Last year, Eco Renovations painted my home, and while the initial result looked impressive, the problems started surfacing just a few months later. The paint began bubbling. In June 2024, I reached out to the local Sherman Williams to understand what might have caused the issue. They informed me that bubbling usually results from improper surface preparation, such as inadequate sanding and priming. Eco Renovations sent a painter who addressed the bubbling by popping the bubbles and repainting over the bubbled areas. However, I refused when asked to sign off on the job as complete. Please see before and after photos. Eco Renovations has since blamed the bubbling on the previous paint contractor rather than the lack of their own preparation work. A professional painter should know that proper sanding and priming are essential in painting. Eco Renovations skipped these crucial steps, which they now attribute to residue under the paint. I have also found additional complaints similar to mine on the BBB.org.

"To Pat [Consumer Name Removed] and other readers: It was determined by Sherwin Williams lab analysis that the paint bubbling issue was caused by insufficient cleaning from a previous paint contractor Ms. [Consumer Name Removed] hired before we, Eco Renovations, did any work on the property. The chalking of the siding under the layers of paint the previous contractor applied, we were unaware of when we completed our work on this property. Since we were made aware of the issue we have reached out to Ms. [Consumer Name Removed] and coordinated with Sherwin to repair these bubbles as a kind gesture. All labor and material costs were paid for by Eco and Sherwin at no cost to the client. Ms. [Consumer Name Removed] decided our repair wasnt to her satisfaction and continues to blame us and Sherwin for these issues. Ms. [Consumer Name Removed] has refused to take this review down and is now posting negative reviews on other platforms while neglecting to note the responsibility of the previous contractor. Given that we had no obligation to address the previous contractors lack of cleaning & correct material preparation, we believe we are more than satisfied with our involvement in this project. We felt it was necessary to provide more context for readers so their decisions can be better informed."

The owner stopped by the day after the job was done to see if I was happy with the work. I said yes. He asked if he could walk around. He found some minor defects and brought back the painter to correct.

I hired eco renovation to paint the trim on my home and I am so pleased with the results. They painted my garage door, soffit, shutters, gutters and facia trim. In addition they did extra repairs beyond the original quote at no extra charge. They replaced some wood trim that had water damage and installed a new set of shutters to replace two wood shutters that had been damaged by carpenter bees. Prior to painting, as they power washed the areas to be painted they also cleaned some staining on my fireplace chimney. They took care in preparing the areas to be painted by masking of the adjacent surfaces to prevent any damage from spills or over spray. The crew was terrific taking extra time to be sure the job was to my liking. Would hire them again if a need arises.

Our experience with this company was exceptional. Everyone involved went above and beyond to ensure the exterior painting of our home was what we expected. The estimator came the next day after we contacted this company. He knew what he was doing and answered all our questions. The project manager came speak with us before they started work and showed up each day to see if we were satisfied to and if there were any concerns. The two painters were just the best. They worked steadily and took their time to do the job right. They were always friendly, courteous, and got along well with our dog really well when she had to be let out. We have received nothing but compliments on our nice our home looks. We are recommending Eco Renovations to all our friends, family, and neighbors.

Our job was to paint only the walls in our kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway and spare bedroom. Spare bedroom was a darker gray and the rest of the walls were a light gray. - 8 gallons total. On July 5th, the crew showed up just over an hour late with 3 gallons of the darker gray paint and began cutting in everywhere with the darker gray. I stopped them and told them they were using the wrong color. They went and bought 2 gallons of the correct color, a light gray. At 3:30 they finally had the first coat everywhere. By 4:00, they were done and could not get out quickly enough. Turns out they used only 3 gallons of paint for the entire job. We later learned that you do not use as much paint when you do not allow a first coat of paint to dry before applying a second. We were given an estimate for the complete job which included 2 coats of paint. We talked with the estimator and had their best crew come back on July 9th - more than 2 hours late - and put a real second coat of paint on the light gray walls. They used 2 more gallons - 5 gallons total for the entire job. Got our money back for the 3 gallons that were not used. The first crew was sloppy and to us 3 times!!! THE SECOND CREW WAS VERY GOOD....POLITE AND DID A GREAT JOB. Both the estimator (Dylan) and the supervisor (Luis) said they would fix the paint spots on our trim and stained wood shelves that the first crew left - they did NOT fix it. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND ECO RENOVATIONS, but if you do use them, make sure you know how much paint you are paying for, how much they use, and be sure you have the time and inclination to watch them like it is your job. Also, be certain any errors....paint where it does not belong is removed immediately. Getting ECO RENOVATIONS to fix mistakes is absolutely impossible!!! Keep in mind, ours was a simple job - ECO RENOVATIONS description of the project. My husband did ALL the wall prep and all outlet covers and switchplates were removed and outlets were covered with tape BEFORE they arrived. I had hoped that by completing all this work prior to their arrival, ECO RENOVATIONS would take the time to do a great job on our walls. I WAS SADLY MISTAKEN!!!!!

