They fixed the water leak on the first try. They have a "water doctor" specialist come in and fix it. They also fixed a leak a different leak on the driver's side a few years ago. This was after taking my car to another Honda dealer in Beavercreek a half a dozen times and that dealer not being able to fix the leak (and talking to several other people at that dealer's waiting room who had the same problem). If you have a leak that is not getting fixed right, I would encourage taking it to Castrucci's.

Matt Castrucci Honda found that the tires were installed incorrectly. They installed them correctly and applied the sealant that was missing. They fixed the issue and I no longer have any problems with the tires. The service manager is very fair and everyone there really listens. Kudos to the employee who noticed the problem!

I replaced the tires on my new car because I did not like the original tires.
The car dealer gave me a really good deal on the take off tires. They also did a great job of installation. I actually check the lug nut torque and tire air pressure when ever anyone works on my car tires. Rarely is everything done to specification. Except this time. Matt Castrucci Honda did it all perfect.
On a previous visit, I asked if my car should have the timing belt replaced. According to the owners manual, you should have the belt changed after so many years regardless of mileage. But the maintenance adviser said it was highly unlikely that my car needed to have the belt replaced at the low mileage my car had. Many dealers would have been glad to make a little more money from me, but they were honest.

The salesman was very knowledgeable about all Hondas for sale. Usually I know more about the cars than the sales people. On the test drive we actually drove about 7 miles to my house to show my wife who approved of the car. We then drove back to the dealer and closed the deal.
I used the results of my TrueCar.com search for establish the sales price. The dealer accepted the price right away. If you like to haggle, you can probably get a better price than the TrueCar price. But the TrueCar way just makes the process more pleasant. The financial person was pleasant to deal with. He did offer all the extended warranties but was not pushy about it. He would probably get in trouble with the boss if he didn't make the offers.
The car was cleaned up and delivered with no defects. They even filled the gas tank!
This dealer does not send out those really sleazy advertisements. Other Honda dealers were sending letters saying my current Honda Pilot was in very strong demand on the used car market and they were willing to pay me top dollar for it. I cannot stand such nonsense. Mat Castrucci also does not past his name on all the cars. Another of my pet peeves. Finnaly, he puts mud guards on all the cars without adding it to the sticker price. I always put the those guards on anyway to protect against stones.
Just a pleasant car purchase experience.

Matt Castrucci Honda on the Kia side with service and everything I would give them "A's" on everything.  It was great.  With the pricing I really didn't haggle that much.  They said it' the end of the month and if you want it that's what it's going to be.  Would stood out was the convenience.

Scheduling was easy. Service Adviser (Kevin) was very competent, helpful and professional, After getting vehicle home after service, discovered that incorrect oil was documented as having been used, and found all engine air filter housing bolts broken where they had been apparently over-torqued after they checked the filter condition. Returned next business day and same service adviser arranged for oil replacement and repair of broken bolts w/o any question. This required a third return to the facility. Service adviser was great, can't say the same about the folks in the shop.

Easy and timely scheduling.  Price is consistent with other dealers.  Took car in for service early and finished in a timely manner.  Saved us money by explaining that we did not yet need to rotate tires.

I and my daughter have a 2004 RX8 and she just had to pay thousands of
dollars to repair something that could have been prevented with a
procedure called a zoom clean every 15,000 miles. Since I had never
heard of this I called Castrucci service, where I bought the car, to
have it done on my car. Their service representative told me that he
had never heard of that but after talking to his parts man they recalled
that there was a service bulletin that had come out years ago that had
defined the procedure. He said that if I wanted it done I would have to
buy the chemicals in bulk for around $500 and that it would be at least
$85 in labor. I called theother local Mazda dealer, Jeff Schmitt, and
they said that they had done it dozens of times in the last 6 months
and that it would run $170.
If you have an RX8, I would not go here because they are not up to date on the needs of that vehicle.

After they worked on it one of the tires is making a weird rubbing sound so I wonder if they did not tighten something when they finished. I have the car in now for them to check it but I have not heard from them yet. I will use them again in the future.

Attempted to buy a used car from them. They have the usual high pressure sales technique, but I was particularly turned off by what they consider a fair offer. After using Edmunds, Kelley, CarFax, and an independent mechanic (indicating the car needed a few repairs), I gave them an offer at Blue Book MSRP for average condition minus price of repair minus a negotiating start point. (as if it didn't need repairs). They showed me their counter with what they considered their "investment value" (what they consider their break even point) which had to be wrong as it was $5000 above Blue Book value for the trade in value (and they bought it at auction per Car Fax). I countered to this seemingly impossible break even point (which was $500 below asking price) minus cost of repairs. No deal. Who pays asking price in a used lot? The used car market must be better than I thought. I walked, they let me, didn't seem to phase them. They were courteous but must think there are enough gullible people out there that they did not need me.

Overall, my experience with Matt Castrucci was a complete mess. I took my 5-speed manual transmission '01 Civic (84,000 miles) to Matt Castrucci and asked them to take a look at the car, as it was making a weird noise. I told the person who checked my car in that the noise seemed to be coming from the passenger-side front wheel. I also told the person that the noise was constant at highway speeds - even if I stepped on the clutch and let the car coast. Finally, I mentioned that I thought it might be the wheel bearing - based on information I'd found on the Internet. Castrucci came back a few hours later with bad news - the noise wasn't a wheel bearing - the transmission was going bad and needed to be replaced. I was told that Honda doesn't repair transmissions and that they would have to replace it with a used transmission that only included a 3 month warranty. I asked if the car was still safe to drive - they said yes - so I said I would take it elsewhere for a second/third opinion. I drove the car home and let it sit while I explored my options. I ended up deciding to try and work things out at Matt Castrucci - since I'd already dropped $80 on the initial visit. I took the car back to Matt Castrucci - to let them tear down the transmission. I was basically entering into an agreement that I would pay for them to disassemble the transmission, with the understanding that the final cost of the repair would not be known until they got it all apart. I received a call a couple of hours after dropping it off. The service manager was calling with "great news!". It turns out that upon further investigation, (with two techs looking at it this time) the transmission wasn't responsible for the noise at all. It was a bad wheel bearing on the passenger side front wheel. I explained that I was glad to hear the car didn't need any transmission work after all, but that I was extremely frustrated that the issue ended up being the very problem I suggested when I dropped the car off the first time. It was an unnecessarily inconvenient experience that wasted a lot of my time. Yes, it was great to get away with a $300 bill - when Castrucci's estimates for transmission work fluctuated between $1700 and $3300 - but I walked away feeling as though I would have been a lot happier and more trusting of Castrucci's work if they would have been able to correctly diagnose the problem the first time around.
