F A GOODMAN ELECTRIC

We used Goodman on the recommendation of our realtor when we purchased the house. Mr. Goodman and two others completed the job. Although very nice and professional the crew tracked dirt througout the house from their boots. They also left dirty handprints on the access panel to the attic. I wrongly assumed they would be installing double switches to the existing light switches in the rooms to control the ceiling fans. Instead they installed additional single outlets to controls the fans, which is okay but in 3 out of the 4 rooms the positioning of the switches is not in line with the other switch, and in 1 room the hole they cut was too big to be covered by the switch plate. Also the holes in the ceiling in 2 of the rooms was jagged and much bigger than the power box installed which left rough edges visible when the fans were installed. The face plates used were different size and color from existing hardware and had to be replaced. In one of the rooms one of the crew said they would have to install the switch on the other side of where the door opens because the existing switch couldn't be tied into. I pointed out (from the black dots on the outlets) that the switch actually controlled a different outlet across the room and they were then able to place the switch in the correct place.
Overall they were friendly and professional but I would not recommend their services in the future due to the poor quality of the work received.

His price was really reasonable and he did the job right.  I would have him back anytime.

Amazing service and I find them very kind and trusting. Hands on. Very professional and detail oriented. Installed outside security light. Also they have installed a breaker box and updated everything to code. Upgraded entire lighting system during the process of refurnishing our basement. They are the most reasonable priced in my area I would recommend them to others.

I got three estimates. The two companies I did NOT select were almost triple the cost and were hard sales on other electrical packages for furnace service, etc. Mr Goodman quoted only what I needed done and did not try to sale me on anything else. He helped me determine placement of the fans and switches. He was on time and the did the job as we agreed/quoted, plus alot of other things that were not quoted. He cleaned up after the work was done. He did a great job from all aspects. I know that everything was done just as I would do it - if I had the knowledge.

They did not do a great job and I do not recommend them. They work was supposed to be finished in three to four days and it ended up taking more than 5 days. They price they charged me was fine.

While the electrical installation went okay, one of the electricians stepped through the ceiling during installation. The subsequent attempt to repair the ceiling was an incredible mess and eventually required hiring a professional dry waller and painter. In addition the electrical work areas were not left as clean as I would have liked. The work initially failed county inspection, although only minor corrections were necessary. The good news is that Joel Goodman is a honorable person and took the price of the repairs off our bill, and did his best to correct the unfortunate accident with the ceiling and quickly responded to the corrections in the inspection report. I would consider Goodman Electric for future jobs, but would also accept other bids.
