We contracted with Craftsmen in January 2021 to remodel my wife's bathroom (with an estimated start date 16-18 weeks out)--removing the bulkhead/soffit over the tub, installing backerboard, tiling the entire tub surround, installing all new tub/shower hardware/fittings and shelving/towel rack, a new vent fan, and replacing the old hollow door with a six-panel door. [We've used Craftsmen a couple other times in the past: once about six years ago to remodel our entire kitchen (excellent job) and again a couple years ago to completely remodel our master bath (another excellent job).] Craftsmen called a week or so ago and told us they had an opening and asked if they could start sooner than projected. We said "yes", and they had their highly competent 3-man crew (Micah/Team Leader, Isaac & Marcus) start the work the following week (March 29). Our salesman/Kevin came out with the crew on Day 1 to make sure everyone (including us) was on the same page for the work to be done. The Craftsmen crew were very personable and professional. They kept us in the loop every step of the way as the renovation went on. A Craftsmen supervisor/Ron came out midway through the work to make sure everything was going as planned. Micah even went above and beyond: when routing the new vent fan exhaust to the roof, he noticed pooling water in the attic insulation. [We'd had our roof replaced about 9 years ago (one year within the warranty) and, apparently, there'd been some leakage.] He took pictures and we contacted the roofing company to come and make repairs (pending). I imagine most other companies would've ignored the problem and just moved on with their contracted task at hand. The crew finished up in five days (within the projected timeframe) and did a superb job. My wife is completely thrilled with the result. All that's left is for us (her) to pick out a wall color and paint. We highly recommend Craftsmen Home Improvements. From our multiple experiences with them, they're work is exceptional and reasonably priced

I expended a lot of time getting and evaluating 4 quotes. I ultimately chose the more expensive Craftsman after reading their reviews on Yelp, Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. This decision was based on their proven record of customer satisfaction and the assurance that I would receive quality work by extremely experienced subcontractors resulting in less frustration and delays, along with a speedy two week turnaround. This was NOT, however, the case. This installation has been riddled with delay after delay and mistake after mistake. Some were manufacturer defects and some were subcontractor created problems. We were on contract for a two week renovation, however, these delays led to a nine week turnaround for project completion of our master bath! Granted one delay took a week and a half with the counter tops being drastically different from the matching bench. Craftsman went to bat with the supplier over this and I received different counters/bench that were substantially more satisfactory. While in the end, I did wind up with a pretty bathroom, getting there was VERY stressful and not worth the money I paid for what should have been a much smoother process. In specific, the WORST part was yet to come at the final inspection when the General Manager arrived. We were discussing the job and problems in hopes of receiving a price reduction resolution for all our trouble and remaining deficiencies. This man became agitated and defensive to the point of screaming and yelling at us in our bathroom! He claimed all of the problems we had to deal with were either Manufacturers errors, supplier errors or HUMAN errors ~ Never craftsmen. He was out of control and extremely unprofessional. He was a bully. In his anger, he even threatened to put a lien on our house before we could reach an agreement! Dealing with this level of hostility was hardly worth the hard-earned price reduction of $500 I finally received on this expensive $23,579 project for all our trouble and displacement. BEWARE of this company. A lot of headaches and excuses. I would NOT recommend them.

We had a great experience with Doug. He was very good at helping us pick out what we wanted for our kitchen within our budget and willing to work with us. The only downside was that they do not paint - so if you do a remodeling project with them you have to get a painter on the side or paint yourself. Our bad experience was with the guy assigned to our project. Every single day there was some issue, whether it be that the cabinets didn't fit well, that he couldn't do our design on the back splash, that he had to cut back on this, that or the other, that the electrical work was too hard, etc. He also tended to complain about other customers to us, and we wondered if he also complained about us to the next set of clients. The worst part was one day when he flat-out told me that he doesn't have any pride in what he does, which really made me question the quality of his work. Doug and his construction supervisor were aware of the issues we had with the installer, and they did the impossible to make it right. They came and saw some of the poor quality of the work and fixed it, making sure it was done to our standards and that we were happy. At the end of the day, we had a beautiful kitchen that we enjoyed and we would never have an issue hiring Craftsmen again - as long as we get a different installer to do the work.

This was my first experience with a remodel of this extent, and it couldn't have gone smoother. I chose this company based on a friend's experience and from seeing their work at a home show earlier in the year. The work involved: removing a large Jacuzzi tub, replacing it with a smaller one; removing a very small shower, replacing it with one twice the size; removing all cabinetry, replacing it with taller cabinets with a quartz countertop and new sinks and fixtures; replacing all tile; reworking a small amount of plumbing, replacing the toilet; replacing carpet with ceramic floor tile, replacing light fixtures. The room remained the same size but everything in it was replaced. Kevin gave me excellent guidance in establishing the design of the room and in selecting all of the materials. Having a showroom available was very helpful in envisioning what the end result could look like. The contract clearly listed all of Craftsmen's responsibilities as well as mine. Kevin kept me apprised of when the work could start and always answered my questions promptly. The construction crew consisted of Rick and Troy, who were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Once the work started, they were dedicated for the two weeks it took to complete the job. They were here promptly every day. They were extremely hard workers and always cleaned up at the end of day. They gave me great guidance on various aspects of the project. They always consulted with me before installing various elements of the remodel so that there was no confusion or mistakes. The beautiful outcome is a direct result of their efforts. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone considering a remodel of this type.

Chris Gray and his crew enlarged the shower, tiled the walls and floor of the shower, installed new faucets and drain, hung a barn door style shower door, tilled the floor in a herring bone pattern with a border. New sink and removed the pop corn style ceiling.  Also, installed new lighting and wainscotting.  The wainscotting was constructed in a way that one cannot even see the seams where sections adjoin.  They leveled the floor prior to laying the tile, to the point of making sure that the border tile, which was thicker than the herring bone tile, was completely level.
Chris and his crew were not just installers, they are craftsmen in the true sense of the word.  Artists!

