Neal Mahoney, owner of Cloverleaf Drywall was referred to me. I set up an appointment on 8/20, he came to my house to review the job. He gave me a quote on the spot and I verbally accepted and he scheduled me for Monday morning 8/26.. The next day 8/21, he asked for my email and sent me a summary of the verbal quote. NO WHERE did the email require me to respond. Friday morning 8/23 at 10:29am, I emailed Neal to see how to get him the 50% down payment. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM. I texted Neal Sunday night, 8/25 asking what time I should expect him. No response until Monday morning at 8:44am. His responded a snarky message saying I did not confirm, which is NOT true. I confirmed verbally and emailed him THREE full days before the start date. I sent him a screen shot of the email I sent him, and he said, "I don't wok this way". Baffled, I suggested he check his spam folder and asked why he didn't respond to me Sunday night. He completely avoided ALL my questions and kept blaming me. I finally said, why can't you just admit you made a mistake and apologize, to which he said I have mental health issues and I am anal. Then he made a menacing comment, "You want an apology? Come get it!" My advice, AVOID, there was no reason for the unprofessional and threatening text.

I was left with an unfinished hole in my ceiling (see photo). Contractor did not want to seal up until wire was moved away from hole. After the wire was moved by my electrician, he showed no interest in returning to finish the job. He was already paid in full. My phone calls and texts were not returned. I waited several months. At this point, I give up. My kitchen is beautifully remodeled except for the hole in the ceiling. I live in a safe neighborhood and have a clean home. I even offered to pay for the return trip repair cost. I don’t do online reviews, but people should know about the potential for unfinished work and lack of responsiveness.

"Well, there is the truth, and your version of the truth. Ask yourself and the Angies list customers ... Why would the contractor leave a hole, in a brand new ceiling? Why would the client pay the contractor in full, he was not happy with the work? Did the contractor walk the client through the job, and supply the electrician? Did the contractor give the home owner a list of what items needed to be completed, IN A STEP BY STEP ORDER? The answer is yes to all of the above. My work was completed, and the client paid the invoice in full, because he was happy with the work completed. The electrician either came back, or the home owner made adjustments, after the work was completed."

Difficult to get a hold of. When Mr. Mahoney finally came to give me an estimate, he told me that he would send me the estimate, which he never did. After numerous text messages, e-mails and phone-calls, he has ignored all of them and I have not heard from him.

The drywall and plaster job went great. Neal and his team member(s) are very professional and get the job done in a very timely fashion. I initially asked Neal to do just the drywall and plaster repairs in a rental unit I am working on in Cleveland, Ohio. Turns out, he is proficient in many other areas as well. I will definitely be continuing business with Cloverleaf and would recommend them to anyone looking!

He came to my house to give me an estimate and he said he would get back to me but he never did, I left him 2 messages but he never called me back to give me a quote. I wish he would have just told me that he didn't want to do the job.

"I didn't want to embarrass you in person or over the phone. But not that you have called me out online. Your house is disgusting. During my walk through I saw at least 1 mouse, and multiple roaches. Ide be happy to post the photos of the hoarder like situation ide have to work in. Small lanes between piles of garbage, food, furniture, and some items I could not identify. I cant take a chance moving bugs or rodents from one location to another (other jobs) or even taking bugs to my own home. I have the photos I took. Ide be happy to post them . But I'll leave that up to you. Good day"

Neal told me he would come out at a specific time on a specific day. When he didn’t show up and I asked him about it, he was incredibly rude and told me to “hire another contractor.” I will in fact hire another contractor and an honest one at that! I suggest you do the same.

"I did come out for the quote. Perhaps you got the contractors you called mixed up, because my notes ( looking at now) say exterior painting. I didn't need you at the house for an exterior quote. Only when you used profanity over the phone, I said to find another contractor. It would behoove you to be honest when posting online."

Neal answered every call and test quickly, estimate was in writing. Only did was needed to be done and did not make the job any bigger than it needed to be. He works hard and quick. We are very happy with the work performed and the price. Neal is now our go to man for anything we need done in our home, he is very honest and professional!

Really good. Neal was very professional. Answered any questions I had. Explained my budget and Neal gave suggestions on how I could stay within my budget. All workers should be like him. I wish I could give a picture but do not know how. All I know is I felt he would do right by me and he did. That is hard to find. You can tell he is proud of his work
