Houck Remodeling is a family-owned and operated business. Our showroom is located at 960 Meadows Manor Court, Suite B in Washington Township, OH. We proudly serve the entire Dayton and surrounding areas. We strive to provide our customers with a finished product and a remodeling experience that exceeds their expectations, in the shortest time possible, and with the least inconvenience to your home life. We have been in business since 1984, and have extensive knowledge of the housing industry. We are affordable, reliable, and budget conscious. We do all types of home improvement projects (big or small). We are fully insured (as are all of our sub-contractors). We carry several lines of products not available in any "big-box store".

Description of Work: I had an appointment scheduled with this company for some extensive remodeling projects in my home. Our appointment time was at 6:00 PM. By 6:20 PM, the contractor still had not arrived. I checked my phone and found a voicemail left at 6:00PM stating his truck "broke down" and he needed to reschedule. I called back and expressed my disappointment that the cancellation call was made at the exact time as the appointment. It seems to me that the first call you would have made was to the customer you were scheduled to see, not waiting until the exact appointment time to cancel. A more timely call would have been acceptable and appreciated.I expressed my frustration at this untimely cancellation. The owner of the company (the contractor) told me "If you are going to be that way, I probably didn't want to work for you anyway". He hung up on me! So much for good customer service. Evidently, this company is doing so well that they don't need any additional business.I am sure this story will have a happy ending for me as I will definitely choose a more reliable and customer friendly company for my remodeling needs.
