Long story short. It was a very basic rectangle deck with steps. I came home to find they completely screwed up the step spacing. One step was 13". I called and after some further discussion, he admitted they screwed up and fixed things. The finished product looks great and I'm very happy with it. Just bothered by the fact that they skipped some very basic framing calculations, continued on and then hoped I'd be ok with it. I will give him credit they eventually made it right, which quite a few contractors won't do, unfortunately.

Tom does fantastic work!  He's willing to work with his customers to meet their needs/desires. 

We seem to give him new challenges on each project and he always meets the challenge. With the Bath/Kitchen projects, we knew what materials we wanted, so we directly bought ithem from various sources and had them delivered to the house in time for Tom to perform the work.  Other contractors gave us quotes that included materials (and the overhead they add onto it) so Tom was a lower-cost solution without a drop in quality (if you're willing to do the homework to get materials yourself).  The Master Bath had some items he had never worked with before:  a certain no-frame sliding shower door, a heated towel rack with timer switch (Tom discovered the disconnected wire within the towel rack that he fixed so it would work) and a shower panel with a rain head/hand-held/body jets - the panel had unusual water connections that he solved.  In the Kitchen we wanted to have hard-wired power strips installed under the cabinets - we now have over 24 outlets in our kitchen - an outlet wherever you might need one. Also in the kitchen we wanted a regular doorway opened up into an arched opening just like the arched openings between other rooms in the house (to match the home's character) - it matches exactly. 

For the Deck project, we needed Tom to remove a large window and convert the opening into a sliding door leading to the deck; also move an outside water faucet, move an HVAC return vent and install an outside electrical outlet and exterior lighting. 

We would not hesitate to recommend Tom and often have.  Our neighbors asked for his contact information for their projects.  I just hope he's not too busy when we need to schedule a future project.  He commits to a project until it's complete before moving on to the next project, so you need to contact him at least a month or two ahead of time.

The results are outstanding. He took a closed confined space and opened it up to a beautiful room. His artistry and his craftsmanship are evident in everything. This was not the first job he had done for us nor will it be the last. We highly reccommend him for any remodeling work!

Tom Trimbach and his helper were professional, personable and answered all of our questions throughout the process. We checked five references from other people he'd installed vinyl decks for in the past year and all reviews about his work were glowing. Our deck was completed to specifications and in one week from start to finish. You can tell Tom cares about the quality of his work and customer satisfaction. Since his company does general contracting, we plan to use him for other jobs in the near future.

Tom Trimbach and his helper were very easy to workwith. He was punctual and did an outstanding job of presenting me options and a detailed estimate and plan for redoing my deck. His price was slightly less that the other estimates received and I was completely satisfied with the quality of work. He took the time to run deckboards around the outer edges to that no board ends would show and used an invisible fastening system to give it a very clean look. The work areas was kept clean and he hauled away the debris from tearing the old deck down. I would highly recommend Trimbach Construction for any of your home projects.
