THE YARD BARBERS

MY MOM LOVED ANDY AND THE YARD BARBERS . SHE TALKED ABOUT THEIR FATHER WHO STARTED THE BUSINESS . IN THE LATE YEARS BEFORE HER PASSING SHE WOULD SIT ON HER DECK AND WATCH THEM CUT THE GRASS, SHAPE THE HEDGES ECT. THAT WAS THE WEEKLY HIGHLIGHT FOR HER LIFE . WE LOST THEM BOTH 5MONTHS APART LAST YEAR . THEY WERE MARRIED 74YRS IN SEPTEMBER AND THEY LOVED THEIR YARD. SHE HAS BEEN GONE 1YR THIS MONTH. THE PAST 3 WEEKS WE HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE LAWN CREW. THEY HAVE BEEN RUSHING, TEARING THE GRASS WHEN TURNING MOWERS, NOT EDGING OR REMOVING GRASS FROM THE DRIVEWAY AND THE LAWN. TODAY IN A CONVERSATION WITH ANDY THE OWNER, MY SISTER WAS TOLD THAT THOSE ISSUES COULD NOT BE ADDRESSED ,AND WE WERE MORE THEN WELCOME TO BREACH OUR CONTRACT ( WHICH WE ARE REVIEWING PRESENTLY) AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE. OUR PRESENT CONTRACT IS APPROX. 4500.00 ANNUALLY AND EVERY ISSUE WE HAD WAS IN WRITING. MY SISTER CALLED ME CRYING IN MOMS MEMORY. AS OF TODAY I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH THIS KIND OF DISRESPECT AND I WONDER WHAT THE FOUNDER OF THIS COMPANY WOULD SAY ABOUT BREACHING A CONTRACT. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME IN EVALUATING THIS LAWN SERVICE. MAYBE CONTRACT ARE ONLY IMPORTANT WHEN THE COMPANY IS GETTING PAID.

Great! I originally hired them about 18 months ago when they completely redid my landscaping in my front and back yard. My yard was a jungle before I hired them! They are friendly, responsive, and provide high quality work. The guys I deal with are personable and knowledgeable and don't try to up-sell me on stuff I don't actually need. I feel I can trust them and their advice.They are a little more pricey than other places, but the quality of work you receive is well worth it. I would highly recommend them to others.

My husband just had a conversation with them today about a project. We've worked with them for a long time, and they're responsive, and we are happy with their service. I'd give them a good rating, I just can't recall honestly what we pay.

I started using Yard Barbers about 4 years ago. I was tired of trying to keep up with my lawn and I just wanted to turn it over to someone else. Since hiring Yard Barbers, I never have to think about my lawn, they just handle it. My lawn looks better than it ever has.

They are reliable. They do really good works. The prices are reasonable. They do design work like landscape, architecture as well as yard work. They do patio, brick work and  fountains and all kinds of things than just yard. They have a menu that we sign the contract telling us what we need to have done. We are gonna do the spring clean up and the mulching and the beds and replace several things.  That's another thing they are really good about, they are guaranteed. We had several trees they planted and they did landscape pretty extensive stuff, including walkway and lighting for the yard, lighting at night. They guaranteed their stock the plants for a year. They actually just last fall replanted some trees at no charge to us that they had planted a little over a year that didn't look that great when they went in. They looked peaked and that wasn't acceptable to them. They got new plants and took the old out. These were really sizable trees, 3 storey high trees.

They show up and they did take us on as a client which seems to be a problem with other lawn care providers. We have multiple properties and this one was located close to downtown and no one really wants to mess with it.

I like them because they come every week. They edge it up really good. They came whether I was home or not, which was good. I would get an invoice and pay them online. That was good and I didn't have to be there. They're prices are competitive from what I've seen.

I tried a number of different companies; some failed to call back, didn't show up for an estimate when they said they would, or didn't serve my area (whatever their website said). With the Yard Barbers, I finally found a professional group- they returned my call, set up an estimate, scheduled the work, showed up when they said they would, and did a great job. 2 people worked most of a day, and the place looks great. We'll definitely use them again. (Of course, the professionalism has a cost; they are pretty expensive.)

It's excellent. If anything comes up, they come back and take care of it right away!

They were very speedy and arrived when scheduled. The grass has been growing well since then.

I received an estimate and within a week the work was completed.

I would trust them without reservation. I have used them for about 10 years. Every time we needed them, they have come promptly. They perform the work in a timely manner and with a positive attitude. They are impressive.

They workers were very friendly. They came and finished the project while I was at work. They look great when I got home! I thought they would have been trimmed lower per our conversations, but they were a few inches higher. However, they look neat and I'm overall happy with the service.

They are punctual, they are hard working, and they complete the job at the time it is due. We didn’t shop around but my understanding is that they have a good price.

They did a good job and they were able to come in the middle of the night to complete the snow shoveling.

They did a very good job! A made an appointment, which they were on time for. They provided an estimate which was exactly what I was charged. They completed the work and did not leave a mess behind.

I have an agreement with them to come and do the service. I don't really deal with them that much.

They are very efficient, professional, responsive and punctual. They come over and do their job and I don’t have to worry about it. The quality of their work is good and I have been satisfied with their service.

I have been a member of Angie's list for close to seven years, and have never reported a bad company. I paid thousands of dollars for an architectural landscaper to design a master plan. The Yard barbers planted a cheaper plant scamming me out of a LARGE amount of money, faking,"like" it was what I origanally ordered! Yard Barbers spaced the wrong plants apart so they would never form a hedge (when the plan specifically called for a solid hedge!!) as well as tried to charge for plants they never planted and work they never performed. The Yard barbers also sent a bill for monthly maintenance/fall clean-up they never did along with questionable office fees. Don't use this company they will take advantage of you cheating you and your family out of your "hard earned money." Never use this company they can only cut grass... An even figure out a way to bumble cutting the grass! The first time I have ever found myself in litigation was with the Yard Barbers! BEWARE of this bad comapany they are scam-artists...
