AAA Tree & Landscaping LLC

I'm flabbergasted about how a company that treats their customers as we've been treated is able to stay in business. We got an estimate in July for a tree removal. Called to give the go ahead 2 days later, and they said they were scheduling ~ 3 weeks out. I didn't hear from Tom at all until early September, when he called to say they'd be coming the next day. They no-showed and I heard nothing from Tom. I called a week later to see what was going on, and he said he'd be able to get it done the next week. Sounded good. Left a message Tuesday that the job could get done Wednesday. Again, sounded good. Did I want the work done? Yes- and I had been very patient. It is now late September. The crew show us, and without introducing himself, the tree climber (who I now know is Don) approached me and started berating me, saying that it wasn't safe to be working that day because it was "raining" (it was in fact not raining at all, but did drizzle later in the day), and that they only reason they were there was because *I* forced them to be there. He was obvious furious, picked up his chainsaw, and jumped in to the bucket. No one bothered to say a single pleasant thing, to introduce themselves, or even to confirm which tree they were cutting down. I was really take aback by this, as was my husband who had been just a few steps away. To be honest, I'm not okay with chainsaw-wielding a******* coming at me on my property and wanted them gone. I immediately called Tom and told him he needed to call me back and stop work until this was resolved. He ignored multiple calls, voicemails, and texts. I repeatedly said I wanted the work to stop. I did not feel comfortable confronting this furious man myself. When we finally got him on the phone, he insisted there was no way for him to contact his crew. Apparently Don does this to customers on the regular (like 10 times before???) and Tom had done nothing. He offered nothing to make it right. They completed the word despite us repeatedly asking them to leave. Tom was totally unreachable, and appears to be totally delusional about how to run a business. Treating customers like crap is just not okay. Do better, Tom.

AAA did a fantastic job removing the tree and stump. They showed up on time for the initial consult and the service and were very professional. We couldn’t even tell they were there. Very clean & considerate.

he came on time - ground out roots and left a huge pile - he had 2 trash cans in back of truck that I assumed would be used to take the ground up root pile away - when I noticed he was leaving I asked if he was going to clean up - he said no - he had 5 other jobs that day & his boss had just told him about roots.

They did an ok job. I was disappointed after they were done because they left my yard a mess. There were holes in my yard from their equipment and their bucket truck leaked some Fluid on my lawn and killed the grass. Be careful with these guys. They put disclosures on their estimates releasing them from any damage to your yard or driveway.

The crew sent out to work was very professional along with fast and moved like a well oiled machine. I was also please with the level of care they treated my property and the way they left it was exceptionally clean. I highly recommend Tom and AAA. Also them being insured and had all the bells and whistles as in equipment was fun to watch. Sometimes it's best to work smarter then harder.

Scheduling was an issue. I think we were forgotten until I called to check in. There was also some confusion about stump removal that we got resolved. Overall, the crew professionally did what was expected and cleaned up the yard nicely.

Highest praise for this crew.  Had three bids and AAA was most competitive and competent in the the sale of their services.  Crew showed up on time and was like watching a finely tuned orchestra.  Although they stated they were down 2 guys for this job due to vacations and time off, operation went down like clockwork.  7 trees for $3200, 5 of which had to be taken down carefully between houses....Paid these guys $3400 to recognize there exemplary work and attention to detail.  Call AAA Tree Service if you want it done, right, on time, and attention to detail.

The Owner Tom called the day before to notify me that they would be out to perform the tree services.  They arrived the next day on time as scheduled.  The crew performed the services professionally and efficiently and cleaned up neat as a pin!  They cleaned up the leaves in the front and side yard!  The crew did a great job.

So VERY HAPPY with this company!!!
They showed up 15 minutes early, introduced themselves, explained their process and got to

work. They completed the work quickly and safely.  They also cleaned up more than I expected. 
I would absolutely  have this company do more work for me and I have already recommended them to several of my neighbors.

The trees were infested by Ash tree borer. One tree was double the size of the other two. AAA had proper equipment and manpower to do the job in timely manner. If I recall correctly, they had a tree crane, couple of trucks and five to six people. It took them about five hours to finish the job. Their team supervisor was courteous and nice to deal with. I recommend them highly.

Service went smoothly.  The crew worked as a well oiled machine.  Total time spent on property was about 3 hours.  No damage to other trees nor to house.  All debris we picked up and removed promptly.  I had NO followup cleanup work to do!

Great communication, prompt service, good large crew, professional job.  I used AAA three times in the past few years and they never disappoint.  They went the extra mile and took on extra unexpected work and got the job done and got it done quick before bad weather rolled in.  I plan to call on them again next time I need tough trimming on tall trees.

They were very responsive in coming out to provide a quote.  They were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process.  Work was done well with excellent clean up of the yard afterwards.  We were very pleased and would definitely use them again for future work!

I was extremely impressed.   It only took the crew about an hour from start to finish.  The crew appeared to work very well together and kept moving.  The crew was courteous.  The foreman was very informative and made sure all work was done to my satisfaction before the crew left.  When they left they left the area spotless.  You wouldn't know they were there except for I had one less tree.  Overall very impressed.

Everything is exactly the same. They were extremely professional and on time.

They were fabulous. They have qualified arborist who truly knows what he is doing. The whole crew was very professional, very on time and very polite.

I actually hired AAA Tree Service twice. I'm new to Dayton and bought a house that needs a lot of yard work.
Phase 1 was removing 3 trees, several stumps and trimming several trees. The price was high, but they did a good job.
About 3 weeks later they came back and did phase 2. It involved spreading about 17 yards of fill dirt and some top soil in my back yard.  I was less happy with this job, mostly the price, but it was done before the company came to install my fence and it looks good.

AAA tree service removed a very large tree in backyard for reasonable price as well as bushes and two smaller trees in front. Removal of phone and cable lines as well as power line were necessary to remove tree and I was told they would reconnect cable and tie phone line to pole. The job took longer than anticipated so owner came out to finish job. Several things made me uncomfortable about the service.

1. Foreman of job was rude and unprofessional, came to job with bad attitude and yelling at someone on his phone for the first 10 minutes in my yard, then walked across the street and yelled more! Neighbors heard him. Foreman yelled at me at the end of  the day because I was told by another worker it was about to contact utility company to reconnect the line. I was spoken to horribly by the foreman who stated "I'm done, I'm out of here, why does he want to talk to me" over and over again . I assume the foreman then contacted the owner.  Owner justified foreman as being tired and informed me it was not my place to contact utility company, and I needed to be patient about reconnecting electric. He did not listen to what I was saying.

2. Due to running out of time and daylight sawdust was covering the garage roof which is fairly new. It was left that way as the owner did not bring a blower with him.

3. Was initially told the fence would be put back but again since job went over it was not.

4. The line for cable was left on the ground as was the phone line. Owner stated job was quoted for one day they went over so nothing more could be done.

   Neighbors helped put up fence, swept off garage roof and put up my cable line.   Phone line is still hanging on fence.

   My husband passed away recently so I have not had to deal with contractors before, this is not what I expected from a company like this with good reviews. Trees were removed safely and fast .Communication and customer service was poor and unprofessional. Clean up was half done. Never hire again, never recommend.
