He showed up on time, evaluated our system, cleaned some things up, tested everything and had my wife's concerns put to rest. He is always great to work with. I have had multiple neighbors and friends call him for service and I have never heard anything besides glowing reports.
Description of Work: We called due to an electrical smell in the home which we thought was in the furnace. It didn't smell like a typical heater coil smell.

I chose to contract & pay for annual service to have him back in the spring to check the AC. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Rob himself is very personable and comes across as an honest guy out to make a living and do his job with excellence. He's very knowledgeable about units and gave me tips on how to make the most of ours and how to prepare financially for when our 20+ year old unit finally gives up the good fight. I was thrilled with the service and the results. 4 stars Rob!
Description of Work: This guy knows his stuff and went right to work! We discovered the Central A/C Unit stopped blowing cold air Friday, August 16, 2013 at 4:30 pm edt. A landscaping crew had been out the day before and we thought that could be related. We braced ourselves to pay an exorbitant emergency a/c visit fee with our normal a/c guy. But then I found Kain's Heating and Cooling just a few miles away and he had 'A' ratings thru and thru. I called Rob and he immediately called me back. He came out Saturday morning 10 minutes early! charged me no emergency fee , just a normal house call fee! He found the cut wire the landscaping crew (and mice) had destroyed almost immediately. He repaired it for just $15. The house immediately started to cool down and what a relief it was all done before 10 AM. This guy knows his stuff and just went right to work. We talked a bit about other services he offers and I will definitely be using him again. 100% satisfied customer.

On time, and contrary to what the past two service companies had told us, he hooked up the air conditioner correctly to the control unit, made sure the thermostat wires were fixed and had all up and running within an hour. He stated we did not need eitter a new air conditioner or new heater as we were previously told by other repair service companies. Mr Cain also recommended his fall service and noted that our units were in fine shape and to just to keep them maintained and they would last for several more years. He just charged us for a service call. Extraordinary service, we are huge fans! Extremely prompt, professional and honest, just doesn't get any better than that!
Description of Work: Our air conditioner would not turn on after another contractor disconnected it last winter and said we needed a new air conditioning unit. After his visit, my husband noted that our ducks and geese (another long story) had nibbled the thermostat wires. My husband fixed the bare and exposed wires this spring, but we could not get the unit to run. We found Cains here on Angies list and since he was local gave him a call.

+ -1 moreNo cool air from our AC unit. Called about 7:30am. Talked to Rob and he said he could come out that day. He called when he was about 20 min away so I could get home from work. He filled the freon and it was working again. He was only there about 30 min. Rob was very nice and professional.
