The work was performed as contracted and as required by state and local building official's. The workers were cordial and worked diligently to complete the work. Their help with the filing of insurance claims documents was invaluable to the completion of the project. Great job!

This company is out of business. Owner says he "lost his crew" and cannot fulfill his 2 year warranty. Roof area at repair site continues to leak but he is unable to inspect it. Not sure why martin Ran is still listed on Angies List. The work involved replacing chimney flashing on 2 chimneys, which he said would rectify the problem. Apparently, that was not the "cure" since roof continued to leak. His crew did return once to update repairs, however roof continues to leak.

"[Martin Ran ] I am NOT out of Business ! I am piled up with losses due to the tornado ! I said to you that we lost our repair crew . The reason why I texted you that is because nobody wants to repair a roof anymore. But I have hired someone and he is working on Sundays for me. He was going to look at your house on Sunday coming up. Maybe I should have told you this past weekend ? My fault. I will call you today. Please do not make my company look bad sir. I took on your job for pennies on the dollar to help you out a year and a half ago. WE reflashed both chimneys. Months later you had leaks in the same area. I do not believe it's coming from the chimney as we tore up the whole area, put ice and water guard on then reflashed . And you just paid my roofers. I didn't make hardly anything except material money. I did as a favor and nobody warranties a repair. I believe it's coming in from your gutters that are backed up, and this is a maintenance issue. Your roof has needed replacing for almost 10 years, so cut me some slack please. I will call you later on today"

We hired Martin Ran Inc. to do a conversion of our garage into a bedroom. Once the work was done, there was no indication that this room was ever a garage. We found them to be professional, punctual, friendly, and the quality of the work was excellent. We will definitely call him for future projects!

It was kind of like mind bogglingly good. We had some damage to our roof and they sent Marty out and he was able to really educate us on how the whole process goes. He brought us on the roof, showed us what was wrong. I love the whole roof. They did the whole thing in one day which was awesome. They brought the interior guys out on the same day as the roof and while they were there, I went ahead and paid them to do some gutters and some other stuff. They brought out 4 different crews and did it all in one day. So I come home from work and it was all done. I recommend these guys all the time. They were great. They gave me a lifetime warranty on my shingles. They were actually referred to me by a family member who they have worked with so they sort of came in with a little bit of trust already. There were no downpayments, I paid them at the end of the day. I paid them about $15,000 worth of damage and then I paid them another $5,000 for the gutters, shutters, painting and some interior stuff. They have a great drywall crew. Tom came in and took him 3 hours to paint the interior. I was really impressed with their crew. They cleaned up their mess. They showed up at exactly 7:00. They tarped from the gutters down the yard, put the screens off my house so that if shingles were falling, nothing would get damaged. They took all the stuff away, removed the roofing off the roof and put it in their own dumpster. When they were done, they swept up and actually reraked my mulch. They made sure their weren't any nails lying around. There was nothing for us to do. From the moment that we first met them, we talked about the scope of the project and they actually got paid a little bit less than they were probably originally anticipating. When they got to the roof, they discovered that there were some rotten plywood. They told me that they always bring plywood with them. Everything I said were appropriately installed, they did what I wanted and it looks great. The gutters were installed correctly and so we haven't had any water building up in there. They were pretty responsive. There was somebody in the office that I can always talk to. They never screened me which I really appreciate.

They did a better job than the roof that had been repaired before. The two men that I worked with were very polite and professional, as were their employees. Once we got everything taken care of with the insurance company, they did the work within two days. They even repaired some things that were actually not on their job list. They really went above and beyond. They did clean up after themselves, as well.

Just had a new roof 3 years ago, after a storm came through town, I decided to get my roof checked.
Martin Ran came out to inspect the hail damage. One night, while sitting at my dinning room table he told me he would be willing to report the leak in my roof for me. I thought I would call my insurance agent, but he insisted that it would be a quicker process if he would make the call to my insurance agency. After some back and forth the claim was submitted and the adjuster was scheduled to come out and inspect the damages.  He told me to call him when the adjuster calls and he will meet them at my home for the follow up inspection. Martin and the adjuster inspected my roof, various damage windows and even the A/C unit. After the inspection, Martin asked me to call him when Lisa (that adjustor) sent the check. Martin called to check the status but I had not received the check. By the time I received the check, the roof was no longer my number priority. I tried to tell Martin that I appreciate his diligences and for checking up on me but I would contact him when I was ready to complete the project.  Martin told me you need to get that check in the bank. Thats money to fix your roof. He went on to claim that I spent the money on paint to paint my bedroom. This made me upset. Martin told me that he doesn't work for free. Martin went on to ask "are you getting a new roof?". He told me that I had to spend the money with him. Martin told me that the contract I signed had a second page that stated his company had the right to come back and claim the money. I told Martin that he was making nervous and I would like him to leave or I'll call to the police. Martin smiled and told me to go ahead and call the police. After hearing this, I called my insurance agent apologizing for not involving him in the process from the beginning. Both my agent and my son told me I should get rid of him. My agent told me to "X" out the contract and write on the contract that Martin had misrepresented himself. When I signed the contract I objected to various questionable portions of the agreement and crossed them off the paper and signed the revised copy. At no point was a second page made available to me. I am surprised now by the aggressive tactics and the use of the contract as a means to get me to spend the money on his time-line and not my own. I will complete the project but I don't want to be mistreated. This whole process has been nerve racking. Martin would never tell me the type of shingles he planned to use on the project. When he finally told me, i did some research to find out that brand (IKO Shingle) were not receiving good reviews. I thankful that my insurance agent told me about Angies' List. I wanted to warn others about their aggressive tactics and find highly rated roofers who are more customer friendly.

"We did a roof for this young lady's church, as well as many of the members that had hail damage. She signed an agreement to give the company that I worked for the business when I got the roof approved. She signed the agreement. She received way more money than she thought because the adjuster and I were diligent about doing the repairs. When she got the check, she avoided me. She would not return phone calls, or would not go to her church either because I was going there with my family also. She spent the money on other things, instead of honoring her agreement with our company. I showed up at her house since she was avoiding me and the pastor who was trying to convince her to do the right thing. If she didn't like the shingles we were using I told her that I could have switched them for her. We had a legal binding contract that she broke. She didn't do the right, or Christian thing. Plus she quit going to that church because they confronted her also about doing the right thing. The only reason we did not sue her is because we did not want to cause trouble at the church. She wants to blame me, when I did nothing wrong. I wish her the best, but she will have to face her own karma for what she did."
