I contracted with A to Z Asphalt in April 2012. The work was
accomplished on April 19, 2012. I paid for the job without checking the work
first. My fault. It should be noted that this driveway is about 1300 feet in
length and rises 100 feet from the bottom to the top. The drive was last paved
in June of 1996.

When I drove down the next day I noticed what I thought was
a problem in a curve at the bottom of the drive. I emailed the Company of this
and they asked me to send them a Photo with my cell phone. I don?t have a cell
phone. We exchanged several messages and then I was told that a representative
of the Company had stopped to examine the drive and that there was no problem.
They did not tell me they were going to do that and they did not talk to me while
they were here. They left marks to show what they checked. They were in the
wrong place. Since I had already paid them I had no leverage.

Some weeks ago I noticed that ridges were appearing across
the drive in several locations. They are quite noticeable when I drive across
them. There are 4 to 7 of these ridges in each location. It is like driving
over a washboard or rumble strips. I also noticed asphalt was breaking at the
edge of the drive at the bottom of the hill.

I informed the Company and after the exchange of several
emails they sent a representative to look at the situation. He did not
introduce himself so I can?t name him. He looked at the breaks and said, ?You
have been driving on this area and that is why it is breaking.? Well yes I
have. It?s a driveway. When he looked at the ridges he said it was from tree
roots. After I pointed out that there were no trees there and that tree roots
do not normally parallel each other he changed his story and said, ?That was
caused when our roller stopped.? Lets go with that. First the rollers used were
not wide enough to span the entire drive, and if they were they should leave
depressions, not raised ridges. And if that is the case it is a sign of poor
workmanship.

I will not use this Company again and I will not recommend
them to anyone. If you use them be careful.

A TO Z WAS IN AND OUT OF HERE IN LESS THAN ONE DAY, AND MY HUSBAND WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY THAT. WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT A PAVING COMPANY? I GUESS THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK.
