Troy was very thorough and accurate on the price quote and stayed within the quoted price. New shingles, wood and labor were all included.

He fixed the siding as requested. I was pleased with his serviced.

They were here on time. There was a full crew. Each person has a specific task to do. They got here at a quarter till 8 on a Saturday morning. They were done by 10. The yard was left in good condition. The owner has called and followed up. I was happy with everything. They were very professional.

I had several companies quote the roof, and Troy's quote was right in line with most of the others. He was there on time to quote it. Some companies didn't even make it there to quote in the same day as it was sceduled. I took some time comparing all the quotes and it ended up being several weeks before I made a decision. I called Troy to schedule the time to perform the work, and I was very surprised to hear that he would be able to have the job completed the very next day. His crew showed up the next morning on time, and had the entire job completed before dark. The roof looks excellent. It has been raining here for almost a week straight and no issues at all. During the installation they found that my dryer was only vented to the attic which did 2 things. The moisture rotted the wood prematurely, and years worth of lint had built up in my attic. Troy called and asked if I could make it home so he could explain the problem and decide what I wanted him to do. He ended up running a vent through the roof and putting on the hardware to prevent things from going down it. I would recommend Academy Improvements for all your roofing needs. This is the 1st roof I have had to have installed, and it is amazing how much better it improves the curb appeal along with the functionality of your roof. After the crew left, there was no trash or nails left anywhere...you couldn't even tell they had been there. It has been a couple months now, and I have not found a single nail in the yard or driveway. 100% pleased with the customer service, time management, and quality of the work done by Academy Improvements.

So far since we chose Troy of Academy Improvements as the contractor to get the repair work done on our hail damaged home from the May hail storm, he's been great! He's spent many hours and gallons of gas trying to work with our insurance company to get them to give us the money to fix our roof, siding, gutters, downspouts and fascia and paint the walls in some of rooms interior of our home. He's very personable and has been very patient and professional with all the demands placed on him by our insurance company. We called him on a friend's recommendation in June and he came out to give us an idea of the scope of what the insurance should have covered when they sent out the first adjuster. He then gave us his written estimate after we decided he was the one we wanted to work with. Then he was here when the second adjuster came out and explained to her how some things happened because of the scope of the storm in this area and convinced her that some things should be covered. We have viewed other examples of his work and are very impressed and excited about having him complete all of the job.

On 8/16/2011, Troy's roofers came and replaced our roof. The job they did on our roof was so much better than the one we had done 3 years ago after Hurricane Ike! His roofers pay attention to details such as how they cut the shingles over the drip edge and they paint the vent tubes the color of the shingles (ours are green!). The ridge vent is now the one that should be on our house to make the attic vent properly. They keep the premises clean while they work and clean as thoroughly as they can before they leave (no roofing bags blowing around the yard/neighborhood, no nails for you or your pet to step on in the yard or you or your neighbors to run over in the street ). Troy kept us updated by phone and later on in person on what they found as well throughout the process. If a quality job is what you are looking for-he is definitely the one to choose!
