We think their pricing was very reasonable. He is a small business and he has always been very available for us. His labor is very reasonably priced. I think his labor is a little cheaper than some. He is very honest.

I had Ted rebuild a cylinder in 2012. This was a $3000 job. However the engine makes a clicking noise and I have noticed some oil spots on the driveway. But the car is still running.
About a month after this fix, the car would not start. Ted replaced the battery and alternator. A few weeks later the car would not start again. This time Ted determined the electrical system was wet from a leak. There are drains in the roof that were clogged and water got into the frame and soaked the electrical system. Ted said the frame was rusted and the roof could collapse. He offered me 2500 for the car. Since there was no visible signs of rust, I decided to keep the car and it has been running ever since.
My total investment at Teds was $3500.
I was left with the impression Ted was trying to scare me (because I am female?) into selling the car dirt cheap. This may or may not be accurate.
