He was prompt, thorough, and did a great job. He put alot of thought into how to do it because of the way the existing ceiling was.

He followed up when I called. He came when he said he would. He problem-solved and wasn't satisfied until the job was done perfectly.

Richard is a perfectionist. He made sure all work was done correctly.

Richard did great carpentry work at our house and as we discussed staining our deck he explained he could do that as well. He did the work on time and at a very fair price! Great work as usual!

We hired Richard to hang new interior doors, build a new stair rail, stain and paint. Not only did he do all of the work on time, but his work was done as if he was doing it at his home. He cared about the fit and finish and did everything he had to do to make it exactly right even if it meant more of his time!! Great work and fair prices!!

I was very pleased with them. They did an excellent job quality-wise. They were very fine on pricing. The installation was a little challenging because of the way the stairway was and part of it was two-story so he quoted me a cost not to exceed. He finished it half a day less and he adjusted the price accordingly. I was quite pleased with the price. He was a very professional individual and he cared very much about the quality of the work he provides to his people.

Richard and his crew were very professional, neat, cleaned up after their work. The craftsmanship / quality is excellent. He was prompt, kept me informed of his schedule and protected floors and woodwork to prevent damage.
Richard is a honest stand up guy and I would definitely use his services again if the need arises. It was a pleasure to watch him work. His attention to detail and quality is second to none.

I hired Richard to frame my entire basement in preparation for finishing. I am acting as my own general contractor and am subbing out certain desired pieces. 1st off and most importantly, Richard did an excellent job and I would hire again in a second. The aspects I appreciated most about him are his attention to detail, thought he puts into each piece, questions he asked, and then the fact that he never rushed it. He has a busy schedule, but treated the job like it was his own and ensured it was done absolutely perfect. I cant say enough about that piece. You see guys come in all the time and rush through one thing in order to get to the next. Richard is the exact opposite and I never once felt like he was cutting a corner (no pun intended). He went above and beyond for me. He is highly talented and takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work. Im ecstatic the way the basement has turned out and I am confident it will work out perfect as I move to the next stages of the project.

The project went very well from start to finish. Richard promptly came out and provided an estimate after my original call. He was always on time and did what he could within reason to work around our busy schedules. Rather than just throw in a door and storm door like many installers would do, he actually took time to step back and fully assess the project both before and during the project to make sure that everything would work. He also communicated with us throughout the project whenever an issue arose to make sure we were in agreement as to everything he was doing. He did a great job of remedying issues caused by our orginal builder. When you watch Richard you realize that he spends a lot more time thinking that he does pounding, and at the end of the project the result of his thoughtful and detail oriented approach comes through in the quality of his work.

Richard was easy to work with. He was thoughtful, prepared a detailed contract which was accurate, and made good suggestions as we went along; and he was very tidy (he built dust walls to contain the dust and covered floors with paper, osb, or plastic to protect them). Work started when promised and Richard stayed at it till the job was done, working 6 days per week for almost a month. Richard worked around supplier limitations (the replacement window, which we ordered, was slow to arrive), and completed the work before we left on vacation. When he left, the areas where work was performed were clean and all trash was removed. One couldn't ask for a better remodeling experience, and the workmanship was excellent. Richard would be our first choice for additional projects. The price was also very reasonable for the work done.

He's very good. He takes his time but this was not a rush job and it didn't matter how long it took. I think he was working two jobs but he got it done in a couple weeks.

Richard's work was excellent. I highly doubt we could have found somebody else who would have taken the effort to perform such quality work. He explained our options, including replacing the entire door area. He even made some phone calls to get estimates. Seeing that we were hesitant to incur that expense, he moved forward with the repair. He was very thorough in every aspect of the job. The damage to the door area was more severe than he expected when he came out to give us the estimate. He made some reasonable adjustments to the bid for the additional work. He made improvements to the door area to offer more protection against the weather elements. The entire door area looks phenomenal now - it looks like a new door area - maybe better. Richard was very easy to work with and the area was spotless each day before he left. He took no shortcuts and took the time to explain what he was doing and how to best maintain the door area. He also wants to see how the area holds up over time since the damage was pretty extensive. He did everything in his power to save our door area and we are grateful for all his hard work. I highly recommend Richard Droman Carpentry and will definitely contact Richard again for any of our future carpentry needs.

Richard was accomodating in fitting my small project into his busy schedule. He came out when promised, did excellent work, cleaned everything up and was done within a day. All in all, he was very flexible to accommodate my needs. The results were fabulous! It looks like I spent a lot more money than I did. I appreciate his help in making a dysfunctional bathroom beautiful! I think he is not afraid to take on a challenge and has creative solutions to to meet the job at hand. I wish I had hired him sooner.

For a messy job like plastering Richard was careful to clean up everything as he went and kept things going and in good order. I'm very pleased with the professional way he handles himself and with his friendly nature and consideration for the area he's working in. The job went well and the results were excellent including a new bath fan than I can barely hear when it runs. He always checks out the high and low options and keeps you up to date on what's available. I'm sure he'll be back here for future projects as my budget allows. I first chose Richard from Angie's List from evaluations and because he's a local contractor - very good choice!

Water damage to front of garage caused most of the wood to rott as well as the existing entry door. Richard took care of all repairs using quality materials which resulted in a very nice finished product, giving us the choice of several kinds of material. Richard has communicated via e-mail with his initial quote and also with the times he would be here for work and what he expected to do. He was very professional and took the necessary time to do a good job, but the job was completed in a timely fashion. He is a good/dependable worker and knows his materials and job well; I would highly recommend him and will be using him for future work.
