It was great. They were thorough when discussing our mattress options.

After reading several good reviews about professional low-pressure sales we expected better. A couple minutes after we entered the Sawmill store and began talking with the salesman his phone rang.. The salesman took the call and was on the phone for several minutes. I think he should have put the caller on hold and given priority to customers who took the time to come to the store (the call was clearly not an emergency or urgent). When he returned he spent much of the time bad-mouthing other mattress manufacturers and retailers while trying to convince us that his mattresses and company was so much better. The prices also did not seem lower than other places we shopped despite their often advertised claims that prices would be much lower without a middleman. We decided to take our business elsewhere as we had been treated more professionally elsewhere and found a mattress we liked better at one of them anyway

My husband and I tried out one bed after another in the Grandview showroom. Each display model had two pillows, and we were given disposable pillow protectors. At the foot of each bed was a display showing the inside of the mattress. At another store, I had a problem with lights shining in my eyes when I tried out the mattresses, but not here. Lighting was fine.
Our salesperson, Rick Flynn, was fun and informative. We appreciated his help on the mattresses, but he gave us incorrect information about the contour-sheet style mattress protector. I was concerned it wouldn?t be fully effective against dust mites because it didn?t enclose the mattress. He insisted an OSU entomologist had told him covering the top and sides of the mattress was sufficient. I checked with my allergist the next day, and she confirmed that the only a fully-enclosed mattress is fully protected from dust-mites. When I returned to the store to tell Rick what the allergist had said, he did not appear surprised.
Delivery and set-up went well. We will continue to buy our mattresses at OMF.

Thom was great. Gave us the rundown of their mattresses vs the competition with many visual aids, guided us through the store pointing out differences between the mattresses, and then left us alone while we tried them all out. Theirs are the only flip-able mattresses for sale now. Prices were considerably lower than other mattresses, and, with proper care, will last longer, thanks to the flipping. We weren't sure whether we needed a low-profile box spring or not, so Thom suggested we have both shipped out during delivery and we could choose then, without any additional charge. Delivery is $45.

We had purchased a mattress and box springs at the west location about 20 years ago and had been very satisfied with the product, so when we were ready to purchase again, we went without hesitation back to the Original Mattress Factory and were pleased to find a shop closer to home. The shop was laid out well and sparkling clean, the salesman friendly and professional. We told him our interest, he showed us two beds and a cutaway of how it is assembled. Making the payment and delivery schedule was brief. How the parts of the old mattress and box springs are recycled was also explained. Early evening on the day of the delivery as promised we received a phone call with a two hour delivery window, and the next day, again as promised, we received a call saying they would be there in 30-35 minutes. The two men were friendly, used shoe booties, assessed the path from door to where bed was going, removed old mattress and box springs, sleeving them in plastic, and brought in new. There were no mishaps or concerns getting new in and old out. They were in and out in 20-25 minutes. Two days later we are well pleased with our purchase and the services provided. We like to buy local and the Original Mattress Factory is not only a local distributor, but the product is made in Columbus as well.

Rick was very friendly and professonal during sales present. Phoned and told us time of arrival. They arrived with in the time frame. Delivered new springs and mattress and took away the old. Delivery men were very friendly also.

I feel really good about making a purchase from this company. Everyone I talked to was genuine and very nice. The product is quality, and I love the fact that the mattresses are made locally! The price was excellent. A really good experience overall!

We have purchased mattreses before from the Original Mattress factory and always been very pleased with both the quality and service from them. The mattress we most recently purchased was hurting our backs so we went in to talk to Rick Flynn about our concerns. Rick was very knowledgable and presented possible problems and solutions. He then scheduled a specialist to come out and look at the mattress at our house immediatly. Seth Kirtland was a customer service manager who came to our house right on time as scheduled. He gave me a good 101 on mattress construction and answered all my questions in great detail. He immediatly solved the problem of the bed squeaking by inserting glides where the wheels were at the base. He then inspected the mattress and determined there were no structural faults. He asked which way we sleep and when he found out I sleep on my back he simply stated that we picked out the wrong one. I showed him my daughter's mattress we had purchased from there and said we liked it a lot better. He looked at that model and explained the differences. He then asked when we purchased out most recent mattress and I said over a year ago. He stated that there is a "comfort guarantee" or (something like that) that allows a customer to return their bed within the first year and purchase a new one for a small fraction of the price if they want a different model. I told him it was void b/c it was over a year and he said "Not a problem, we just want to make you happy and give the best customer service." He suggested we go back to the store and really try to lie on some firmer mattresses with no pillowtop and give him a call and we'd go from there. We did and they called a day before they were scheduled to deliver to confirm with us. The customer service from Rick and Seth was excellent. I have worked in sales before and I know what to watch out for. These guys didn't try to sell, deny returns, or pressure to upgrade in any way. They just tried to help get what we wanted and needed. This is why we go back there.

We got to the store forty minutes before closing. Rick Flynn, the manager of the location, was gracious and happily showed us several mattresses. He was very up-front with us, and when we mentioned we were also considering a futon he said that those are the right thing for some people instead of instantly saying how they were bad. He talked with us about the different kind of foams in the mattresses and was very informative. He was honest about foam mattresses not needing a box spring. He even stayed a bit past closing with us so we could lay on one mattress a bit longer. We ordered it a couple of days later and picked it up ourselves. He was helpful at during the pick-up and was good about telling us how to care for the mattress.

Rick Flynn was the manager/salesperson, when we bought the product. We have used the company before and our last experiences brought us back. As before, the salesroom was a comfortable place, no high pressure sales. Our 3 year old daughter was with us and he was very patient with her antics, as long as she wasn't jumping from bed to bed. The guys that delivered the product were also, very nice and professional. The even called, to see if they could come early. I've lost their names, but remember one's was Marquez or Marcus. Very polite guys. Hopefully, we've got all the beds we need for some time, but will definitely use them again, if necessary.

I have used this company since I moved to Columbus in 1991. I bought two sets of mattresses/box springs, as well as split box springs. Our latest purchase was simply a frame for a twin bed. We weren't sure if we wanted a headboard, too, or just a frame. What I love about these folks is that they are not high pressure sales. Yes, they approach you immediately, but they don't hover. We ended up with a simple frame and were completely happy.
