limp with her front leg.  I was very skeptical of how effective the treatment would be and had decided if the treatment would not show improvement after 3 treatments we would seek other methods.  Elizabeth's initial exam went for 90 minutes and was very thorough.  She received acupuncture and cold laser therapy and Dr. Julie gave us several exercises to do with Elizabeth when home.  She showed slight improvements initially, but got much better after the 2nd or 3rd treatment.  Dr Julie prescribed Chinese herbs (Subtle Spine) and T-Relief for Elizabeth and she started to show great improvement. 3 weeks ago, Elizabeth's hips and legs froze up, she couldn't move, and started screaming for around 10 minutes straight.  We called Dr. Julie while this was happening (after office hours), she called back and told us to come in at 9am the next morning, which was before when they usually started seeing patients.  Dr Julie is very caring, listens to our concerns, and Elizabeth absolutely loves her!  I'm not saying that Elizabeth is acting like a pup again, but everyone who meets her is amazed at how great she looks, moves, and her spunky attitude.

Dr. Julies Serviates has treated four of my dogs over the past 3-4 years. She is kind and empathetic.  She sits down to talk to you and really listens.  All of my dogs love her.  The acupuncture provided a great deal of relief for my aging dogs.  One of my dogs competed in agility, and she actually came to watch him to see him run, and assess his movement. She did that at no charge. She treats a lot of dogs in my dog club. The office staff is fabulous.  Email reminders of appointments are sent.  I can't say enough about how pleased I was with service and how awesome Dr. Julie is.

The doctor's name is Dr. Susan Rogers. My dog broke her neck about six years ago and my vet saved her. I've been with Dr. Rogers since then and I see her twice a year. They are very caring and very thorough. She does reiki.

They provided some relief to our cat in his last days about 5 years ago since he had lot of problems with arthritis. I have an appointment for Monday to take another cat to them. They charged us about $75 a visit. We had a cat that was getting old and was about 15 or 16 years old. He had trouble with his back, legs and hips. He was limping and wasn’t able to jump up on the couch very well. We heard about this through our vet. So we thought of trying the acupuncture treatment. The acupuncturist explained what went on and showed us how the treatment worked. So we tried a couple of visits. A lot of people don’t believe in such a treatment, but my cat stopped limping. He was able to jump up on the couch and he felt comfortable. We noticed definite improvements in his abilities. It’s hard to measure pain in animals, but he seemed to be in less pain. He had better movements and was more comfortable in what he was doing. We have another cat that’s exhibiting the same kind of symptoms. It has some trouble moving and can’t clean himself very well on his hips. So we wanted to give a try with our current cat to see if it helps him this time too based on our earlier experience that we had with the doctor from Veterinary Alternatives. We were very impressed with that doctor. There are some people who still have hesitancy about acupuncture even though the Chinese have been doing it for thousands of years. Our experience has been very helpful. It helped my cat in easing his struggle with severe arthritis. It allowed him to spend his final days with less pain. We were very impressed with the doctor’s professionalism, the way she went about it and her empathy with our cat. That’s why we decided to try her again.
