While the company did respond within a few hours of receiving the call from my insurance company, due to the pitch of my roof, they said sandbags would be ineffective to hold down tarps on my roof. I accepted their determination and they left after five minutes. The man even said to me, "there's no sense in me charging you because I can't do this work for you." I was surprised that they then billed my insurance company $175 for what they termed a "trip charge." I thought this cost was excessive and unnecessary since no services were performed and they were only at my home for five minutes. I told the insurance company this as well. Because of this excess charge, I wouldn't consider using them again.
Description of Work: My insurance company called them on an emergency basis after a windstorm blew several shingles off my roof. The scope of the work was supposed to be putting tarps on my roof weighed down by sandbags instead of nailing or gluing the tarp onto the roof before the inspector could assess the roof for damage.

+ -1 moreI was fairly neutral with them, I wasn't blown away with how good they were, or hot bad they were. I would give them 3 out of 5 stars. I had a couple of issues with them, but they got the work done and it has been good quality, so it was a decent experience.
Description of Work: We used Belfor. They handled some insurance work that I had on my home 2 years ago. They were the general contractor for a remodeling for weather damage.

Description of Work: My 81 year old mother's home experienced sewage back-up last month. They did get out relatively quickly....the majority of the clean out was done by another party. They completed the wall washing/clean up/dehumidifier/fans/etc.(missed a few areas). The biggest complaint is the lack of billing in a timely fashion....my mother got limited insurance funds and has yet to receive a statement of work completed or an invoice....this work was done approx. six weeks ago. Her neighbor who was assisting her has called, I have called and told them to call me or my mom.....still no return call or correspondence. Any questions, please call me Lou Mascolo 330/256-5257.
