The estimator came on time, a few days after I set up an appointment, explained everything to my satisfaction. He gave a fair price for a new door (with blown-in polyurethane insulation) and ALL new hardware.) He also sent a door tech 4 business days days later to temporarily fix the spring (for free) so i could use the door and opener while I waited 3 weeks for my door to come in (I wanted a very specific, unpopular one.) The tech arrived on time (I was the first stop of the day) and installed the door. The wire for one of the opener safety sensors had been chewed up by an animal some years before, so the wire broke off during the change-over of hardware (totally understandable.) He said he was required to replace it before hooking up the door to my opener. But he came back the next morning to do so. I thought he was going to replace the wire all the way to the opener, but he only spliced the new sensor in. If I had known that he wasn't going to replace the whole wire, I would have replaced the sensor myself and saved $24. Overall, I'm happy, because I paid a fair price for the quality and R-value of door, and the service they provided. Overhead Door of Akron receives bonus points for fixing the spring at no charge so I could open the door while I waited for the replacement.

I guess they were good. The guy knew what he was doing and went right to it. I will call him again if I need more work done. The guy was good all the way around.

Very well. We needed a quality, insulated garage door installed while we were out of town and we negotiated with Overhead Door over the phone. They described what they would do and when we returned home the new garage door was in place just as agreed. We are very satisfied with their service. Very patient, informative estimate by the GM for new garage door (style, color, window or no window, ...) Took ~2 wks for Overhead door to get the new door. New Thermacore model 198 long panel, desert tan, no windows door included all new hardware (guide rails, side & bottom seals, etc). Install / tie-in to existing door opener took ~ 3 1/2 hrs. Cleanup was great - including old door removal. Price was better than from another company (that gave an impersonal estimate). I also used a $900 for $1000 of work Angie's List coupon. Overhead Door will get my business in the future.

They kind of misled me. I thought the price that they quoted me was for everything, and it was just for the parts. I would have to use them as they are just about the only ones in the area. They cleaned the area before they left. I would tell a friend about them.

Garage door worked for a while then stopped. They ca,e out a second and charged us to try and repair it again. It still doesn't work. We now have to call another place to repair our garage door

The salesman(Ken) was very nice, professional and helpful in determining what we needed. Also thought their price was very competitive. By 4:00 Tony arrived and diagnosed that the track had become offset. Within an hour he was able to fix and lubricate the door. The home is older and the spacing of the tracks is very tight. I was impressed how quickly Overhead Door responded to my call, and that Tony was able to solve my problem within a short time, right before the weekend. I recommend Overhead Door and would definitely hire them again.

They responded quickly. They called when they were on their way. They made sure the correct spring was used. The old spring was not the correct spring.
