We were very pleased with the work. He accomplished everything we wanted and did it in a timely manner. I would recommend Dean to anyone. His price was very reasonable for the work he did.

The service was excellent. The workers were good. They were very prompt. The work was completed just in the time they told us. I would tell a friend about them. Overall, it was excellent. Quality was excellent.

I contacted half a dozen contractors I found on Angie's list looking for quotes, but in the end I could only get 2 contractors to come out and bid the job.  Dean Shepherd was far and away the most competitive, most responsive.  He was up front about working multiple jobs and how that would affect the completion schedule.  He didn't over promise, he showed up on time on the days he was scheduled to work, texted if he was running late, and kept to his schedule (there were weather delays, but you can't blame a contractor for that).  Did a good job keeping the mess in the yard organized.  Called him back out twice for touch-up paint and caulking, fixed everything within a few days of the call.  Very happy.

Shepherd Construction

We hired Dean of Shepherd Construction,the end of December for a three-week project starting January 1st, 2015. The project started  and was completed on the agreed schedule. Shepherd Construction responsibilities  ranged fromDemolition, walls and electrical, to reconstruction walls, electrical and finish work.  Dean and his crew completed the daily scope of work as agreed upon, and at the end of each day his cleanup was better than I have seen before. I highly recommend Shepherd Construction for any interior, exterior work. In spring, we plan on starting on Phase two exterior renovation and Shepherd Construction will be our first choice.

Everything went very well.  Some weather delays, but those couldn't be helped.  Always here unless we knew ahead of time and he worked all day.  We felt very comfortable with him from day 1, professional and easygoing.  He absolutely knew what he was doing.  We did have a couple of pitfalls (surprises).  Termites was the big one.  Living in construction really wasn't all that bad.

Any questions or concerns we had were answered clearly and completely.

It went very well.  Our new deck is beautiful.  Dean Shepherd impressed us as an honest person when he came to give us an estimate for the old deck removal/new deck construction.  He promptly responded with a detailed estimate, including a drawing of the proposed deck.  He answered our questions and gave us great ideas for some added features.  Unfortunately, bad weather delayed the start date, but he checked in with us weekly to give us updates on his schedule and when he did start the work he was punctual and the job progressed quickly.  He is a pleasure to work with and we recommend him highly for any home upgrades needed.

After having a terrible experience with a kitchen contractor, I needed to locate another contractor that could begin quickly.  Dean Shepherd was already booked on a remodeling job that he was working during the day, but agreed to take on my kitchen remodeling by working evenings and weekends to help me meet a quickly upcoming deadline.  Mr. Shepherd was here every night, promptly, and finished my project in a timely fashion.
I was most impressed with Mr. Shepherd as a person.  He was always amicable, professional and willing to do whatever was asked of him and always in a cheerful manner.  That being said, his work is impeccable.  I would be hard-pressed to find fault with anything that he did for me.  He faced many challenges in redoing my kitchen and every challenge was handled perfectly and expertly.
I doubt that there is a remodeling job that he couldn't do, and do well.  I highly recommend Shepherd's Construction Services to everyone needing/wanting high quality results in their remodeling jobs.

Shepard's responded quickly to my calls, provided a fair estimate while working with my requirements. They professionally explained what to expect from the activities associated with my project and the approximate length of time to complete it. Dean respectfully attended to the changes I requested, as well he awaited approval for changes he needed to make. Dean and company were also as careful as possible when bringing in or utilizing heavy equipment so as to minimize the impact on our landscape... All work was done in a timely, professional manner, and within my expectations. I have been happy with the work they did and continue to receive compliments about it. I would recommend Dean and Team to anyone looking for a great value !!! ... As well, I expect to use them on my next big project !!!

- Constructed new front porch
- Replaced garage floor, driveway section, sidewalk, and installed drain
- Demolished old deck
- Constructed cement block shed/shop attached to house 
- Installed drain pipe around house and through back yard to reroute roof drainage

I found Dean Shepherd on Angie's List after already getting a few estimates for the repairs.  Dean immediately went to my property, assessed the situation and advised that he could repair the cement porches and reseat the railings without having to do a full tear out of the porch.  Dean's price was FAR lower than all the other estimates I had received.  Dean used a special epoxy to repair the porch damage and stabilize the railings.  Dean also repaired the gutters.  Dean was extremely responsive, innovative and took special care in all his repairs.  In fact, I immediately hired him again to repair, repoint and repaint the rear of the building (separate review to follow).  I would recommend Dean Shepherd for any minor or major construction job,as he is very competent and reliable and is very thoughtful in considering the best, most effective and least expensive method of repair.  I will be using him for all the outside repairs of my building.
