Klassic Hardwood Flooring

They ruined my existing wood floor in the process by leaving tape on it too long. Owner, Sue, was rude and did not care a big. She said she’d send someone over to repair it. Never did. Never returned my follow up calls.

Sue was very accommodating. Although we signed the contract in June, we wanted to wait until the first of the year to start. We were contacted in the first week of January and we set a date. It took three days for them to sand due to the fact that our floors were pre-finished and removing the original finish took a bit longer. They stained in one day, and then put a coat of polyurethane on each of the next three days. The results were beautiful. They also came back to fix two very minor spots we found. From start to finish Klassic Hardwood was fantastic. A contractor, who came to our house to discuss a different project, was so impressed that he asked for the name of the company!

I was told we'd be able to stay in house and that the odor from the job would be slight. Not true. When the floor was compete and they finally showed up to check the work and remove the tape that was supposed to protect my other hard wood, it had been left for so long that it ruined parts of the floor that it was supposed to protect - also hardwood. It pulled parts of the finish off. When Sue was contacted she said she'd look at it when she picked up the final payment. She told me It was because the other floors needed refinishing too (not true) and tried to sell me on that. We finally agreed that one of her employees would come out a week later to fix the parts they damaged. They never called or showed up and no phone calls were returned. I came across Klassic while looking for a company to refinish floors in my new house and felt I'd be remiss in not letting others know the horrible service we received.

Excellent work. Incredible job matching colors in remainder of home. Work done without any of our involvement -- true experts. Pricing not the highest nor lowest, but reasonable. Very limited dust issues.

Beautiful! Klassic was able to completely match the existing hardwood floor in our dining room and extend it into the living room. The owner, Sue Kaser, personally came out to give the estimate and answer any questions we had. We were under a time constraint which she tried her best to accommodate. We had 2 1/4" red oak installed with flush mounted wood vents and shoe molding, the existing floor sanded, and the old and new floors finished with 3 coats of polyurethane. Both crews, installation and finish, were very competent and professional. We are so very pleased with our floor and glad that we decided to extend the hardwood and not re-carpet the living room.

Klassic did a great job, punctual and very responsive. Work was high quality, floor was in really rough shape with half having been refinished previously and half not. Klassic took care of it and colored it perfectly to match the adjacent room.

Zoltan is the man, we contacted him, he came in gave us a great estimate, but the date was out of our range, so he suggested that his right hand man Thamas can get the job done under his supervision. Thamas did a great job and there was a few things that needed to be taken care off after the job was done. and he did take care of it, very courteous treatment, very kind guy, great example for nice and professionalism

I was very pleased. Klassic provided the promised service at an excellent price.  This was not an easy job.  Two of the rooms had padding material that had eaten into the old finish which made sanding particularly challenging. Nonetheless, the end result was outstanding and the job was finished on-time.  I am happy to recommend them.  I told Klassic that if any potential customer wants a testimonial, have them call me.

As a courtesy, I called when I was going to be out of town the end of May.  Sue  indicated that I was not on the work order yet anyway and she gave me  reasons why I was not on the schedule.  I asked what her estimate would be for service and she said 3 weeks.  I heard nothing for 6 weeks and when I spoke with her on 8/13/2014, she said, "I was waiting for you to call to let me know you were ready."  When I told her that I had been ready for 6 weeks, she said that she would see when she could fit me in and let me know.  It has been eight days and I have heard nothing. I  hired another contractor.  In a nut shell, communication is a major problem with this company.  There is a receptionist who fields the calls as they come in.

Spoke with Sue, made an appointment for her to come look at our hardwood floor, she did not show up for

appointment, did not call. When I called to question why she wasn't here, they said she would give her the

message, but still no response. Moving on to another company.

Excellent from start to finish. First meeting was great. Workers were professional, prompt and hard workers. The finished product was exceptional.

The price seemed fair and I accepted the quote.  Communications and timing problems ensued and I was unable to  get a response from the owner to set up a start date.  We did not use this vendor.

Sue Kaser came out to give me an estimate to remove carpet and refinish the original hardwood floors in the living room, hall and bedroom of my ranch home, which was built in 1955.  The project included moving the furniture in those rooms.  Before accepting her written proposal, I explained the necessity of having the job done ASAP because I planned to entertain family and friends for the July 4th holiday. She said the process takes about five days and that she could have it done on time. I accepted her estimate of $1850; her crew started the project on Thursday, June 20, 2013 by removing the carpet and furniture.  They worked Friday and Saturday on sanding, and applied stain and coating on Monday and Tuesday.
The fumes were awful -- but that's the price for beautiful floors. Ventilation problems were complicated because of the heat and humidty, and because my furniture was stacked in my family room, and I couldn't get to the windows. I opened all the windows in other rooms that I could, and I was gone 8-10 hours of the day. But it was still unpleasant. I am still smelling some of the fumes today, July 2. I would advise anyone else having this done to leave the house for a few days, if possible. If you have respiratory problems, this is a must. I could not leave, so I made the best of it. 
The Klassic Hardwood Floors crew did an outstanding job on my floors! They had to lower trim in some parts of the living room, paint and stain new molding for the ceramic tile entry, and everything else that was needed to make the floors look professional. Of course, with an older home, there were small nail marks that could not be sanded out or covered. I was told that they were the result of moisture getting into the carpet nail marks. This extra work increased the job cost to $2,060 from the original estimate of $1,850.  If you're considering refinishing your floors, be sure to get an understanding of these needed things and if they are covered in the original estimate. It is highly likely these kinds of refinishing this will be needed on older homes. I did not ask prior to the agreement. Still, the overall price for this job was reasonable for the amount of work that was done.
The Klassic crew came out and put my furniture back in place yesterday, July 1. No problems! And I have enough time to put other stuff back in place, and clean the relatively small amount of dust resulting from the sanding --  which was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I have seen much worse in the homes of friends who had their floors refinished.
I high recommend Sue Kaser and her crew at Klassic Hardwood Floors for profesional, courteous service at reasonable prices -- and critical schedules.

