UPDATE (2022): Our first interaction with DryMaxx was last year after a substantial basement flood. Their team was stellar then and have recently reiterated my absolute appreciation for their quality of work and accommodation. We decided to reach out to them on a whim for a complete bathroom remodel. They came in thousands of dollars under our other quotes and still managed to go above and beyond. They helped our vision become a reality with plenty of helpful suggestions and options for us along the way. They stayed on budget and the end result far exceeded our expectations. Not to mention the whole team is not only talented but actually nice to interact with and very attentive. They never got irritated or annoyed at my many, many questions. I cannot recommend them enough for insurance work or regular home renovations. They will always be our first call.

I would highly recommend caution if you are thinking about hiring Drymaxx. We bought a new house and 4 nights later our basement flooded in a big storm. We were unable to find a local company as there was a huge number of people needing service. Drymaxx put together a team to come up from Ohio to Indiana and it seemed like such a blessing at the time. However, their work put us in a potentially terrible situation. Upon arrival the operations director put forth a plan to remove baseboards and drill holes in the drywall to ensure proper dry out. We had pulled up our carpet to collect the padding and Drymaxx did nothing to remediate it besides leaving it rolled up wet and putting a couple blowers on it. Unsurprisingly, it was still wet 4 days later and they told my wife to check with another company to see if it was salvageable. They also did not drill holes in the drywall per their plan. When my wife inquired about it specifically, they assured her it would dry out just fine. After they left my wife was able to find a local company with availability to come in a look at the carpet. They were shocked it was left like that and removed it as it was unsalvageable. They took moisture readings and found a 79% humidity reading in the main room and moisture in the drywall. They had to cut out at least a foot of drywall all around the basement. Once the drywall was off, my wife was able to see visibly wet framing in several areas. Upon contacting the operations director of Drymaxx and sending pictures, he simply expressed surprise the drywall was moist and offered no follow up whatsoever. Then we recieved a bill for $8000 with ridiculous pricing like $1000 for baseboard removal which was a one man job that might take 2-3 hrs at most. The company that cleaned up their mess did a similar amount of work and only charged $2000 for everything. Drymaxx wanted 4 times that even though they did a poor job that could have led to a serious mold problem. I contacted drymaxx several times to work out a solution but the most they would come down was to $5000. Still two and a half times what the other company charged to clean up terrible work. We are contesting the bill and would highly recommend not hiring drymaxx for your project.

"We are sorry to hear that you were less than satisfied with our services. We did our best to work with you to keep a budget in mind as you requested since you opted not to go through your insurance. Because you opted to roll up your carpet and remove your padding for us to haul away, our main focus was to dry out the framing, drywall, and vinyl tile under your carpet. We did put fans on your rolled up carpet in order to help, but the remainder of the 20 fans, 2 dehumidifiers, and air scrubber in your basement were utilized to focus the drying of the structural materials. Upon arrival our plan to drill holes in the drywall behind the baseboards did get modified as the material behind your baseboards was vertical pieces of plywood in place of drywall. After discussing it with your wife and her father on the phone, we decided to remove the plywood to expose the 2”x4” framing in place of drilling holes. Everyone agreed and was on the same page. It has been brought to my attention that a couple of vertical pieces of plywood got over looked which could have left to a little bit of moisture on the wood framing. When equipment was picked up, no elevated moisture was found with our moisture meter in any material other than the carpet. Since all of our equipment was picked up and out of the way, we did unroll the carpet and place your personal fans on top to remove any remaining moisture. None of our billing was inflated whatsoever, all charges are to industry standards using a pricing software that keeps up monthly with current market conditions. The equipment cleaning charges are standard as we clean equipment after every job before taking into another home, the same way we did before bringing equipment into your home. This cleaning includes, but is not limited to, HEPA filter changes and decontamination for covid. As you know, we came to a resolution with you that you were completely satisfied with."

I contracted DryMaxx to do a mold remediation in my home recently. From the very beginning their communication skills were top notch. Charlie came out to do an inspection for me and his knowledge in the matter simply blew away the competition. I received my estimate the same day, and amazingly they were able to start the work the very next day. All in all I would recommend this company to anybody to have work done for them A++
