Stone Center did a good job of measuring and installing granite in my kitchen.  They had some affordable granite color options that were different from many of the other stores I visited.  They were also able to provide a fairly quick turn around on the counters.  They were not the least expensive and they were also not the most expensive.  In the end I liked doing business with a local company (instead of a box store) that could give me more variety in colors. 

First they came out to create a template and make sure they had all the measurements. Then took that information back to their facility to create the pieces needed. Two weeks later they came out and removed the old counter top and installed the new counter top on to existing cabinets. Looks great and there was very little inconvenience.

First of all, the company name and address I have is: Stone Center of Dayton, 2823 Northlawn Ave., Dayton, OH 45459 (937-298-9572).I went to Center (just dropped in). Was greeted cordially, given a tour of facility and the options available for kitchen counters. Picked out two different granites. Was given two sample to take home. To get an estimate of what the cost would be, I needed measurements of kitchen.
When back with measurements and choice of granite. Made arrangements for them to secure the sink I picked from their selection (book). Also negotiated that they would supply plumber for instalation. Set a date for them to come frame the kitchen and a date for instalation.
Change in events in my life caused me to have to reschedule. We agreed on a new schedule. Was even sooner than original dates.
Day of instalation, they called when leaving Center and got here about 40 minutes later than anticipated (not a problem). Ran into proble trying to shut off water in house. Had to hunt for main valve outside house. With some help from Water Co. and neighbors, we found it. They installed and just before a plumber was needed, I got the idea that none was scheduled so I called Stone Center and they got one out here who finished the job. One hitch was that they only brought the counter tops and not the back splash. Called office again and was told the framer wanted to size the backsplash after counter was in (I had not been told that). Not a problem really, just a disappointment.
The framer came the following day. Couldn't do backsplach until 10 days later.
Back splash scheduled between 11 and 1. I called a one to see where they were. They were about 40 minutes away, but on their way. Arrived; did the job and left.
Workers were most professional. Office was very responsive to all issues. Kitchen looks great. I would use them again because, even late, they do a great job and attend to problems immediately.

We picked out the granite slabs and they sent a gentleman to completely measure. It is a complex kitchen arrangement and they made a pattern for it. They gave us suggestions on where we should make the breaks in the seams. They cut the stone and brought it out. They did a wonderful job of matching like a river throughout the kitchen granite. It made like a river pattern and they connected it through all the pieces beautifully. They were very professional. It is absolutely gorgeous and we liked it so much we had them come back and do the two bathrooms. They were wonderful and it was fabulous. They were helpful in picking out the design and pattern that we wanted and choosing the granite. They were very professional when they were here in our home. There were three men here. The gentleman who laid out the pattern came back to make sure everything was right as they were installing it. We were very pleased. We had several people come out for estimates and they were not the cheapest but they were the most professional. They were very responsive and we would absolutely use them again.
