They never performed the work and never returned phone calls after the initial estimate.

This is not the FRANKLYN WOODWORKS AND; HOME REPAIR LLC that it used to be. Day one found out that none of the wood work had been bought yet so they painted ( before removing old wood work). they rushed staining and used spray polyurethane on wood. It looked like crap. Made them redo wood. After redoing wood it still wasn't good so we made them continue working on it and then we drove 30 minutes to their shop to inspect wood before we had to send it back a third time. 3 weeks later and they finally got most of the work done, however I had had enough and I ended up finishing up some touch up painting my self. The job looks pretty good for the most part but this was only because I refused to accept bad work. Still there are some areas in closets that are not quite right with trim. ( See Pics ) I also demanded a discount.

Very smoothly. Prompt estimate, timely, professional work, Most of all the estimate was very appropriate to the problem.

I am very satisfied and pleased with the results. I will us them again and have no reservation recommending them to my friends and neighbors. Initially I reviewed my project needs, and the professionals at Franklyn put together a proposal of the work to be done. It took a couple of iterations via Email to get all the details of the proposal acceptable to both parties. I liked that because then there are no misunderstandings on either the price or the work to be completed. They came in and re-measured everything prior to ordering materials. They did all the door staining and clear-coating prior to bringing the doors on site. During the installation process they were very professional and cleaned up the site when work was completed.

Slow to return phone calls (3 days), if call is returned at all. Scheduled two appointments and they didn't show up for either appointment and did not call to let me know they would not be here.

Franklyn WoodWoorks and Home Repair did a EXCELLENT JOB.
They came out on time and provide me with a detail quote.
They completed the work on time and was very professional. They explained what they were going to do and did a review with me when the work was competed to ensure that I was satisfied with the work. They also did a detail clean up.

 I will be using them in the future for other home repairs.

He did a great job. Even when I messed up and got the wrong size door, he and his crew worked with me to find the best possible solution. Excellent service. He is pricey, but well worth the cost. I will definitely call him when I remodel my kitchen.

Were prompt the day of the work. They cut through floor and joist. framed in hole and ran supports for joist. They used the section they cut out for door and hinged it. Installed a recessed handle and slide barrel lock, then put trim on door to make it look neat. Looked much better than I expected. They were very knowledgeable about their craft and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. They put down drop cloths from the front door to bedroom to keep carpets clean. will definitely hire them again.

Braced floor joists and framed in access door. Used piece that was cut out to make door.looks nice and was exactly what I wanted. Will definitely use them again.

I asked them for an estimate to repair weather damage to my window sills.  They came out to see the windows.  Right away they started explaining wrapping the windows, all nine of them.  I explained I just wanted a repair for now and thought they understood that.  But instead they just sent an estimate for wrapping the windows.  After further discussion they finally said they were not handymen.  I told them they were listed under handymen in Angie's List.  They said that was a mistake.

They did an excellent job and really transformed the area. It looks great. They got the project done in about a week. This was a pretty big job and there was quite a bit of work to do. They worked everyday and worked very hard and efficiently. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I prefer to communicate through messaging. I messaged this provider twice regarding a request for an estimate. One was emailed 4-23-14 and the other was on 5-3-14. As of this date (7-28-14) I never received a reply. I would have at least appreciated a reply to let me know that they are not interested in even coming out to do an estimate.
We have hired someone else and our handicap ramp looks great!
I would not recommend Franklyn Woodworks.

I kind of felt it was a little high.  My husband ended up doing the work himself when they got home because they were good themselves that's the reason we didn't go with them.  They were both very nice, very courteous and seemed to know what they were doing.  They were out here the same however; the quote took a few days for coming.

They're good. When I call them, they come. They're like a neighborhood place, they're close by. They did a good work for me. We've never had any problems with them. I would use them in the future.

They were here for a week, arrived on time every day and ready to work.  I have to admit I was nervous about the work.  We have a 100 yr. old house and I was afraid they would uncover all sorts of problems.  We made a couple of changes during the course of the week and everything went smoothly.  The end result -- I LOVE my kitchen!  We were so pleased with their work they are here this week replacing the roof on our garage.

Not the lowest priced bidder, but part of the reason repair was needed was a faulty roof job by Blaze which resulted in water damage around fireplace and hearth.  I couldn't afford another bad experience.

I am very happy with their work. It went fine and we have had no problems since they fixed the doors.

Frank initially came to our house in September or October to give us an estimate and provide advice on possible options for updating our kitchen cabinets prior to selling our home.  He was very straightforward with us, told us not to spend any money on it, that it wouldn't help at all with respect to selling the house.  He was very friendly, spent a lot of time with us showing us some inexpensive ways to clean the cabinet surfaces and hardware.  We took his advice and just cleaned the cabinet surfaces and the hardware.  After we finished this, part of one of the cabinet doors still did not look good because of discoloration that resulted from years of steam from a rice cooker and crock pot that was used underneath it.  I took the cabinet door to Frank at his shop and he sanded and restained the discolored part for me for no charge.  He is honest and straightforward, always willing to give advice on how to cut costs, do things more economically.

This went really well. Frank came out to perform the estimate, and made some recommendations for a follow-up visit after I performed some light demo. The previous owner had drywalled a ceiling which made estimating the job impossible, so Frank gave me some pointers on how to work around the overhead pipes and ducts and told me to call once I had removed the drywall. Once the estimate was done they managed to schedule service within a month. The timing worked out well for us.

Franklyn Woodworking used a three person crew. Frank came back out and pointed out what he wanted the crew to accomplish.

They sistered the joist and repaired the landing in about four hours, including cleanup of the utility room where they performed the work. The garage closet repair went well, and the attic ladder was installed to specifications.

The total job required about six hours of non-stop work.

The crew was very professional, tidy, and polite.

I was very happy with the work completed.

He was very prompt & came out very quickly after the initial call - same day/next day. He was pretty informative when I met him & said they could do the work soon. I still had some people to talk to at the time & have since decided to pursue service with a different company who offered a different approach that preferred.

This is the best overall experience I have ever had with remodeling.  The estimate was timely.  The job was able to be scheduled in a couple of weeks.  The crew was there ontime each day (2.5 days).   Existing items were disposed of.  Any questions or concerns that I had were answered right away.
