the worst people to deal with period they threatened me and my family with harm DO NOT USE these people not only are they harmful they destroy your grass cause there equipment leaks oil and hydralic fluid on your grass killing it and they tell you to deal with it

We're not happy---We chose Perkins based upon previous Angie's List reviews. Regrettably, their performance did not match the previous reviews. We're not happy with the service we received. They missed on cost, schedule and performance.
Shawn came out to the house after work on April 14th and walked around our property with me to get specifics on what we needed to be done. I was happy with this. He stated he had a four person crew and told me their hourly labor rate. Within a day, Shawn provided an estimate of $605 ($540 labor and $75 haul-away). He said he would get the work done within a week to 10 days.
After several delays, he and his crew (three total, not four) showed up on Friday, 1 May at about 4:30pm. They worked for about 3 hours and started packing up their equipment. The total actual man-hours of work done was half of that bid. So his estimate was off by 100%. Basically, we paid twice what we should have for the labor that was performed.
At about 7:30, Shawn said they were done and the guys were cleaning up, so he handed me the bill. As I was handing him the check, I noticed that they did not cut the pine stump as requested. He apologized and spent about 10 minutes with a chainsaw cutting the stump. By the time they loaded that onto the trailer is was nearly dusk, so I only had time to look at the work done on the bushes around the house. As they were leaving, Shawn said to call if there was anything we weren't happy with.
The next morning, I went to the back of the property and noticed that one large honeysuckle was not cut down and a pile of debris was left behind. I also noticed that some work in the flower beds was missed (trimming back some Asian Jasmine). We contact Shawn via text and he said he would get "right out to take care of it". That was on May 2nd. Despite repeated promises to get out here to take care of the job (including this past weekend), he still has not done so. I will take care of it myself now because I am tired of waiting.
All in all, I believe we paid too much to get too little and it was done too late.

Perkins did snow removal last winter and did a good job. My lawn mower left the business and I hired Perkins to mow my lawn and do spring clean up. When they did not show up for the spring clean up and did not call me I called them and Shawn said they were not coming because it was sprinkling rain where they were. I said it was dry here but he said they would come another day. They finally came Several week later when It was almost too late to cut back the ornamental grasses with out damaging them and did an OK job
I work from home and cannot have any noise like a lawn mower after 4:00 PM. i told Shawn that must always be done by 4:99 PM.  They showed up the next time  while I was on a call, scalped a strip of the front lawn and did not trim well.
On their last visit they left a large area untrimmed for the second time.and the back desk had not been blown off.  I was not happy and let them know. Rather than letting know he did not want to mow for me any longer , he just never came back. When he finally returned my call he quit because I had a complaint.and hung up on him. I said a rather brusk good by but did not hang up unless my cell phone cut out

Perkins will do a good job as long as you have no special requirements and your job is just mowing. Don't expect things like the decks being  blown off. Shawn said they only blow off areas where they leave grass from the mowing.

Perkins mowed my lawn for part of last season. Shawn quoted me an excellent price and I was quite pleased with their work. The price was too good apparently and he asked to raise the price this season and I agreed to do so. Unfortunately, the company started showing up only occasionally this season every 2-3 weeks and only after we contacted Shawn to request our grass be cut. Finally, they just stopped coming without notifying me that they were stopping service My wife attempted left text and voice messages with the company and he never returned our calls. Needless to say, this is a very unprofessional  way to run a business and I would recommend strongly against using them.

They showed up as was requested. Only issue, after two months I have not received a bill.

My upstart single man lawn guy up and quit on me and left me hanging,  I called Shawn for help.  Much more professional and knowledgeable than my other guy. Perkins Lawn Service has a three person crew and all the equipment needed. He came out quickly and gave me and estimate and explained his services he could provide (just what I needed) and he started the day I told him he was hired for continuing work.  He has mowed, picked up leaves, and general outside work.  this spring he cleaned out my front and side forest area to make it more presentable (cut brush and small trees) and it looks very good. He has done a good, prefessional job.  His cost was no more than the amateur I had before,  He recommended a separate lawn service since they are grass experts and they are doing fine as well.  So far, so good, and I expect continued professional service in the future.  Would hire again.

On time, fair price and quality work.

This company does an exeptional job, they are always on top in keeping our property looking fantastic. I never have to contact them about coming out unless I am requesting additional services.

He has been charging us $40 and that is for 2/3rd of an acre.  I would give him an ‘A’ for everything, including price.
