TREES R US

On 7-26-2022 Trees R Us wrote me an estimate to cut down and remove 3 trees on my property. The estimate was $5000. Roger (owner of Trees R Us ) required a 20% down payment so he could rent equipment to remove the trees. After numerous excuses for not being able to start the job he finally showed up at 2 pm on 11-3-2022 to start the job. The only equipment he brought was a chainsaw and a wheelbarrow. When asked where the equipment was that he was supposed to rent he said that he was going to cut the trees down and somebody else would come and remove them. That is not how the job was presented to me and since it took him 4 months to finally show up I was not going to have trees laying around my property waiting for who knows how long for somebody else to come remove them. I told him that I did not want him to do the job and I wanted my downpayment returned. He said he didn't have it and he couldn't pay me. I filed with Small Claims Court but he didn't show up and the court and I really don't know how to find him. He shows 3 different addresses online for his company and it appears he doesn't live at any of them. Will not respond to my phone calls or text messages. Right now I am out $1078.00. He had done other jobs for me in the past without any problems.

Roger and his crew arrived and in one afternoon trimmed and cleaned up three maple trees.

Fantastic. Roger and his crew had no problem doing the work. Instead of just trimming at the property line, Roger got up in the tree and trimmed the dying branches. The tree is in better shape now and not even a single plant was damaged in the process. The cleanup was excellent. Roger may not appear as professional as other companies, but this seems to be because he enjoys the work so much and has a positive attitude.

At first everything went well. Roger and his crew were experienced and capable of removing the dead trees and cleaning up. Roger was personable and certainly convinced me he was a professional. As with many services I am not familiar with I find myself at the mercy of the worker. He can tell me anything and if I have gained some trust I believe what they say. This is where it fell apart. I have a large beautiful oak tree in front of the house. Almost 50 years old. Some of the branches were overhanging the house and I wanted them trimmed. Roger said what it really needed was "thinned".  It cost more money but he assured me that the following year the tree would flourish and be better. I consented and afterwards it didn't look good but I trusted him. The following spring it was apparent that the tree was distressed. I left several messages on his phone but he never returned my calls. The tree is obviously dying as only about half the leaves appeared and they turned brown mid summer. Limbs are falling off and it's going to be very expensive to remove. There are a number of the same trees in the neighborhood of the same age and they are all fine, a reminder of what mine looked like. A couple of days ago I noticed that Trees-R-Us was working in my neighborhood and I saw Roger. I asked him if he remembered me and he said yeas and stuck out his hand. I told him about what happened to the tree and he said, "well that tree was dying and I tried to save it". Like I said before we are at the mercy of workers performing work we are not sure of what is right or wrong.

I will certainly recommend them.  They are very negotiable and they work with you.

I had a huge pine tree that was leaning toward my house and the neighbors garage.  Roger and his crew showed up on time and not only cut down the tree but hauled away all of it, raked yard and swept the street where the chipper was.
I will continue to use this company whenever I have the need.

We originally started the discussion with the intent of only having the crab apple trees cut down. During our chat, Roger walked with us around the property and explained to us his observations of other work that needed done. He did a great job sharing his knowledge of pear tree maintenance as well as making us aware of the danger our neighbor's tree was posing to our property. I am the type who is very cautious of being "upsold" on unnecessary work by contractors. In this situation, we didn't feel that Roger was talking us into doing anything more than what was necessary. We ended up getting all of the work done that he suggested! Also, the pricing he offered was so competitive that it would have been foolish for us not to get everything done in one shot. After the work was done, the guys thoroughly cleaned both the front and back yards. They even cleaned parts of the yard that weren't impacted by their work directly. That's what I call great customer service!! Needless to say, we are extremely pleased with the work they did and will definitely have them out for any similar needs in the future. Since we live in an old neighborhood with lots of big, beautiful trees, we'll also be recommending them to all of our neighbors as well!

He provided a timely detail estimate and answered all my questions and concerns. We chose a removel date based on weather and ground conditions. He and his crew ( Brian & Jimmy) arrivede promptly at 10:00 and performed all aspects of the job in a professional manner. The job was completed in 4 hrs. with complete clean-up and total removal of all wood and brush.We would certainly recommend and utilize his services in the future.

It was a tricky removal and required climbing the tree for removal.  If the branch would have fallen, we wouldv'e had extensive damage to the house.

I waited a long time to write this review.  This firm did remove the tree from my backyard.  However in doing so, they damaged another tree and broke a section of my fence.  In addition, my backyard is a mess (a lot of dead spots) from the chipper and from the wood chips and other tree debris that was left in my grass. In addtion, there were several large "divots" left in my yard which I had to fill in.  Since this service was provided I have spent house raking my yard trying to get the tree debris from my yard.  Roger did call to check on the job and I called him back and had to leave a message.  I did ask a couple of questions about the dead spots, the tree debris and the divots that were left in my yard in my message.  I think that Roger's response message was less than professional.  I did not contact him again.  I will have to reseed a large portion of my yard based on the damage as a result of having the tree removed.

Gary met me at the properties the day and called him for pricing.  He and his crew had the job done the next day.  Everything looked wonderful.

Roger showed up with crew of 3 himself. Got them started and was out within 4 hours very sate workers!.

Excellent customer service! This was the only company that responded to my call regarding a tree that had fallen on our house during a storm on Friday, 6/29/12. Roger came out within an hour of my call and quickly/safely removed the tree from the roof and the house. He also cleared the debris from the area and did a quick inspection of the roof to determine if there was any visible damage. He was a life saver in this situation and we will definitely be using him for future work. This company is highly recommended!

Called Roger Tuesday evening, he returned our call and said he could come by Wednesday morning.  Gave us an estimate, I said he could have his crew in an hour, took them an hour to finish.

We got 3 estimates, we selected Roger, because he said he would climb the tree himself to do the work. With 20 plus years of experience, we felt confident Roger, would be successful. Roger & his team, skillfully and carefully completed the work without any damage. I will call Roger, again and recommend him to others.

Roger Binkley was professional, offered us a great price, did his job in a timely manner and  cleaned up all the debris before leaving.

Roger and two of his employees responded, arrived within 2 hours of making call. Removed quickly and areas cleaned up. Great job!

Very pleased with the service from beginning to end. Estimate was accurate (cheaper than others), workers were professional and they cleaned everything up before they left. Very friendly bunch!

It was good. 

They arrived a little late but made up for it by doing a great job.  They informed us of what they were doing and why.

I called Trees R Us first thing in the morning and requested an estimate to get the work I needed done.  They were at my house within a half hour and called me with the estimate.  Their estimate was much cheaper than the other estimates I received.  He worked me into his schedule the very same day.  The workers were professional and friendly and the work they performed was great.  They cleaned up all the debris and the yard looked wonderful when they left.  I will use them again.