Everything was done on schedule and according to plan. The hardwood was installed with real professionalism and attention to detail. The small repair job in the 1/2 bath was done perfectly, as well. Once stained, the existing hardwood and that newly installed gave us a seamless look throughout the entire first floor.

They did a really good job. Their work was very comparable to the service we got from other very highly regarded companies in our area. They were able to get in and get the job done fast with the sooner abilities which was kind of the main deciding factor in going with them. The pricing was very similar between companies that we thought had comparable qualities and reputation. Their service was good, and we were very happy with them; they did a very good job and they were very professional and their work was great.

We purchased a home with a well used 1st floor and stairs. The previous owner told us Klassic Hardwood Flooring had installed the floor  when the house was built 15 years ago. We contacted Klassic about 3 weeks before possesion of the home. They were able to start on the exact date we requested since they have multiple crews. The only issue we had was having to call and email a extra time so we could get quote straightened out. 

About the work performed, we awere very pleased with the workers performance.  They helped us move a large refridgerator out of the house so the house was ready for work. They didn't blink an eye at helping do a extra step in the job. They came right in and got to work no drama, no games. Just courteous and efficient. 

When it came time to decide the exact color of the floor stain the crew leader (I think his name was Mark) was very patient and did a couple of samples on the floor in the best light and near the cabinets so we could see exactly what the floor color would look like. The job site was kept clean and they kept me informed of each step along the way. All directions were followed to the letter.

Not receiving an estimate caused me to look for another installer (Southwest Flooring) who did a great job.

The installer was Doug.  He was a fabulous, meticulous worker.  He was always on time and worked hard when he was here.  I was home during most of the installation. He tried his best to keep the dust out of parts of the house and off of the furniture.  He removed the old floor and hauled it away.  He showed me spots around the front door that needed our attention.  He moved all of the large furniture for us (as we both have health conditions that moving furniture will aggravate). He even made our speaker wires that came up through holes in the old floor, come out of the shoe molding instead and looks so much better than before!  When the floor was finished  he put all of the molding back up, and 2 others came and filled the holes and any gaps.  The put all of the furniture back where it belonged.  He put felt pads on the heavy furniture and gave us more felt pads to put under all other furniture that would be on the floor.  Before he left he double checked that everything was back to our satisfaction and the job was completed as expected.  The flooring looks great and I would definitely use Klassic floors again.

I spent $1800 for that work and I thought that it was reasonable. I really liked him because we were going over the finish and I did not want my floor too glossy. I had my living and dining room floor done by someone else the year before and I did not really like that experience. I did not like the finish, so that is I joined the list and I did not want to have it too glossy and go through the same mess I had before. He came up with the idea of mixing half for one and the other half for the other and we did and got in-between and it looks really nice. They were very professional, came when they said they would and did exactly what they said they would do. They also worked with me on the finish and I would definitely use him again. I thought it was the great experience working with them.

They were friendly and gave us the quote quickly. We didn?t have a lot of questions for them. Our neighbors had used their services. We saw what they had done for our neighbors and we also liked what they had done. The quote was fine, but we didn?t hire them since we didn?t have the money at that time to get the work done and we haven?t done it yet. The lady who we dealt with said that she would come out at a particular time and she was here at the time specified.

Their pricing was fair and was quoted with a simple floor layout. They did not require an on site visit to give me a quote. This was nice because it saved me time. They were very responsive and nice to work with. I did not choose them simply because I was able to find carpet that was closer to my desired color/design elsewhere.

Fantastic. Klassic Hardwood is a great company, all the employees (and believe me there are individuals for each different job) were so nice and pleasant. They all got on with the work and there were never any issues from start to finish. They always showed up early and always cleaned up after themselves. They never wanted anything from me although I kept offering coffee etc. They never took a long lunch or disappeared for a long time. They just did their work. We had hired another company and I was constantly chasing them down to schedule a day when someone would show up. I decided to go with Klassic who not only met the other company's price but came a week later and finished a week later. This was all during the Thanksgiving week, they would have finished sooner if it weren't for Thanksgiving. So we are extremely grateful to them and happy with the whole process.

Very professional and very prompt and clean. Took off shoes. Explained everything and answered questions. They had to come out twice to re sand/refinish a few boards because of bubbles. Then Sue wanted them to hand-sand the entire floor and redo the last coat because it wasn't up to her standards. I was very particular and so was she, she kept me completely satisfied all at no extra charge. The floor is beautiful, and they were great to work with. The only thing remaining is the carpet, but we had to let the floor dry. I will definitely use again. The price was VERY reasonable compared to competitors.
