Tim is very knowledgeable about all things regarding music.  He is a talented musician who has mastered several instruments, and his expertise really shines during the recording process.  He has been very helpful in guiding my musical pursuits, and I would definitely recommend Tim English for any and all of your musical needs.  From Piano Tunning to orchestration, Tim is the BEST!

Tim English does a fantastic job. He looked at the piano for us before we purchased it from a private seller, to make sure we were making a good investment and recommend a purchase price. He performed repairs on the piano to get it up to the quality of comparable certified used piano from a local dealer. We paid less in total than we would have paid from a dealer on a new piano. The piano is still in great shape after more than a year, and it gets a lot of use since we are a music school. His tuning services are also fast, reasonably priced, and accurate.

He came immediately to do the work. He cleaned the entire piano and tuned it. He made a recommendation for a dehumidifer within the piano which we did. The suggestion has worked out great.

Called Mr. English on Friday. He agreed to come on Saturday. Arrived promptly at 10:00 am. He examined the piano, took some parts out to work on. He returned, that Thursday and reinstalled the parts and tuned the piano. We were having floors replaced and painting done later in the month and Mr. English let us borrow his piano dolly to move the piano around while the work was completed. It made life tremendously easier to complete the work. He recommended piano casters to put under the piano to protect the new floors. They work great. I would recommend Mr. English to anyone.

Mr. English has been tuning my pianos for many years. Always a superb job. Very flexible with adapting his appointments to your schedule. His background includes everything from performing to rebuilding pianos. He tells you about your piano; usage, history, construction, strong and weak points. He will play the keys and point out which need tuning and also then show you with an electronic device. He has evaluated a baby grand piano in the past before we bought it, which has given years of pleasure. Recently I had him evaluate an old family upright. I had not been able to find much out about it. He was able to trace the serial number and pinpoint the year and season it was made. He gave me the history of the old company and took the piano apart to show me it's strengths and needed repairs. There is never any pressure to do more for the piano than you wish to do. For $225 Mr. English spent all the time I needed to explain the repairs and tuning of this piano plus make the repairs I requested. In addition he has told me things I should do over the next 15-20 years to make sure this 61 year old piano "lives" in our family for over 100 years! I have never been less than perfectly satisfied with his work. And an added bonus is listening to him play when he is finished and tries out the piano!

Mr. English was prompt and pleasant, although he tried to impress me with the pianos he has tuned for performers in other cities. After spending the $85 for his services, the piano is not yet in tune. I teach stringed instruments and hear incorrect pitches very easily. Many of the notes in the upper and lower two octaves (four octaves in all), as well as scattered other keys are badly out of tune. It is as if he didn't bother to tune the outer four octaves. I will have to have another tuner come out. I will not call Mr. English again.

Great work an provided good education on my piano including type of wood, location of construction, and education about piano tuning and maintenance. Mr. English clearly is good at his trade and mentioned that he is a thrid generation piano tuner (if I remember).

Per the terms of Angie’s List Complaint Resolution process, I am required to rate him as “A” or “B”. We now rate him "B".

We have truly enjoyed our interactions with Tim English. He is pleasant and personable as well as skilled. His love for music is evident and he shared that with our family. His fees are quite fair and he always went above and beyond our expectations.

Tim is a complete professional. He is friendly, knowledgeable and in command of the piano. He belts out a pretty good tune, to boot. I felt completely comfortable with the amount charged, the work done and the recommendations for further work. I highly recommend Tim to anyone who needs their piano tuned.

Mr. English showed up promptly and tuned my piano. He tunes by ear and did a wonderful job, it sounds better than ever. He noticed that my piano is missing a string and we figured out that he knows the man who sold me the piano. He said that he will contact that man and get a string from him and install it next time he tunes my piano.

Excellent. Mr. English was prompt. I felt very comfortable with him in my home and I normally don't like to do service repairs/calls without my husband or family home. I highly recommend him most because of his piano expertise and the man is a true gentleman.

Great....right on time. Had tools.

He called me back right away after I left a message. He took all of my information and said they would be here at 10 the next morning. They came on time and took all the peices of the piano and wrapped them in blankets. They were very careful. They took it to where I wanted it and moved it several times to get it in the right spot.

I called on a Friday afternoon hoping to get an appointment for the next Tuesday when I would be off work. Instead, he asked me if I was available the next day at noon! On that day, he called ahead to say he'd be a few minutes late. Upon arrival, he vacuumed the open areas of the console, fixed a couple of keys with sticky felt, and tuned my piano. And at the end, I got a little medley as he tested the overall tune of the piano!

He arrives on time and does a thorough tuning and examination of the piano.

He was here a long time. He was a fantastic fellow. I didn't think his price was bad at all for all the work that he did.

Tim came out the day I called him, gave us an estimate and had it (the keys) back to us in a week. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He rebuilt our pedal trapwork and was easy to work with. We would definitely use him again; it was great to work with someone who obviously loves what they do!

It sounds great. Tim was very friendly, very knowledgeable and very honest. We will have him do the work again.

He did a great job and even followed up about 6 months later to see how the piano was doing and see if we needed his assistance again.
