Our yard looks worse now than it did. Consistent bare spots dead gass and weeds. I have asked that some come out to speak directly with me about what I'm seeing so that we could correct it but they always send someone when I'm not here. Even after ask for a call before they arrive. I began seeing on my treatment statement that they "could not access the back yard". I do have a trailer on the side of the house but, I can get a mower past it. Even if their machine won't fit, I thought most companies would use a hand spreader. With that being said, I was always charged full price for half the work and product. The last application all this occurred. I called to tell them about the weeds and that I needed a spot treatment and after the treatment I wanted to cancel. I was then literally laughed at by Rebecca the call taker. Mind you the retreat is supposed to be part of the paid service. I then asked for her name, she said have a good day and hung up.

The guy who comes to fertilize our lawn does a great job. Our problem is with the front office. They call every day to sell something. We have asked them not to call, then a different person calls. These people are a reflection of your company. They seem to feel it is funny to harass me.

Great job by the Leisure Lawn team. I've used them for two seasons now and have been pleased with their work. Matt was the tech first assigned to my care for my property and this year it was Mark. Both gentlemen did a great job and my lawn has much improved over the prior company I used. Always appreciate those that take great care in their work and do a quality job.

They've been working with us for 10 years. They are a little expensive. They come four times over the summer. They come regularly. It costs $50 each visit. We like them, so we stay with them.

Sales guy came by when the appointment was scheduled. Explained what they could to do improve the appearance of my lawn. No high pressure sales pitch. Just honest answers. Signed me up for fertilization and weed control. Tech came by as expected. Mark Todd was the tech. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He spent 30 minutes walking the property pointing out issues and how the treatments will fix them. Explained how the products worked. Explained when I should see results. Said it may take more than 1 treatment to kill the weeds but my plan included unlimited weed control treatments. He performed the services said to wait a week and if dandelions were gone to call for additional service.
Most dandelions were killed but a few remained. Called for an additional treatment. Service was scheduled and tech showed up as promised.
Very happy with the service so far. They have done exactly what was promised when it was promised.

Leisure Lawn always did a good job for us, lawn always looked great and I never touched it. However, they called all the time trying to sell their home insect treatment, tree/bush treatments, etc. One time they came out unannounced, looked at our trees, declared them bug-infested or disease-ridden. I know a thing or two about tree/bush diseases and those trees were perfectly healthy. What took the cake was when they said our Redbud Tree had something going on on it. We don't have a Redbud Tree. When the guy called asking what we thought about the and quot;assessmentand quot;, he argued with me about the and quot;Redbud Treeand quot;. It's a Magnolia bush that I've trained into a 20-foot tree-like specimen. And no, none of our neighbors have a Redbud Tree, so it's not like he accidentally crossed a property line.
The final straw was the price-creep over the past few years. What used to cost me $50 3 or 4 years ago had gone up to $60 - for a small less-than-1/3 acre lot with a house, large patio, and many gardens (so, there's not a lot of grass to treat).

Leisure Lawn has done a great job for us for 10 years or so. They just automatically show up and do what's necessary. Our lawn always looks great, I rarely need to irrigate, and when the lawn goes dormant in the summer in the dry weather it greens right back up nice and lush when the weather breaks.
Our lot is an average/small (.3 acre) suburban lot in a development in Centerville. I figure they're treating around 9000 sf of lawn (13,000 sf lot - 4000 sf of house/garage footprint, driveway, patio, landscaping, sidewalks). They charged me $60 per treatment and $75 for aeration in 2013. Not bad, I suppose, but that does represent price creep over the past few years. As recently as 2011 they were charging $50 for the treatments and $65 for aeration. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but I haven't had a raise since 2008 and am quite sensitive to the little stuff nowadays. In 2013 I canceled the 2nd fertilizer treatment in the Spring to save money and because I was cutting the grass every 5 days. The lawn did just fine.
I did notice more weeds in 2013. I'm not sure if that was a result of them changing their formulations or because of the constant rain we had. But it wasn't noticeable enough for me to call them. I just got out there with some of my own Weed-B-Gone (that I was using in the gardens anyway).
They've stepped-up their telemarketing in recent years, calling 4 +/- times per year trying to sell us perimeter insecticide treatment and tree/bush treatment. When the and quot;specialistand quot; told me our Redbud tree didn't look right and it needed a treatment, I was mildly amused - we have just 6 +/- types of trees here, and most are evergreen. No Redbud. That guy didn't know a Redbud from a Bud Lite. Pass. (I do my own tree/bush care and there are no problems).
All-in-all Leisure Lawn does a wonderful job on the lawn - I don't do anything but cut it. However, other lawns in the neighborhood look good, too. So, I'm here in Angie's List checking out competitors to see if there are any I should call to see if I can get a better rpice.

Home seems warmer. Crew was not terribly personable (did not introduce themselves), but did explain well what they had done. Salesman made some errors in drafting work order.

2-3 days after treatment had large brownish areas in both front and back yard.
Have only been able to speak to lady that answers the phone. Initially told that a supervisor would be out to check my lawn. After hearing nothing for approx. 1 week I called back and was told by the secretary that she was unsure whether the supervisor had checked my lawn, but he would be unavailable for 3 more days.
I waited.
After hearing nothing, I once again called the office and secretary was still unable to tell me whether the illusive supervisor had checked the damage to my lawn.
While I found the secretary very pleasant, not once was I afforded the courtesy of being contacted by the owner or anyone in a position of authority. I feel that the organization is poorly managed, therefore, I would not recommend them or use them again in the future.

Pros: The technician was very nice and professional. He did a great job.
Cons: I later found that TruGreen is connected with Leasure Lawn. I had problems with Trugreen and switched to Leasure as a result. I later found that my customer files with each were combined. I received services I did not want or need. WIth Leasure Lawn, when you dial a specific office, you talk with people actually at that office. This is not true with Trugreen. The Trugreen people will tell you anything. I am certain that Leasure Lawn will soon, if they have not already, work the same way. I will not use either firm in the future.

I contacted Leisure Lawn and their salesman was very kind and professional. The first service was performed promptly. The price was considerably higher than the competitor we used last year but if they provide good service and follow through, it will be worth it. The salesman is former military and seems genuinely interested in keeping the customer happy. He told me to contact him if the service is not as promised and he will make it right.

They are so much better this year. Both my brother and I use leisure lawn and have excellent technicians. Lawn service is only as good as the technician and we have a great one this year. Our lawn looks perfect! One suggestion if you choose to use them is have them put them on your no solisitation calls list. They were calling almost every week to get us to purchase another service. My relationship with them is much better now that we no longer get those dinnertime calls.