I wanted to let you know I am giving an unsatisfactory review to Home Advisor based on the outcome of our deck stain project completed by Eco Renovations. As customers, we are thoroughly disappointed. The deck was initially sprayed leaving unsightly areas on deck boards of light and dark patches (We were assured no spraying would be accomplished) The stain was applied the next day to try and cover the uneven blotches...it did not work. We could also see big drips on deck boards from stains from the prior day The project manager was notified and agreed on the deck did not look right...went to consult with another project manager for a resolution The resolution was to apply another layer of stain...stain was/is too thick...sticky in many areas and is now starting to peel in places. I believe 4 applications of stain were applied, but I believe more time should have elapsed between coats. The deck is very shiny which should not happen with stain. I mentioned the sticky and shiny surface when you stopped by to pick up the payment. We found huge drips of stain on the fascia as well The team worked really hard but things went sideways...the deck is terrible at this point. This was a new deck, (11 months) **Note: My husband stained the wrap on the entire deck per estimate. the agreement...there are no blotches...drips or sticky or shine or peeling Our resolution is we will have to sand or strip the deck boards and start over

We are very satisfied with the work that was done by Eco painters. They were very professional cleaned up the work area and review the work in detail for correctness. Their quoted price was reasonable and yet very competitive. The team worked diligently to complete the work in the scope of our agreement while not being afraid to share their professional opinions. I definitely recommend Eco painters for doing a fantastic job.

The quote process was handled well. Unfortunately the quality of the team did not meet my expectations. The attention to detail was poor - missed and uneven coverage, paint overspray on door hinges and floors, poor cut in work, etc. The crew did not use adequate floor Protection and spilled paint on my carpet in two separate rooms. The owner did come to address the issue, but focused hours of work to try to remove the carpet stain which clearly needed professional Treatment. I cannot in good conscience recommend this specific crew. I cannot speak to the quality of the other services this company provides, but cannot recommend them for painting.

This is an excellent company, the estimates are detailed and precise, the painters are superb, especially Franklin, cleanup immaculate. They do use an airless sprayer, so if you want exterior brush or roller painting they are not your company. This company does what it says it promises to do and does it extremely well for the most part. The reason for the 4 rating in customer service is that the company needs to improve in that area. Supply chain issues still exist, our painters spent 3 hours trying to find the paint we requested, arriving at noon instead of 9am. Given those issues and the fact that there is only one project manager for 10 crews, the company needs to provide additional manpower to assist both painters and project manager in securing what's needed and communicating with customers when things go sideways. Did I mention there was no one to answer the main phone number? (employee was on vacation). In fairness, Eco Renovations like other companies is probably experiencing a shortage of workers. That said, our project manager Pablo was able to dispatch the crew to our home within 30min to fix one of the re-installed deadlocks that wasn't functioning properly after the job was finished. Bottom line, we recommend this company and intend to use them again.

Obviously from reading the other reviews, the quality of the job this company performs depends on the crew you get! My interior paint job was a mess. Overspray on door handles, spots missed, the closets were not painted at first, drips, etc. Although issues were addressed, the overall quality of the work was very disappointing! I would not recommend or use this company again! Consumer BEWARE!
