I thought it went well but an issue arose on the winter when snow collects around my chimney and slowly melts. There was mold and water damage. Steve Miller the owner didn't return my many phone calls, even after my insurance agent called and he promissed to call me back. I learned that this is an issue with my style of roof but wouldn't a roofer know that and possibly have an idea of how to preventing the damage to my ceiling? Not Steve Miller like the song and quot;Go on Take the Money and Runand quot;.

For the most part Steve is wonderful. He was however a bit slow in getting back to us and responding.

He does a good job. We were moving into a new condo, and there were a lot of work needing to be done outside; he basically took care of it. He is not a close relative, but he is in the family. He has always been obliging and fair in prices.

This is the 2nd project that we have used Buckeye for. Did a great job, and built us an impressive deck. The deck is @10 foot so we waterproofed the underside for an eventual outdoor room.

Shingles started sliding off roof and coming apart within the first year or two, this contiued for 11 years, They came out to nail back up shingles 15-20 times over this period of time, I just had the roof redone by another contractor (I WATCHED THESE GUYS WORK) and what I saw was one lousy job removed from my roof, the ridge vent was installed --but the roof was never cut so the vent could even function at all, the old flashing was reused, the iceguard was only put on in pieces leaving gaps. My shingles that were guaranteed 40 years, cooked and fell apart in 11 years THANK GOD and thank Angie's list I got a good contractor this time.
(COOKED AND FELL APART BECAUSE THE RIDGE VENT WAS NEVER REALLY INSTALLED)
Also when I would call Steve, I almost always had to leave a message to which he would almost never call back, his guy would just show up, sometimes within 3 days but usually my wife would ask did he call ?, you're gonna have to call him again. so 2 weeks was normal, I never lost my temper or got mad at this man, I always treated him with respect, so it was never a personal issue. The last 3 times I called him between May and July of this year got me a long silence, then a text message with a word of encouragement they would come out and renail the roof and put in more nails and maybe that would fix the problem, they never came until about july 10th just after another roofer's worker had just left after fixing the 2 bad spots, and it wasn't a crew Steve sent out to renail my roof it was 1 guy to fix the 2 bad spots, took 2 months to come out for that. WOW and WOW thanks again Angie, sorry Steve.

Response from Buckeye Exteriors LLC
"The Company the member had install his roof was " Buckeye Roofing" not Buckeye Exteriors LLC. I had sold him his roof for this company. The company is no longer in business. I did what I could to try to help with his roofing issues; though I was not obligated too. Every time I sent my crew out for a service call I paid for the service out of my pocket. I do believe I had them out at least 15 times. I spent an average of $150.00 per service call. I left company to start my own company where I would have control over issues like this. I did try to help at my own expense in correcting an Installation issue I was not responsible for or aware of. I could have told him when he called that I am no longer with the company and they went out of business; good luck. Your Claim against my company now is just not true or correct, Buckeye Exteriors Llc was not even established when your roof was done."

The cost was hundreds less than other estimates I received. Steve and crew were on time and done in a flash. My neighbors were amazed on how well they worked and how quickly they were gone!

They were excellent. They do what they say they are going to do. I thought my foundation was crumbling below my garage which would have been another couple thousand dollars to do, they told me the foundations were fine and I would be better off getting a company who just does the surface so I appreciated their honesty because if he would have said sure you need that done I wouldn't have known better. So they are very honest. He came out after the concrete was laid and put grass seed and dirt where they tore out the old blacktop. I called various places and they said whatever they mess up is your problem but with them they fixed everything. The doors and windows were also excellent, that's why we keep using them for any kind of external work on the house. The price is competitive. They are honest, reliable, and do a great job. The owner is very personable, nice to deal with, and easy to deal with. Honesty goes a long way. They were worth the money, you get what you paid for. They put in a little radiant in our driveway so it wasn't flat and didn't run water towards our house, they did things other companies wouldn't do. People stop me and say who did your work because it looks so nice. They told me upfront they were pretty booked and didn't say they could come then not show up because they were busy.

Price is always right, work is done wonderfully. Only complaint would be that he is very busy and it takes him a bit to get back to us.

I mostly liked that they did what they said they were going to do. We had worked with them before and they said they would do the same job at the same cost. They were very hard to get hold of and it took several days for them to get back to us. I think they did the work with a slightly different product than the first time and it had a different effect. I never followed up with them on that. We did not shop around for pricing.

He was very capable of doing this. He put in a drains. He did parallel drains. He took out the old patio and put on a new patio. He had pipes underground and took it out to the street. While we were there it did a good job. He showed up with the men. We asked him to change plans in the middle of the project and he was willing to do that. He even came back 2 or 3 weeks later. He works with the customer. He is trustworthy. The people that work for him are marvelous.

I called to inquire about getting an exterior paint job done on my home and they informed me at the time that their estimator was on vacation and would call me when that individual returned. Based on that, I never got a callback from them (if they called, they never left a message) and I never followed up to see why.

Steve was very thorough and had some good ideas about the design of our small deck. He was thoughtful of our future patio plans when helping us plan out the deck. It took Steve a few weeks to finish the project because of a small misunderstanding about the deck color we wanted (it had to be special ordered and that took 5 days). We are very satisfied with our deck and plan to contact Steve next year about a patio.

Steve came out promptly and gave me an estimate without me being present. The estimate was in line with others that I was given. They completed the work with no problems and my garage looks great again.

The crew showed up on Monday morning and went to work. The job lasted about 4 days. Most of the days the "head," Steve, stayed and finished the day's work. The crew of 2 worked most of the day and finished the job 1 day early. We were very satisfied. This was heavy work as a lot of work was needed on the retaining wall and the concrete work for the sidewalk.

Everything went great and Steve was excellent to work with. Steve gave me a heads-up when they were going to be starting work. It took about 21 hours total to complete. Each of the 60 aluminum balusters had to be cut down to fit and the guys did a perfect job matching the spacing I had used on the rest of the deck. I would definitely use them again when needed.

They were excellent. We've never been more pleased with any work we've had done. They took great time and care over the work. Steve is very personable and a hard worker. We had originally contacted two firms we found on Angie's List for estimates and Steve charged us $400 less than their estimates - and again he did a wonderful job. We will hire him again for any work we need doing on our house in the future.
