Dayton Door is a definite YES, for repair work or new doors! I called Dayton Door sales for work on my garage door opener and other door problems the door was having. Nick was the services representative that they sent out. He was polite, very professional, and established a sense of trust right away. And most of all he recognize the problems with my garage door and the best way to resolve them. I will not hesitate to call Dayton Door for any of my future needs and will recommend them to my neighbors.

Great customer service, excellent choices of products. Even better was the installation by experienced installers. They did a great job, the doors are much heavier and of a higher quality than from a big box store, more soundproof, and look incredible!

GREAT! The garage door wouldn't raise more than 5", via opener. Called when they opened. They added me to the schedule for TODAY. They don't make appointments, per se, but rather they call you 30 minutes before expected arrival. I received my call and tech was on time. Initial diagnosis made. (Broken spring) . Gave me the option to replace one or both. I chose both. Work was efficiently done. Very happy with service, Very happy with courteous tech.

We have a beautiful, energy-efficient door that was installed with great care. Two workers took 6 hours installing the door. It looks perfect. Very well sealed, airtight, all trim work done very well. I’ve never seen a more careful job on a home project. I’d recommend them, and the door manufacturer, to anyone.

I don't ever fill these things out. But I am AMAZED at the service we received today. From the time I damaged the door and called, we we had a repair person onsite and everything looking amazingly like new in just about an hour total. I backed into this thing, knocked it off the track - I had pieces of the wheel assembly laying in the driveway! - and Bill wasted no time, got down to business and, like a wizard, somehow had us not only repaired but flawlessly so and left us fine-tuned. I am thrilled that we weren't bilked for a brand-new door because I would have had no choice. The fee was more than reasonable for same-day service with results this amazing. I also want to recognize Bill for being timely, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly - he saved me thousands as far as I am concerned. And, best of all, he didn't make me feel like an idiot for backing into the garage door (he probably knew my wife and kids will have that covered). I'll tell anyone who asks - and several who don't - that Dayton Door Sales is spectacular. Many, many thanks.

I know I was supposed to put much of what I wrote above in this blank, but it's been quite a while since I've written a review, and I forgot. All I can say is that if and when I need another door, I'm calling this company. And since I paid the bulk of the cost for the door several months ago when I purchased it, I don't remember exactly what the price was. The door was unusually expensive because I live in an old suburb where the houses date back to the 1920s and, as this company explained to me early on (and as I've heard from many others who live here), our front and other doors were designed when the standard sizes of home doors were 2 to 4 inches smaller than the doors that are standard no, so they cost more.

Garage door opener is loud and shakes/vibrates so that you can feel and hear it in the room above the garage. Garage door will occasionally stop when closing, moving back into a fully open position. Almost as if something has triggered one of the sensors or safety precautions.
Owner received call notifying of pending arrival time. Two technicians performed general maintenance to the system. They were able to quiet the mechanical system somewhat and provided tips on how to keep system from getting louder. Technician explained that due to age of system, this is normal. Technician explained the cause for the door stopping and reversing when owner attempts to close is likely due to sunlight hitting the old sensors. Technicians cleaned sensors as part of maintenance.
Technician explained system will need replaced in near future. He explained options to owner (replace now or wait until current one dies) and gave recommendations on type of system to replace it with.
Will likely use them again.

Requested service via web on Sunday afternoon and the work was complete before 10:30 AM Monday. I inquired about a new opener as I was concerned that the one installed in 2003 should be replaced. They inspected the current opener and said there was no need to replace it at this time. It was refreshing to have a company tell me what I have is fine and not try to sell an unneeded replacement.

The original entrance-way was two solid steel doors with no glass. With about a 1/4 inch gap between them towards the bottom. Great doors if you are allergic to light, people, and have no interest in keeping AC in or winter out...  It made the whole entrance-way dark and uninviting. Replaced with Thermatru fiberglass door and full sidelights. Dayton Door Sales provided a full line of Thermatru and Provia doors systems. Their pricing for most lines was a bit higher than others, but their track record on Angie's list, BBB, and length of existence indicated to me they were better installers. The salesman I worked with was excellent and catered to my numerous emails very quickly. Once ordered the doors came in at least a month earlier than I expected and were installed in November rather than December and January all without me pushing for it. In time for my annual New Year's party. Installers were on time, personable, and explained things as I hovered around watching them. I'm not an expert, but I did not see any of the most common cost cutting installation practices I had learned to watch for in researching for this project. Door and sidelights looked great and no mess, just need to wipe down the glass.
Also, had them install a door + storm door and french doors in another home for about $2500. These were very basic fiberglass doors systems. Again, price was a bit higher than other places or the Lowes contractors. Installation was quick and easy which was a big deal as these went into my 80 year old grandmother's house. The less time strangers were traipsing around her living room the happy she was. We are having them out to install two more doors this summer.
This is a review of Dayton Door Sales and not the Thermatru door systems installed. Obviously, Dayton Door Sales is only responsible for the installation, price, and service for the door system.

An appointment was made for between 1 and 5 PM. Was called at work at noon and told that if I wasn't home in 30 minutes, my work would have to be rescheduled for another day. I got home in time but garage door did not malfunction at first. The serviceman said he couldn't help me - that my account of the door starting down and then going back up was insufficient to determine what was wrong. Said he had checked everything and the door was operating properly. He tried the door one more time before leaving and it stopped part way down and then started back up. He replaced the capacitor and tested the door. Three weeks later, the door began having the same problem. I will hire someone else to fix it this time. I had this same company fix a problem with the door a year ago; that serviceman was very professional & identified the problem rapidly. I do not want this year's serviceman on my property again; I do not trust that he knew what he was talking about.

I was satisfied with the ACTUAL work that was done by the technician.  My problem with this experience was it has taken a couple of months to get the ACTUAL work completed.  Once everything was ordered correctly and the communication between management, sales and technicians were resolved, the job took about 45 minutes.
Technician came out, told me he does not have this particular spring on the truck and would have to order the spring and come back out.  He put a clamp on the existing broken spring to tide us over until they came back.  There was a $49 trip charge that he said he was not going to collect until he came back out to finish the job.  I never received a follow up call to schedule them coming back out to finish the job.
I decided I was going to call another garage door company, but I forgot which company I was having the issue with, so I called Dayton Garage Door again.  The tech came out, laughed and said wasn't I out here before?  So, the same this happened, he said I'll have to order the spring (I thought they did that last time) and get back to me.  Next I heard from a salesman to talk to me about new garage doors, and I was curious about the cost as ours is getting a little long in the tooth.  After that call, nothing, never heard from them again.
Then an invoice for $94 shows up in the mail claiming to cover the two trip charges.  I was furious and call Dayton Door Sales immediately.  From that point, management was placing the blame on ME when it was so clearly an internal communications issue.  I told him, just order the part, get your tech out here and finish the job.
The job was finished today and when the tech handed me the invoice it was $100 for the part and labor and $94 without explanation.
After a few attempts at contacting management I did finally speak to someone who took care of the billing issue.
In the end there was a series of internal mis-communications and assumptions that snowballed into this mess.  It's been resolved and I'm happy with their work.
