Meridian Capstone Insurance

As an insurance "agent", this company did little but get me to sign off on an insurance agreement and relayed everything else through the underwriter. I'm actually not sure what services they provided to me. The few times I've reached out to them regarding billing information (e.g. "How to make my payment") they were only as helpful as taking my credit card over the phone. The bills I received came directly from my underwriter so it was confusing as to whom I was paying and for what.
I received quite a few threats about terminating my policy while doing business with this insurer -- only to find out that they were throwing in hidden fees like a $5 mailing fee that (this was their agent's words) my agent must have misinformed me about. In their defense, I was going to be late on a payment (I couldn't figure out who/how to pay) but the way they go about collecting money from someone with $3,000/year in policies is extremely unprofessional and pushy. Never once did they simply pick up the phone and call -- they just let the underwriter send me threatening mail.
Later on, I decided to shop around and I received better quotes from underwriters directly.
In the end, I decided to switch insurance companies. The man I spoke with was very unprofessional, short, demanding, and I would never do business with this company again. I believe his name was Ryan but it was difficult to pick up when he answered the phone.
