it went great as usual, the have been keeping my 2002 Saturn SL going since Saturn went out of business. I never dreamed that the car would last this long, 186,000 miles and still going.

I like the fact that they are very knowledgeable and explain things. They are very busy so it is sometimes hard to get in but that is a good sign. They are ethical and give me alternatives and suggestions. They are above the board for everything.

These guys are nice enough and did there best to help resolve an issue that we had. However, do not take a German car to them. We had persistent problems with our car that we found out years later was a result of the wrong spark plugs put in.

When I made the appointment I informed the woman that there was water on the passenger side floorboards. I mentioned that I thought it was the heater core. After 300.00 in diagnostic, I was told that it was the windshield leaking and instructed to take it to a windshield repair company. I took it to Safelite and they told me that the seal on the windshield was still intact and that was not where the water was coming from. I called Tilton's and spoke to the same woman. I told her what the glass company said and her response was that she knew the tech had "water pouring into" my car from the windshield, but said they would take another look. Driving it back to Tilton's the heater core blew and filled my car with smoke. I knew what the problem was and told them to start with. They charged me 300.00 for a diagnostic that was wrong and then lied to me. That's what really made me angry! They replaced the heater core and that is the last they will see of me. We have spent much money with them over the years, but I feel that I was taken advantage of.

On several occasions since requesting the information from Angie's List we have taken our car to Titlton's. I made a severe error in not having them evaluate the care BEFORE I bought it. Being stuck with the car I was extremely pleased with the work Tilton did, with advice not to do certain repair work (cost more than worth according to Tilton's). The one occasion when Tilton's repair was not satisfactory I stopped in and they corrected the problem, found another minor problem and repaired both without charge, quickly and without hassle.

Service manager was friendly and responsive. They found a few other issues that need to be addressed soon and indicated their severity/seriousness, but they were not pushy about having the work performed.

CAR #1 BROKE DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY. I DIDN'T HAVE AAA, SO I CALLED TILTON'S. THEY ARRANGED TO HAVE WORTHINGTON TOWING TOW ME TO THEIR SHOP. THE TOWING COMPANY WAS A GOOD RECOMMENDATION, AND THEY ALLOWED IT TO BE REBILLED THROUGH TILTON'S, SAVING ME FROM HAVING TO PAY CASH ON THE ROAD SIDE. AFTER DIAGNOSIS, I ELECTED NOT TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED. IT WASN'T REALLY OPERABLE, BUT TILTON'S HOT-WIRED IT AND DELIVERED IT TO MY HOME FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE. I TOOK MY OTHER CAR IN A WEEK LATER FOR 120,000 MILE SERVICE. TONS OF WORK, LOTS OF MONEY. THEY DID IT FAST AND CLEANLY. THREE DAYS LATER, IT SUDDENLY WOULDN'T START. I CALLED, THEY SENT A TOW TRUCK AND HAULED IT BACK TO THEIR SHOP. A BAD CABLE, NOT THEIR FAULT BUT POSSIBLY SOMETHING THEY SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT DURING THE EARLIER REPAIR. THEY FIXED IT RIGHT UP. WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP, THEY HANDED ME THE KEYS AND THANKED ME FOR MY BUSINESS. NO CHARGE! AND THEY SEEMED DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO DO THE WORK, NOT GRUMPY FOR LOSING OUT ON A FEW BUCKS.

THEY PROVIDED ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE ITEMS THAT DEFINITELY NEEDED TO BE FIXED AND AN ESTIMATE FOR THE OTHERS THINGS THAT COULD BE FIXED. THEY REPLACED A SENSOR AND REPAIRED THE BALL JOINT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE CAR IS NOT MAKING AS MANY NOISES WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS AND THE ENGINE IS RUNNING FINE. AND THE COST WAS EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID IT WOULD BE. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING THEM.

I HAVE USED TILTON'S FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THIS EXPERIENCE WAS ANOTHER REASON WHY I CONTINUE TO USE THEM. WHILE NOT EVERY EXPERIENCE IS PERFECT, I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR WORK, PRICES AND ESPECIALLY THEIR EMPHASIS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. ANDY AND HIS TEAM SHOULD DO WORKSHOPS FOR OTHER AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITIES!
