I never write bad reviews, but Soul-utions has easily been the worst plumbing company I have ever dealt with in my 20+ years as a homeowner. They will not return calls, will not answer emails, and will not show up to jobs as agreed upon. They failed to fix a water pressure issue into my house which caused my water softener and water heater to break. Truly a terrible company and one I would STRONGLY recommend you avoid at all costs. My home-warranty company arranged this company to help me, and I spent hours trying to resolve the issue.

Our home warranty company referred us to Soul-utions for a kitchen sink drain stoppage. Cole was at my house in less than 24 hours, and within the timeframe I was given. He was very professional and resolved the stoppage within an hour. I am very impressed and definitely recommend this company.

Avoid at all costs. We had a terrible experience having Soul-utions prepare for a hot water heater replacement which included the owner calling my wife a liar and not telling the truth to our Home Warranty company. Then failing to show at our house for a meeting that the owner himself set. I wasted half a day off work to meet and had to cancel the job with my Home Warranty. Check the other reviews and lack of website, serious red flags people, find another plumber in the Dayton area!

"It" went well, although I didn't feel I could give all "A's", since not being able to get them back to resnake my drain. I've had to move on...find another company. $75 to the vendor was the agreement with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, which is paid by the homeowner/lessee, for the service call. Not remembering the Date of Service. Definitely an approximation!

After reading the bad reviews, I was not looking forward to using this plumbing service. This was through my home warranty company so I had no choice. I was prepared for the worst. After a little confusion on arrival time, a young man by the name of Chris showed up, got what was needed to fix the problem and took care of it within a very short time. Very nice young man.

The appointment was scheduled between 8:00-10:00am. They didn?t show up by 10:45. I called to find out what was going on. When they answered the phone asking for status, was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. Said he would TRY to send someone out. They finally showed up and hour later. The guy looked at the pool heater for about five minutes and said that the gas valve was putting out too much gas and needed a new one. Said he was going to order the part and would get back with us on Monday. Wednesday rolls around and no call. I called to find out the status of the part. Was told he was having trouble locating the part number. I told him that I have the manual and could give him the part number. Made to feel stupid because I suggested that and was told the part he was looking for was not in the manual. Was told he would call back on Thursday, again no response. I called on Friday asking for status. Was told that the gas valve was not a Hayward pool part, that is why he was having trouble locating the part, would get back with us on Tuesday. Tuesday, no called back. I called
on Wednesday, for status. Was told he couldn?t locate the part and was going to call 2-10 asking for guidance and would call me back on Thursday. No surprise, we didn?t get a call back. I called 2-10 to complain, was told that the warranty for the pool heater was now void because he told them that pool heater has not been working for over 6 months. We told 2-10 our side of the story, but the will not change the warranty for the heater to being voided. So now we are out of a working pool heater, $100.00 for the service call, and $160.00 for the pool warranty. The only reason this company in still in business if because of home warranty companies. This guy is never welcome in my home again.

When the owner arrived, he immediately started talking about religion and asked me my religion. Extremely unprofessional...and a little creepy/weird! He said he had to run to the store to get a part; after two hours passed without his return, I called him to see if he was coming back. His response, "The store didn't have the part, I had to order it." I told him I wished he had called and told me that and I wouldn't have been sitting at home waiting on him. He apologized and said the part was being overnighted and he'd have it the next day. Two days went by and nothing from him. My husband called him and is response was, "The store couldn't get the part in, I'll have to look around for it." Again, a call sure would've been nice. We waited another couple days and called him back..."I think I've located one. I'll be out tomorrow." Nothing for two days. Called the Home Warranty Co. and complained; the guy came out the next day.
He tried and tried to convince us of other "necessary" things that needed to be replaced but were not covered by the Home Warranty. After all was said and done, we found out that he never pulled permits for the work he did. The cost of the permit ($70) was not covered by the Home Warranty, so we had to pay for it, and he obviously just pocketed it.
This guy only stays in business because of his affiliation with the Home Warranty Companies; however, if you're hiring a plumber...DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

I was told he had to replace a rubber piece in the toilet seat tank, took the piece with him and closed the valve to the tank (unable to use toilet). Promised to return in 3-4 days "when the new part arrived". It has been 2 months since then, he scheduled me to be at my house between 1 and 6 about four times, in all of them he failed to show up, he did not even call later to re-schedule or apologize. I am still unable to use the toilet seat. I will never deal with this contractor and hope nobody else falls pray of his improper work ethics.

Water Heater Service
We have an home warranty that came with the house we bought 2 months ago, and this was our first claim - water heaters and installation are supposedly covered. Home warranty company contracted Soul Utions Plumbing, who called me the next day. Problem was, he wasn't able to meet us at the house in the next two days after 3:00 pm (when I get off work), "unless you want to pay me overtime," and was going on vacation for 2 weeks after that. Home warranty company wouldn't budge, wouldn't pay the overtime and wouldn't assign me a different plumber. Once I told him I wouldn't pay the overtime, James "found some things he could move around" and came the next day. After looking at the heater for 20 minutes, he said that yes it needed replacing, but there were going to be a bunch of extra charges involved in "bringing it up to code." One of these was a disposal fee of $100, which I said we'd choose not to pay, and one was $125 to replace a 5 foot gas pipe "maybe, because we never know how high the regulators are going to be on the new ones." All together it was $475, $375 without disposal (not including the heater itself, which home warranty company paid for), none of which home warranty company would cover. He came the next day, and while my wife was there, talked her into replacing the pipe even though the height was almost exactly right (maybe 2 mm off, I could have easily made the adjustment.) As if this weren't enough, when he was done, he had put the disposal fee right back on the bill and had his guy trying to cart it out while I was paying. I pointed this out, and he said he could only take $50 off, because he'd brought a second man. Only after some argument did he grudgingly agree to take the whole $100 off the bill, at which point his second guy, who had been out of earshot and obviously knew they were trying to pull something, said "am I taking this out or not?" Maybe it was because it was a warranty job, but these guys are obviously to get every penny they can out of the homeowner, and are neither responsible nor honest contractors.
