My experience was good. Price was good.

Mr Brian James did an "Excellent" job for us, he was extremely responsive to us and his crew lead (Dan) and crew did and outstanding job. Their effort to make sure they understand the details of what we wanted done was impeccable and their dedication to making sure the job was done correctly and to our expectations were beyond what we expected.  When they ran into a problem with routing cables due to home wall construction to hear their conversation for them to take the time no matter how long and doing the work to make sure it is done right and to our expectations was extremely gratifying, they were working hard to do a great job and it was obvious to us. They did a great daily cleanup and took the time to give us daily brief on work progress as well.  Job result is wonderful and we are loving the look and placement of the television relocation they did for us.  We have several other projects we want done over time and will definitely be calling Mr. Brian James to take care of those projects for us.

They were professional and nice enough. I felt they could have done the job well but cost was extremely high to borderline ridiculous.

It was a beautiful job.They will come back in the next couple of weeks to do some additional work. There was a minor little problem which they fixed and didn't cost any money. We trusted them so much and they are marvelous and would use them again in the future. We were satisfied with the people who came. I would not think of contacting anyone else but them only. I would grade their services excellent in overall.

I was provided with a detailed estimate up front. James was very patient with me as I changed my mind several times about what I wanted. The guys doing the work were prompt, got the work done quickly and did a great job.

Our experience with James construction was  the epitome of what a good contractor/ client relationship should be. From the onset, James construction presented themselves in a highly professional yet approachable manner. Mr. Kent, our initial contact, walked through the house with us and offered many insightful suggestions that we used int he later project. He was very knowledgeable about many aspects of the project, and was a trustworthy guide through this entire time. He offered professional guidance through the rough spots and was able to find alternatives when needed. We live in an older house in Oakwood. It was apparent that James Construction had the experience to make our project work.







With that said, they provided timelines and finished both our projects either early or on time. They were very responsive to all our questions.And allowed for open communication at all times.  I LOVED the fact that the lead carpenter Dan kept a dry erase board in the kitchen with a day to day breakdown of the goals of the day AND a place for us to leave questions. The contractors were meticulous in cleaning up after themselves every day, and despite the fact we were having our kitchen basically ripped out, we were rarely without a stove or sink. They made sure our interim kitchen was somewhat functional.







The end result after six weeks is nothing short of phenomenal. Our kitchen is exquisite. The attention to detail is noticeable in every nook and cranny of this room. From the tile backsplash to the new threshold that Dan had to manufacture, there was no detail overlooked. And we now have a kitchen that surpasses our expectations. We are happy to giventhis company the highest recommendation that we can. They earned our trust, and we were happy to have them enhance our enjoyment of our home. We would not hesitate to have them do another project in our house.

James met me on time and in a very professional manner. He spent around a half-hour with me, walking through the house, reviewing the old bid, discussing what work would need to be carried fourth, what materials I had, etc...
Around a week later, I received an email from him with a cost proposal. I am still working with my bank (who holds the money for the renovation loan) so I was unable to hire James. His costs were much higher than I expected; e.g. charging $400 just to "touch" drywall in a given room. However, I am confident that the work he would provide would be well worth the money spent. He mentioned the cost of his painters being even higher; but compared to the work I was left with from the previous contractor, I believe he would hold true to his word as a "real" general contractor and guarantee a quality job.

We would like to highly recommend this company to everyone. From the estimate to the work done on the site, everyone we meet was professional and obviously highly skilled at their jobs. Mr. Kent, the company representative who gave us our initial estimate and ultimately won out over the other contractors we brought through the house was extremely thorough. He also worked with us to make sure were were able to get our work done in a timely manner, allowing us to enjoy the potential that we saw in our new home. Dan, the carpenter, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He communicated with us both in person and via email if sissues arose. He also was on time every day and the crew never left a mess after hours.  What impressed us the most was the attention to detail that was evident every step of the way. This was the first of a few projects that we want completed in the home. We will happily work with this company again!

They were wonderful. They were great and they were on time. They did what they were supposed to do. If things went over, they came and told me before they started the additional work. They were very professional in what I have expected. I was very satisfied with their work. They're going to come out next month and do some more work for me. I would hire them again.

My experience with James Construction and Renovation LLC was wonderful. The quality of their work was excellent. They designed the porch, the architectural ability of the firm was amazing. They were very courteous and they worked in every detail to make it just the way we wanted. They cleaned up very well. They began the project in April and finished in August, it was a big project. They did a fabulous job. I would definitely use them again.

They have been here for seven months already and are almost complete with the final phase of the job. I think that Bryan has researched his subcontractors thoroughly and they are all extremely top notch. Everything has been done beautifully!  We have traveled twice to Europe and been away for almost three weeks each time. We have left the house and provided the crew members with access to the house. We had no fear at all that anything would be taken, misplaced, or done wrong. The workman that have been here are very friendly, trustworthy, and great! One thing they do, which is very unusual for contractors, is that they arrive promptly at 7:15am which is fifteen minutes earlier than the scheduled time.  The work they did in the garage is beautiful and the floors look amazing! I would highly recommend James Construction for any remodeling.

The planning has gone well so far.

I disliked the price as I was expecting no more than $5000 for a small bathroom. However, James Construction gave me the lowest quote. They did a fabulous job. They kept the place clean during the work and put protective coverings over everything. The gentleman even went with me to Lowe’s to pick out tiles, flooring, and fixtures.

They were fine. We didn't go with them because of the price. We got several quotes. They were very professional and prompt. It really came down to price.

We needed repair on our concrete driveway, steps and sidewalk, building facia rotten wood replaced and anodized black aluminum installed, porch railing repaired and repainted.

The job took a little longer than anticipated but overall it was a painless experience working with Brian James.
