Initially there was good rapport with Mr. Schwartz. Once the work started there were issues that arose on a daily basis. Mr. Schwartz seemed to be in such a hurry to complete the job that steps were overlooked and short cuts were taken that compromised the quality of the completed project. Foam insulation was purchased and onsite for the exterior walls below grade that wasn't installed. House wrap was installed in small pieces, rather than in one continuous run. The roof leaks. Water runs through the block walls. Not just seeps, but actually runs through. Mr. Schwartz did attempt to re-seal part of the walls with limited success, but then left a mess on the siding where the men slopped tar. Poor back fill resulted in a 12' x 3' cavern under the rear concrete pad after the first rain. Siding was insufficiently attached and blew off the house three times before the issue was resolved. The concrete in the drive way has pocked and is disintegrating. The opening for the garage door was made too tight resulting in the door dragging and screaming in protest at every open-close cycle. Windows wouldn't close and latch completely. Screens had large gaps around the edges. I had to deal with the supplier to have the window problems repaired. Mr. Schwartz initially made attempts to remedy a couple of these issues, but soon began to bill me for attempts to remedy the problems that were caused by his poor workmanship. The men in the crew were courteous. The job was completed, other than the call backs, in a timely manner. Mr. Schwartz dealt with changes to the initial plan well, and at no point was he discourteous or disrespectful.
