Dino is a perfectionist. He takes pride in his work and in how he works. You aren't going to spend hours cleaning up after him. He works many jobs alone but also can pull in help as needed. On this job, he did all the work himself. The work was done in phases because once the windows were taken out, another firm did the glasswork which took several weeks.
Dino's patch job where the four windows were removed looks great! Even though the garage is older (and thus used older gauge board) he did a beautiful job matching with the wood siding. The door, frame and lintel were in awful condition. He picked out a door for us which would provide good security, reframed the door and fixed the lintel. (If you don't really know what you need, talk it over with him - he has really good suggestions and will do the shopping if you want.) The three back windows were reset very nicely and the double LED security light has really improved visibility in the alley. Initially, he installed the timer and left the directions so we could set as we wanted. Unfortunately, the timer was defective. He came back and replaced the timer and made sure that it was programmed before he left. He stands behind his work.
We have had Dino provide bids on some jobs, but frankly, we know he will treat us fairly so don't always bother anymore. His hourly rate is very fair. The $2200 includes the cost of materials in addition to labor. He has done several larger jobs for us but the fact that he will also take on a smaller job has been a life-saver for us.
Mom and I would recommend Dino to anyone - and have! One last comment . . . we have both run into contractors who assume that if you are a woman, then you don't know anything. We don't use those contractors twice.
