Mike Sikora's Dayton Home Improvement

Mike looked at our home a few times, and spent a lot of time with us there, and in his showroom, explaining options, and costs. We made selections with confidence, in the quality of the products, and Mike's reputation for standing behind his work. The price was competitive - lower than another large regional company. Lead time was a bit long, but we were warned about that, since we had placed our order in early summer. The quality of the workmanship, and the materials, are very good. I'm a tough critic, and found nothing to be reworked. We plan to have Mike do a door installation next year.

Mike worked with our insurance company and the mortgage lender to sort out all the details from work that was supposed to be done by a company that abandoned the work. Mike was so professional to work with but has a personal touch that cannot really makes you feel important. Fabulous job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's excellent. I called them and they don't want to do any work for me because we were too small for a job and they ended up doing the work. They put a kitchen in the boarding room, put a shower head, washer dryer, and put tiles. I couldn't believe what they had done and if I have a problem, I would call them and they'd be up the next morning and take good care of me. I really like their integrity.

I cannot say enough about the overall quality and professionalism we received from Dayton Home Improvements. When Mike Sakora said we are going to love the work that was going to be performed, he was right. From start to finish on a daily basis the work area was picked up and clean. All of the installers were friendly and on time that was quoted. If you want a company that stands behind they're quality and workmanship AND ease of dealing with, than Mike Sakora's Dayton Home Improvements is your company!

The gentleman I interacted with was very polite and professional. When I asked for more details to support the quote, the company became unresponsive. The price was rather high compared to another quote I got and that was why I was interested in getting more details. Initially they were polite and professional.

The type of roof we had, it needed to have the tear off all the shingles. Therefore, they tore off all the shingles that were there. They replaced the tarpaper and then they did the roof. They were professional. They were not the lowest bid we got but we felt they had the best reputation and quality. In addition, it was replaced by insurance. I thought the price was fair for the type of roof we have. We would use them again in the future.

In our neighborhood, several families have used this company for window, door, siding and soffit work.We contacted them for a bid to do some replacement work, and decided to choose DHI because of their reputation from neighbor's work, and because of discussions with the owner Mike Sikora DHI was wonderful. Some of the work was repairs from a job that a previous company had botched, and the difference was night and day in every aspect of workmanship, professionalism,and quality. The crew was incredible, and so was their work. Kept the jobsite clean, parked their cars properly, put in a full days work, no excessive cell phone chatter, no loud radio music. Mike, the owner, is very attentive to detail and extremely responsive to your questions. He is on site frequently checking on the job's progress and would come in the evening so we could have a chance to discuss anything in person at the job site. This was helpful to cover details he would see that perhaps we wouldn't notice.John did a great job installing two doors, being meticulous about every detail. An honest company that does quality work. What more could you ask for.

Replaced 6 windows. Took a little longer than expected to complete, maybe my over expectation on time to finish job. Quality of job was exceptional. Caulking superb. Would use again, but would ask more specifics on how long job will take.

Scott, sales guy who came and did estimate, was great. In the beginning, he was in constant contact to coordinate the work and times. He said all 3 of the jobs would work end to end and take no more than about a month. The roof came quickly and was completed within 1 day. They even worked with me when they found that roof decking needed to be replaced. They worked with the insurance company to try to get it covered in in the settlement. When the workers left, I could not tell they had been there. GREAT ROOFING CREW!!!

The gutters took a bit of time to start. They showed up and did them while I was out of town. I didn't even realize they had done them until I came home and noticed that a downspout was moved. They did great work.

The patio awning came about 5 weeks later. I had called Scott to see about when things would be happening as winter was getting close. I never heard back from him. I then got a call from the office to schedule. The crew was fantastic. They actually had to modify the new awning to fit and fixed a problem that I had hoped to fix when the new awning was in.

Overall, the crews did great work and cleaned up after them selves. The only problem I had was with the time and contact. I understand that with the storms of the summer of 2011, construction companies were busy. But, the communication could have been better to schedule and keep me informed when things were going to happen. Roof I had 1 day notice, gutters...still not sure when they did it, and the awning was 1 day notice.

The whole project was suppose to take a month and it took over 3 months.

I would use this company again but, I think I would demand a bit more communication as far as timing and keeping me updated with progress.

This house already had white gutter system, and the company was willing and able to use some of the existing downspouts with the new gutters. This saved a little money and reduced the amount of old material that had to be gotten rid of. I've used them for this kind of work before and have been satisfied enough to call on them again.

They were great. They had good quality work and good service. They were prompt.

The window looks wonderful. The job happened just the way I was told it would. The installer was very knowledgeable and personable and professional. It was a nasty winter day to be working outside but he got all the inside work done and only then opened to the outside. He got the new window right in and I was amazed how little time my house was open to the cold.

THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE WHO DO A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB. THEY ALSO DID A GREAT JOB OF CLEANING UP THEIR MESS WHEN THEY FINISHED. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK AND PRODUCTS THEY USED.
