John T Reese & Son Contractors

The work was done methodically, professionally, and within the timeframe we were told. They took all aggravation out of it by securing the permit from the city, scheduling the date for the work, showing up on time, and finishing the job in one day. We are extremely pleased with the result, and highly recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work to be done.

This was a pretty big project, done 6 years ago. I was very happy at the time and I posted a positive review. But this Spring I noticed some significant problems with my driveway. I contacted them and asked them to look at the problem and come up with a a solution. They may or may not have come out, but they did not return repeated phone calls. I even wrote a letter and still got no response. It has been 6 years, and I did not expect them to fix it for free, but I did expect them to stand behind their work and make things right. Now I'll have to find another contractor. Their behavior is so different that my initial experience. I don't understand - it is very disappointing. This review is based on my attempts to contact them in the last two months and their lack of response and failure to stand behind their work.

prompt quote, work done professionally.  Quote was competitive.  Only gripe, a small one, the grass removed or damaged by the work was not repaired or peplaced well.  A handful of grass seed, seemingly mostly rye grass, was all I noted.

Addressed all issues and details of the job in the initial visit. Started earlier than he had planned and worked full days until the job was done. Stayed within estimate.

I could not imagine having a more positive experience. From start to finish, Mr. Reese was the consummate professional. We had recently spent a small fortune rebuilding our retaining wall and I was very concerned that it not be damaged or dirtied with the driveway repaving. Mr. Reese gave us an estimate promptly. Then, he even revised it to specifiy that the stone wall would be kept pristine, just to allay my fears. He and his workers lined the entire length of the wall with plastic and kept it perfect. Not only did the job take less time than I anticipated, but they were able to begin the work a day earlier than first quoted. There were, I believe, a total of four workers on the job (including the owner), and Mr. Reese supervised all of the work himself. This is service and quality like you used to receive. It is obvious the pride Mr. Reese takes in his craft. We did get an estimate from one other well-known company. The quotes were within $30 of each other, and I liked the personal assurances I received from Mr. Reese, so we went with him. We're glad we did!
