If the job is minimal, and not during the busy season, they may do a good job. Otherwise, I, unfortunately, found working with Eddie's to be challenging. Primarily, the lack of communication is overwhelming. This seems to apply to within the company, amongst each other, as well as to me, the customer. * Was told I'd receive a few days notice before their arrival. I was told at 5 p.m. the night before. * No time was given for their arrival - they arrived at 2 p.m., not 8 a.m. * (I was told it would take one day to do the work so I figured they'd arrive bright and early. Instead, they came back the following day and the day after that. * I was never given any communication about the status of the work on Day 2. I arrived home from work on the second day and it looked horrible. It turns out they weren't done but nobody but the crew knew that. The supervisor came out to inspect the work, agreed it didn't look good, and they came out the following day to finish. * The edging that was put down was brought in so I have two hostas that are now outside of the edging instead of inside. * I have dandelion leaves showing through the mulch. * There was an exceptionally stubborn plant that was supposed to be dug up and removed but the person that should have been tasked with the job wasn't present. (I knew it wouldn't be 100% eviscerated but I don't think it was dug out as I was told it would be) * Several plants were clipped by a weedwhacker (or something) and had to be cut back and I hope they just come back for next year. Overall, the more I look at my front flower beds, the more unhappy I am with the work that was done. I would not recommend them for anything other than minor fix-ups.

Used about twice as much mulch as beds needed and charged for it.

After getting the estimate for all three jobs as separate prices, I decided to have all three done at once. As this is the busy season, it took two weeks for the job to be scheduled but it was well worth the wait. Very professional and thorough work. It took all day for the work to be completed and it was excellent quality. Thorough clean up and my yard looks great. I would not hesitate to use Eddie's again for any service they offer.

Excellent hard workers -- they take much pride in a job well done, making sure that the customer is pleased with their work as they progress. Our newly trimmed shrubs look better than they have since we moved here nearly 6 years ago! They also did a great job planting the new shrubs/flowers, edging the bed beautifully as they went. Mulch was neatly placed, definitely not a skimpy job! And the person that trimmed our tree branches along our backyard fence worked hard and continuously during the hot afternoon, checking with me periodically to make sure I was pleased. I can't say a negative about the crew that came to my house -- great group of guys -- polite, respectful, and terrific workers!!!

The result of the project was beautiful on the first day. The edging was nicely done and the mulch that was spread was done very well and spread very evenly. My old stepping stones were cleaned off and reset into the mulched area, giving it a very nice appearance. I did notice that the sod was not so healthy looking. As the days progressed, it got more and more brown despite my consistent watering. I contacted Eddie's about this and he came out to look. By this time, it was looking pretty poor. Eddie did replace it with new, healthy sod. It did well from the time it was put in and now is green and blending in nicely with the rest of the lawn. The new tree that was planted had splotches and torn leaves which I did not understand. Again, Eddie came out and took a look and said that it was windburn from transportation and that eventually it would recover itself. There is a one year warranty on the tree. I will be watching this tree, but I do expect it to recover okay. All in all, I am happy with the suggestions Eddie made and the work that was done, particularly making it right when something doesn't take, as in the case of the sod.

We have hired Eddie's for two different projects recently. In the fall, they aerated and seeded our lawn and of all the estimates, they were by far the least expensive.
This spring we hired them again to redo the landscape in front of our house and install mulch in all of our flower beds. We received several estimates for mulch and again, they were by far the least expensive! After we got our mulch estimate and saw how cheap it was, we decided to get an estimate for landscaping. I was very indecisive on what I wanted and changed my mind several times. They were responsive and kept offering suggestions until I was content with my decision. They performed the work a week later. The landscaping looked great! They edged, applied weed control, installed mulch and removed a few plants and replaced with new ones. They cleaned up very well before they left. Given the quality of work and the price, I would definitely recommend them and plan to use Eddie's for several projects in the future!

I contacted Eddie via the email provided on the list. he responded and we set up a time to come look over the property. The next day I had an estimate and the next week the work was done. Very timely! The work done was great and I had no problems.

Eddie came out to the house, emailed me the bid, and I approved. The whole experience was easy, enjoyable, and on-schedule (the crew missed a day due to rain, but came the next day). The crew did a great job, clean after the job was outstanding, and the yard looks great.

I had 4-landscape companies bid the work. Of the 4, three (3) (except Eddie) said the job would take 3 to 5-cubic yards of top soil. Initially, I thought that was very low but when three landscape companies basically say the same thing, you start to wonder. However, when Eddie came over, I said nothing about the amount of top soil bid by the others and when his bid came in, it was based on 15 yards of top soil. I knew it was more! After all, I have a pretty good eye for measuring things, seeing that I am an Architect.

The best thing about Eddie's bid (and he didn't know i was an Architect when he was bidding ) was it was only $100 above the lowest of the other three bidders....plus Eddie's previous work as shown on Angie's list, had high marks. Hence, I had to give him a try and i am glad i did.

Eddie has a decent size crew and they arrived in 3-dump trucks (all his), and followed up with several more truck loads thereafter. He also brought a pull behind trailer for hauling his yard equipment. The stump was removed using a mini-backhoe (the kind you stand on) and all the top soil was applied in layers using wheelbarrows. The soil was smoothed out nice (just like i would have done) and Eddie even brought more dirt 2-days later when i noticed a low spot that they had missed. After the soil was down, the crew applied a blended grass seed mix ( i hope it matches when it comes in), Penn mulched over the seed, and they plan on coming back in March to apply the starter fertilizer....all for the price of $730. His entire crew were courteous, willing to please and cleaned up after the job was done.

Their landscape guys do a great job and they always come within the time period that they tell me. They don't leave anything behind, they are clean and they do a good job. Eddie is very honest and he always sticks to the estimate. They do show up. I would use them in the future too.
