The Masonry Repair Guy

My brick home is located in an area considered historical and was built in 1909. Rain water was leaking into my basement, which, over time, caused the mortar to crumble and fall to the floor, leaving big cracks in the wall. I called The Masonry Repair Guy, and Steve, the proprietor of the company and told him that I wanted an estimate to get my basement walls sealed to stop the leaks. Well, to my surprise, Steve took me outside and showed me where the water was leaking through cracks in the stone brick of my foundation. He pointed out many areas where the mortar on the outside needed to be repaired to stop the water from leaking into the basement. He also pointed out that my two chimneys needed to be tuck pointed. This job required more work than I originally suspected, as it was not just the basement that needed work, but it was the outside foundation that needed work as well. I was blown away when he told me how much the work would cost. His estimate was WELL BELOW the estimates I had already received from two other companies. I hired him to do the job, and he and his team did great work. He was easy to communicate with and kept me informed through every step of the process. They worked really hard, and finished the job in three days. He went above and beyond what we talk about. After the first rain, there was a small leak in the basement, and when I called him, he came out the same day and reinforced that area with more stucco. After the next rain, there were no leaks. He also told me to call him if I found anymore leaks. I like that he GUARANTEED his work! The stucco in my basement and my two chimneys look great, and the cracks in the foundation make this old house look like new. I couldn't be more pleased! Steve was very pleasant to work with. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism, and came away with a peace of mind about the situation. I would highly recommend him for any masonry job that one might need in the future.
