"Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I am truly sorry that you felt disrespected and I would like to extend an apology to you on behalf of the sales representative and Winger Construction. Perhaps the sales representatives attempt to give you an upfront, no hidden fees cost was perceived as condescending and passive, however I assure you that we pride ourselves on being professional and honest about our pricing. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to other companies/contractors quotes on your project because there is so much variation in the quality of products offered throughout the industry. Wingler Construction has been in business for 57 years and we use only the highest of quality materials which allows us to provide a lifetime warranty of the majority of our products. High quality products will dramatically affect the cost of a project. We have finished an abundance of basements in the decades that we have been in business, but we are known predominately for kitchen and bath remodels. I am happy to hear that you were able to complete your project and I hope you and your family enjoy your new basement. Sincerely, Wingler Construction"
From the start, Wingler worked with me. Bill Tittle did an excellent job in providing both the technical details of the doors and siding as well as the aesthetics. Bill visited the home at least five times during the Christmas vacation to ensure that we were comfortable with the type of doors and color selections. He also worked with us to ensure the project within our budget. He also visited when during the construction to ensure that I was satisfied.
Don Wingler (owner) was great in regard to communication, timing and managing the job overall. Very easy to talk to. Additionally, he performed the final quality inspection. During the final walkthrough, I expressed that I should have had the three pillars moved in the front as well as added additional battens on the top apex as accents. Although it would require additional work, Don (without reservation), offered to do both several times even though the job was complete.
The Wingler crew was GREAT! They were very respectful of my property and tried to do as little damage as possible to the lawn and landscaping. One thing that really impressed me was that instead of installing the underlayment and siding over the existing stucco and trim, Wingler decided to remove the stucco/trim to avoid any wavy appearance of the siding and to ensure a more secure installation. This was a lot of work that was not in the original plans and no cost increase was passed onto me. This reassured me of the Wingler's quality and attention to detail. As the worked progressed, there were sections of the house that required unexpected work due to slight amount of rotting. Harry (foreman) remedied everything I requested (without cost) and even installed fascia trim boards that was my responsibility. Harry was VERY patient in our daily discussions of the front three posts offering several really great suggestions.
Rick (doors) installed all the outside the fascia trim (again my responsibility) prior to the installation of the back door which was very professionally done. Unfortunately, the inside trim to the front ProVia door was not the exact color match as the door. D. Wingler, without discussion, ordered a replacement of the trim work.
This is the second job Wingler has performed for me (installation of storm doors/basement windows on new home ~1992). I would definitely recommend Wingler Construction for any of your remodeling needs and will certainly use them in the future.
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], thank you so much for the kind review. We work very hard to do excellent quality work so that nice customers like yourself will be happy with the project. We enjoyed very much working with you, and we are so pleased that you are happy with the finished results. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any help in the future! Thanks again."
Sub-contractor performed the flooring work and Wingler contractors re-installed our toilet, added matching shoe molding, and caulking.
Had difficulties in scheduling between the sub-contractor and Production Manager. Work was estimated to complete in 4-6 weeks, but took 9 weeks due to laying the flooring a 2nd time and repeated reschedules by the sub-contractor.
Wingler resources were polite and thoroughly answered my questions.
We contacted them for an estimate on Thursday. Advised they would be here on Saturday at 10:00. They called about 8:30 on Saturday morning and left message on voice mail. Stated someone had double booked them. We called and rescheduled for later in the day at 3:30.
We received a text message, cancelling the 3:30, asking to reschedule for Monday. Obviously not dependable keeping appointments, so I have doubts about their work. We texted them back and let them know we weren't interested in their company.
"We do apologize for the inconvenience. A mistake was made that caused a double booking, which resulted in the time being changed. Then our Sales rep had a personal emergency that made it impossible for him to make the rescheduled time. We feel terrible for the confusion, and we do apologize for the inconvenience this caused to you. This is definitely not how we do business. We do wish you the best in getting your remodeling project done, and if there is any way that we can help you in the future, please do not hesitate to give us a call."
It went very well and we have been using them for 16 or 17 years. We are just very happy with them. They do really good work. Their workers are clean, friendly and answered questions that needed to be answered. Their responsiveness was excellent.
"Thank you for taking the time to give us this review on Angie's List. Feedback from customers such as you helps us to improve our company. We try very hard to provide the very best service to all of our customers. Occaisionally, a project comes along that we feel that we may not be able to provide the very best quality job. In those very rare instances, we sometimes decline a project. We are very sorry if we caused a delay in your searching out other companies to do your project. In any case, thank you for the opportunity to review your project, and we wish you the very best on your project."
the Work Quality, and amount of time for Removal and Replacement of Bathroom Tub and Surround Walls went as quoted by the contractor
"Thank you for taking the time to submit this review to Angie's List! It was a pleasure doing this project for you, and we would look forward to working with you again!"
