SERVPRO

ServPro showed up promptly a few hours after my call to assess the situation.  They recommended taht the carpet and pad be pulled and replaced as well as replacement of a portion of the drywall in the basement.  They steered me towards having ServPro handle the cleanup as well as manage the restoration through contractors of their recommendation.  I agreed to this as I was about to spend the next month away due to vacation as well as work trips.  Over the course of the next week they used dryers to dry out the affected areas, pulled the carpet and pulled the drywall in the basement.  They replaced the drywall and painted in the basement and did a very good job.  The carpet replacement however was another story.  4 weeks went by and no new carpet.  Finally I was able to call and informed Servpro that I still had yet to have anyone show up to replace the carpet.  They were unaware that the work had not been done, which does not live up to the company tag line of "like it never happened".  What never happened, was proper project management of my case.  They said they would fire their subcontractor and have someone else come out.  I was told during the initial visit that they would take a sample of my carpet to be matched and replace with the same, or very similar carpeting.  When the carpet subcontractor called, they were unaware of this and said the best they could do is come and look at my other carpets and see what they could do.  They called back a few days later and said they could not find a perfect match but would find something good enough.  At this point I decided enough was enough and called my own contractor.  Within 3 days they replaced my carpet.
During this time I received a bill from Servpro for the cleanup, rental of dryers, replacement and painting of drywall as well as for replacement carpeting.  I was charged for carpeting that was NOT installed by the ServPro Sub Contractors.  I called their offices to explain the situation.  They then sent a new bill minus the carpet replacement charges.  There were no apologies given for the lack of followup on ServPro's part with their original carpet subcontractor, just a call asking if I was going to pay my bill the day after the new bill showed up.
Servpro did a very good job with cleanup, as well as the replacement and painting of the basement dry wall.  Overall, I would NOT recommend this particular ServPro franchise for any restoration, just for clean up.  Their lack of follow through on managing that part of the project is not the type of work I would recommend to others.

They came out and cleaned up my basement. They were good.

I was just not happy with them at all. They did not follow through on what they said they would do.

THEY PRETTY MUCH TOTALLY RE-DID EVERYTHING IN MY BASEMENT. THE SEWAGE HAD RUINED THE WOODWORK, THE FLOORING, THE INSULATION, AND ALL OF THE APPLIANCES. THEY TOOK CARE OF IT ALL, AND THEY DID GREAT.
