Mr. Nolen was polite, efficient and professional. I have used him before and was very pleased with his work. I searched for his number when I needed the lock service again. It was a very good experience again. I will continue to use him.

He said he didn't get the email from Angie's List so it took a few attempts to get ahold of him. He did do the job well though and had to use him a second time and that also went well. He is a little gruff and his demeanor can be a bit off-putting. For example he was rude on the phone a few times like I was inconveniencing his night. He was supposed to call me on his way back to Cinncinati so I went to dinner. He calls in the middle of dinner to say he will be there in 20 minutes instead of the 45 mins it takes to get back from Cinnci. I asked for 10 minutes to finish dinner and he says "well I guess I have no choice." Rude.Overall he did a good job though. He emailed me a month after the service was performed to set up the appointment I already had with him so I am not sure if it is a problem with Angie's list or his knowledge of how this works.

Very professional - installation went smoothly. Even advised us regarding getting other locks re-keyed to match front door.

Really excellent experience.  James showed up on time for the appointment.  He was extremely courteous and efficient.  I'd definitely use his services again.

The lock in my front doorknob had gotten stiff and "sticky" and the key got stuck in it. I took the doorknob apart, but couldn't get the key out. I went to the hardware store and got a replacement doorknob/deadbolt replacement set, but then decided that I didn't need to make any more stupid mistakes. So I called Nolen Locksmithing (found the referral on Angie's List). I left a message and he got back to me right away. Said he'd be here between 2:00 and 3:00 and he was, so I'd say it was maybe 2 hours from the time I first called.
He re-pinned the lock instead of using the replacement I bought, so I get to take that and get my money back. He also fixed the deadbolt, which was upside down, and made me a replacement second key.
Really nice guy. I hope I don't need a locksmith again anytime soon, but I'd call him again, for sure, and recommend him to others.

Mr. Nolan was on time, courteous and finished his work quickly. I managed to lock myself out of my new home about one hour after he left. He came right back to let me in and only charged me gas money. What a great guy! Everyone knows how stressful moving is and Mr. Nolan was really helpful.

Created a key to door to mechanical room since I had not gotten one from new tenant and needed to get in for a service.

James was right on time, honest and fair in his inspections and evaluations. He was friendly but professional. He was more than willing and happy to do the "shortcut" cheaper work if I would have wanted that - but was just as willing and happy to do the work when I asked for the additional work replacing the locks altogether. He had all the necessary tools, parts, and equipment to do all the needed/requested work so there was no delay.
It took him 45 minutes to do his inspections, make his recommendations, give me time to consider the options and make a decision, do all the requested work, cut the extra keys, test all the keys on both doors, explain the work done, allow me to ask questions, and have me pay.
I will definitely be using Nolen Locksmithing again for any future locksmithing needs.

After installing a new entry door, we decided to also install a new handle set and deadbolt. I thought that I would be able to handle it, but quickly determined that I was in over my head. When I called, James reassured me that it was something that he could resolve. He responded promptly (arrived in less than an hour) to assist in finishing the install.
He was professional, kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and clean. He got started quickly, and finished the job very efficiently. He was sure to clean up after himself. Thanks so much, we will use you the next time we need a locksmith!

Very smooth experience from start to finish. Requested that four locks be re-keyed. When he arrived, he told me that the key blanks used in the existing lock were uncommon in our area and that he didn't have them on hand. He offered to have the quantiy we needed shipped overnight or to replace the cylinders and complete the job on the spot. The cost to replace the cylinders was extremely reasonable, so we chose to do that. The lock cylinders were replaced on four doors and 60 copies of the key made in not much more than an hour. No complaints at all.

Overall he did a great job. I couldn't have been more pleased with his work. He was very professional, efficient and cleaned up after himself. The final price was what he quoted over the phone even though he did extra work on the door. I will definately use Nolen Locksmithing again and will recommend him to my friends and family.
