First Option Roofing & Contracting

He was Excellent! Very polite, very informed and made me feel confidant that I didn't have to be overly concerned. It's been a long time since I felt this posititive about tradesmen I've dealt with. I'm definitely have him do any work needed when it is time.

We had hail damage to our roof from a storm that went through our part of Ohio back in the spring of 2011. We had tried twice to get
a new one approved through our insurance company but were denied both times. Months went by. Steve Johannes of First Option Roofing drives by our house frequently and noticed that the damage on our roof still wasn?t repaired while most of our surrounding neighbors have had theirs fixed. He stopped by one day and inquired why and we explained how we had tried and had been denied. He asked if he could try and we said sure.
He met with our insurance adjuster, pointed out all the damage, and our claim was approved! Steve helped with the paperwork, returned our phone calls promptly, and was readily available to answer our many questions. His crew did a great job of getting our roof done quickly and it looks beautiful. We are very grateful to Steve and First Option Roofing and would highly recommend them.

We were referred to Steve by another contractor who was doing some storm damage repairs to our house.  He came out and gave us great advice and showed great subject matter expertise on roofing projects.  He took complete ownership of the entire experience from start to finish, and in the process saved us a lot of time that we would have had to miss work for, such as working out the final details with our insurance company for us.  Steve gave us real time updates on where everything stood, and handled all the issues around the claim, such as changes in pricing because we waited 15 months from the claim date to do the work.  His intimate knowledge of the business allowed us to get the most value.  There are very few contractors out there who are as astute as he is in this business.
When it came time to do the work he came to our house and gave us complete info about how the whole job would be done.  Everything he said came to fruition.  He employs an exceptional, hard working, highly capable crew who did an exceptional job.
They stayed into the evening each of the 3 nights to clean up and left no mess at all.  We didn't find a single nail or any debris near our house or barn upon completion and haven't since.
Steve went out of his way to haul the dumpster to his residence on the last night so it wouldn't be in our way, which is another example of the great total experience he prides giving his customers.
I will only use this company in the future for any roofing issues and highly recommend them.  They are the best and we have been thru this process before and speak from experience.

.  one day via email.  When we met, he was I learned about First Option Roofing from a friend who is a builder and has all of his roofs completed with First Option.  My neighbor also recommended him to me.  All of my contact with the company was with the manager Steve Johannes.  He was prompt in providing an estimate in only one day via email.  Whne we met, he was very attentive to our questions and desires.  His explanatins and comments were very clear and precise.  He kept us advised with what and when things were goiong to be started and kept constant personal supervision until things were completed.  He was very professional and even checked with us several weeks later to make sure that we were still satisfied with the work.  The work at my house was finished and cleaned up in one day.