The start was delayed by more than a month. Work progressed well once started.  cabinets were not to be done, but they damaged a cabinet.  They repaired the cabinet, but it took several iterations to look right.  The flooring person came to lay the flooring (vinyl).  The person discovered floor damage that he was not experienced at all or prepared to fix. He began to fix it but it was clear he was inept.  I then repaired the damage myself.  He then installed the sheet flooring but again he was inept at doing a seam.  He did not weight it down well.  It soon popped open, the sheet flooring started to wear at the high points.  We called Craftsman again and they sent out the same guy.  Again he sealed the seam, but it is not very good.

From start to finish we were kept in the loop from scheduling to start our job all the way thru to check pickup once the work was done. They were very professional and explained all our options along the way.

Overall pretty well, some minor hiccups. The job was completed in several stages due to all of the contractors schedules.

The staff was very nice and polite. The salesman was not pushy about signing me up that day like others that I called were. He also explained everything in as much detail as I needed. The technicians that came out were very neat and the installation looks great. The only thing I would say that went wrong was that the mudding for the walls took a little longer than estimated because it was having difficulty drying for some reason. So installation didn't take 3 days but maybe 4 working days (which spanned over a weekend). But I don't think that's anything that was their fault. I am going to use them again when I do my other bathroom.

We completed our demo & prep work on Jan 15--and had previously arranged with Kevin to have the cabinets delivered on Jan 19  The installers (a subcontractor named VIAGROUP) arrived with the cabinets bright & early on the 19th (a Monday) and were done that Friday (the 23rd).   VIAGROUP (a father & son team of professional handymen) out of Camden, OH did an absolutely fantastic job.  They were both extremely professional, punctual, highly organized, and very meticulous.  On top of that, they were very personable, considerate, and eager to answer any questions we had as the work progressed.

We had one minor problem after the cabinet work was completed and we tried to move our refrigerator into the space allotted for it.  Our fridge was slightly bowed out on the sides and exceeded the tolerances allowed for it by about 3/8 inch.   We notified Kevin right away and, within a day or two, VIAGROUP came back and reconfigured the corner cabinet spacers to provide enough room for the fridge.  Fits great now!

We also had dents and dings and chipped paint in some of the cabinet doors (a factory issue; not Craftsmen or VIAGROUP).  We notified Kevin and he contacted the cabinet maker who sent out a factory rep right away.  The factory rep agreed to have the doors repaired/refinished as needed.   Within a few days, a Professional Furniture Service (Amelia, OH) technician came to examine the cabinets.  He made minor repairs to several of the cabinets on-site, but had to take some of the doors back to the shop to properly redo the paint job.   He brought the doors back, after about two weeks, on Feb 27 and reinstalled them.  They look great!

Throughout these very minor "setbacks", Kevin was very responsive and kept us informed every step of the way.  We love our new cabinets!

We love our new quartz countertops as well!  Craftsmen's subcontractor/Mark Boeckman delivered and installed about 30 feet of countertops (along with our new sink) within a couple of hours.   They fit perfectly against the walls and the corner seams are virtually invisible.

Craftsmen Home Improvements is aptly named.  They and their subcontractors are true craftsmen and experts in their respective fields.  And Kevin was highly professional, personable, and very responsive to any of our questions or concerns.  He oversaw the entire project to a very successful conclusion.   My wife & I would definitely Craftsmen Home Improvements for any home improvement project.

Although the cost of our project turned out to be more than we had wanted to spend, we went with Craftsmen because they had the cabinetry we wanted, and they promised about 1 month of construction mess versus 2 months with Lowes.  Also, we liked the fact that the same crew would be working with us the for the whole time.

Everything went as planned.  Pete was very good helping us choose different parts of the project. He knows his business and was very easy to work with.  He always returned our phone calls promptly.

Jim, Dan, and Ty were the crew who worked with us and all were very hard workers who showed up on time everyday. They did everything, the demolition, the plumbing, electrical work, tiling.

They were finished in the month that was promised and we are very happy with the work they did for us.

My first contact at Craftsmen was Hank Adler.  He came to my home to discuss the remodeling when I was obtaining estimates.  Craftsmen was pretty much in line with the other companies I received estimates from as far as price, but they did give me a significant discount for paying cash and their price for my windows was much better than the other companies for the same quality window which included marble sills that the other companies did not have. Hank was involved and available from the beginning of the construction to the end and made sure we were satisfied with how things were going and with the finished product.  Hank gave me his cell phone number and told me to feel free to call anytime I had questions.
Hank was a wealth of information and very patient with all my questions.  He explained everything in great detail about choices of materials and the differences in products and the entire construction process.  Craftsmen's show room was really helpful because I could see how the products would actually look.  The choice of products was excellent too.  The timeline I was given by Craftsmen was very accurate.
Danny was the lead construction person in my home and Tyler was his assistant.  Danny  always arrived when he said he would and finished each day when he said he would.  Danny and Tyler cleaned up each day before they left and were very respectful of our home.  I will say that there is no way to completely eliminate the construction dust (expecially drywall dust)  until the project is completed.  I really appreciated that Danny told me at the end of each day what the plan was for the next day so I could be prepared and plan my day.  Danny also gave me advanced notice when he needed to turn the water off and worked around my schedule.  Danny's work was meticulous and very detailed. He really is a skilled craftsmen.
I am really pleased with the way our home looks. I feel like I have a new house.  The quality of work is excellent.
