"Thank you for contacting us. I have looked into our digital calendar and have noticed that not only your address however your name doesn't come up on our scheduling. Is it possible that you have the wrong audio video dealer that you are reviewing? Would it be possible to get the name of the person that came out to your house? We are a company of just under 20 people and with that we have a very detailed way of tracking the way we do our business which includes customers we have visited and of course what the project entails. Our normal time to get an estimate out is under 5 business days. Of course we would call you first to let you know if this estimate would take longer to produce (some times the estimate size is so large it requires more time). However I have a feeling that this was not the case for your estimate. So I did some researching on your address and your name. I couldn't find anything in our system that relates to us ever going out to your home. I even spoke with the other system design engineers if your address and name looked familiar to see if somehow something fell through the cracks. However again I see nothing. I noticed you didn't put anyone's name or information down in this review so I am having a hard time holding someone accountable for your very reasonable request. Please know we understand that we will never be perfect. But we are striving for excellence, so any feedback we receive we take it to heart and want to provide in this industry something very special. That starts with our service. There is no excuse if everything you have said is true that we should of have not provided you with some sort of call back and of course the quote you requested. However like I said before in this email what is very strange is that I have no information or address or even a name matching that we ever came out to visit your home for this. I would love to wrap up the confusion and of course just handle this as a learning experience to whomever I can make accountable for this. But, like I said according to our records this meeting never happened and I wouldn't be able to correct the problem if I'm not able to speak to you about this or gather more information from you on who came out and met with you. One day while in Dayton, I decided to pop in to their shop for a visit. I don't recommend this unless you're feeling lucky because these guys are pretty much appointment driven. Chris spent a few minutes with me discussing my concept but he pretty much told me to come back when I've got specs and measurements for the layout of my basement. I left that first visit feeling like Chris was an a** but rather than get upset I heeded his advice.
Fast forward a couple months and I made my return to Hanson with a plan and an appointment. I sat down with Troy Hanson and we discussed my budget and what sorts of things I wanted for my basement. After the discussion Troy came back with a very detailed quote to support my ultimate Man Cave. Our next discussion was spent tweaking a few items, negotiating prices, and clarifying intent. Ultimately, we had a deal. 3 flat screen TVs, a 110'' movie screen, projector, ceiling mount speakers, Paradigm tower speakers and sub woofer, and a Control4 system--inclusive of electronic door lock for my front door. Not to mention Troy built a plan that allowed me to utilize the numerous Bose speakers I've collected over my adulthood.
Troy even offered to design a home theatre concept which I subsequently used for my project. He took the time to look of pictures of my concepts throughout the rest of the basement, asked about the room's theme and so on. All of this was so that he could draft up a home theatre that would fit with the rest of the basement. It was an awesome design and was included in their overall service fee. Additionally, I decided to purchase my theatre seating through Hanson. I bought 3 Palliser electronic recliners. I have not received them yet due to a backlog and delay with the manufacturer but I expect them to be top notch. The chairs were just over $5000.
Installation was smooth and the installers were extremely professional. From the pre-wire date to the actual installation, everyone I encountered was very professional. Marques Sitter, they read installer, took time to teach me my system and guaranteed his availability for future questions.
I gave them a B on price simply because they aren't cheap.
Hanson delivers awesome and high quality audio video solutions. I would definitely recommend them to others and I would use them again.
