We have been using Deals Landscaping for several years. They have done a variety of projects for us and they are a great company to work with. They do quality work at a fair price. Jonathan and Joe area very knowledgable and are a pleasure to work with. If you need any kind of landscaping work done I would highly recommend Deals Landscaping.

It was too expensive, but a lot of work that needed done. The landscaping itself was about $2200 but replacing all the pavers was $9800. Very knowledgeable and the quote and information provided was very detailed. He was good. Price is a little high. After they provided the estimate there was not follow up.

Jonathan handled the project from start to finish. He was resposive, dependable, respectful, punctual. He and Matt worked very hard until the job was completed. I am very pleased and proud of my yard, also, the pavers are beautiful, we have gotten a lot of compliments.

Services were delivered according to contracted specifications. Deal's performed all tasks in a timely manner. In 3 specific cases, their recommendations/actions did not pan out.

1) They assured my wife that they would deep-edge the beds to the extent that there would be no necessity for installing bed liners. The edging they did was not sufficient to protect the integrity of our bed spaces.

2) Deal's dramatically under-represented how much mulch would be required to r***** weeds in our flower beds. They didn't provide nearly enough to do the job right. 

3) The fill-dirt used wasn't treated with pesticide. As a result, we have a variety of weeds (even corn stalks) growing in those areas that were not present in our yard prior to the work. 

I am in another state so only saw the photos, but friends thought I had spent much more.

Fertilizer works well.  The corn-based weed control is not as effective as the commercial weed killers, but it also does not poison our pets and wildlife.  Some spot spraying is still necessary.

In our neighborhood, our lawn is the "go to" place for the birds to get worms after a rainfall.  The organic treatments seem to allow natural life to exist.

Mr. Deal arrived at my home on schedule.  We walked around the property and discussed the work to be done.  He said he'd send an estimate and some references by 6 February.  February 6th passed with no response.  So a few days later I contacted them again and as of 18 February, I've received no estimate or a call back.  What started as a promising prospect has ended up a disappointment.
Thinking back on our conversation, Mr. Deal initially seemed reluctant to provide references, claiming customer confidentiality.  He suggested I check out Angie's List instead.  After further discussion he agreed to provide a few references for me to drive by and possibly one I could talk to.  Don't know if he changed his mind or if it influenced his decision not to respond with an estimate.   

He came out and we discussed the retaining wall project I proposed, and everything seemed fine, except for the estimate I had not received yet. I told him of my second project, which was to make a rock garden, and he objected vehemently to the idea of it, based on the inevitable introduction of dirt and dust into the rock that would possibly cause grass to sprout in the future, thereby defeating the very reason for my idea in the first place. I told him that the project wouldn't be done until the fence was installed, which would occur after the retaining wall was built, and that he didn't even have to bid on the yard project if he didn't want too. He promised everything up until he left (brochures for the retaining wall, types of stone, etc.), and won me over with his enthusiasm. He didn't do the measurements at that time though, because of time constraints, but promised them later that day or two days from then which was a Wednesday. I waited weeks for the estimate, and of course he had disregarded me without my knowledge, even though he knew I was waiting for him to submit his estimate. How unprofessional and disrespectful is that!

They were not very good. They were punctual, they did a good job with the work. I would probably not use them again. They trimmed well but they did not come back in the spring or in the summer. I called them and they said they would come and look at it but they did not come back. When i expressed my concerns, it took 5-7 phone calls to get to them. It has taken about 4 month now and the bush has grown.

We are very pleased with job! Would definitely recommend them.

They came out and were on time. However, I felt like I was treated like a dummy for the things I was wanting done. I do beleive that I shocked the guy when he realized that I had done my research and knew what I was talking about. He said he would give me a quote on doing only half my yard (I wanted the whole thing done). Somehow I just knew that I wouldn't hear back from him and I didn't. Never received a quote. Someone else did the work I asked for without even second guessing me.
The work I wanted done was to have all the over grown weeds taken out, the thistles in the yard taken care of, and the dead landscaping gone. I don't think that makes me sound like a crazy person...

great service will use again.........

My yard went through a lot of changes five years ago--another provider took out beds, put in sod some places. But grass wasn't growing that well.
With servicing that Deal's has done in past four years, the lawn is recovering. I don't like to use a lot of chemicals, so my lawn doesn't look like a golf course green, but I'm happy with how it is coming along.
Deal's are very considerate and responsible. And they have always been very helpful when I've dropped in for some advice or to buy mulch or soil.

John came back out with Matt the following Monday to go over everything that needed to be done. We soon received our quote along with a drawing of what the sidewalk would look like. John called us when he put the quote in the mail, just to let us know it was coming.
The price was about $1400 less than another quote we had recevied and John's design was going to be much more labor intensive and require more materials. We went by the office to select a color and they were going to be able to begin work in about 2 weeks.

The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day. They were finished within 5 business days. It was beautifully done.
