Cake Decorating
We had a tasting with Chris, the baker, several months before the wedding. He showed us examples of his work and made suggestions for the design, size, etc. He could have done a floral topper, but we had our own. The kids picked out a cake design that they liked. The wedding was on a Sunday and most bakeries are closed then. Chris made arrangements to deliver the cakes on Saturday afternoon and coordinated with the staff at the reception club to make sure that the cake was kept at the proper temperature, had the topper on correctly, and was assembled correctly. There was no additional charge for the delivery. He provided a special box for the top tier that the couple could use to freeze the cake for their first anniversary. Everyone raved about the cakes. They were fun and delicious.
