Rodney Highfield originally came out to provide an estimate for a coating to our garage floor. He informed us that the floor was not in good enough condition to provide the coating. He suggested a contractor to do a garage floor replacement job. I really appreciated Rod's honesty when he told me his product would not repair my garage floor.
After replacing the garage floor, I contacted Rod (Highfield Door Sales) for an estimate on a new garage door. We discussed the doors without any pressure to sell.
The workers arrived timely. The work they did was wonderful. I would highly recommend this company for any product they sell.
Rodney Highfield arrived on schedule at my home. He thoroughly explained the various garage and storm doors and how they would work for me. He told me that both items I chose were on back order for about 6 weeks which was not a concern as long as the garage door would be in by December.
The person that installed the garage door called prior to coming out and installing the garage door. He had the door installed in a 2-3 hours. He cleaned up before leaving which was a pleasant surprise.
The man that installed the the storm doors followed the same protocol that the garage door installer did.
Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous to me. The doors were installed prior to winter weather arriving. I am very pleased with their service and thrilled with my insulated garage door and storm doors.
"My Name is Rodney Highfield Owner of Highfield Door Sales. Our intention at Highfield Door every day we all come in to work is to treat all our customers as we would want to be treated at our own home. If we are able to learn from our mistakes and improve ourselves with every error we make, then our mistakes can become tools of our betterment, but it is not guaranteed without a conscious effort on our part. My comment to the letter that the customer sent to Angie's list is that we didn't do a very good job with them, we should have taken the correct track to the job in the first place, It is unbelievable rare we would ever take the wrong track. If we would have taken the correct track then I feel we wouldn't had this UN-happy customer. Highfield Door has been a growing company over the past few years and our old facility was not very big (1,700 square feet) and it was very difficult to keep things organized in such a small environment with a growing company. We have recently moved to a new 20,000 square foot facility and the deference in organization is so much better so we don't take the wrong track to the job in the first place. We are very sorry for the experience the Zartman's had with our company. As far as the payment goes we did not ask for down payment for the job, so we do like to be paid upon completion and we was not sure that they were coming on Friday and that's the reason for the last call. With all this said we at Highfield Door do aim to please EVERY customer and any mistakes we make along the way, we will make EVERY effort to learn from our mistakes and NOT let things like this happen again. Thank you and best regards Rodney Highfield"
