Our experience with Jim was wonderful! As first time home buyers in a crazy 2023 housing market, Jim guided us through each step with great knowledge and encouragement. He was in constant communication with us, made many stops to our house as it was being built to share any progress with us, and helped us through all of our housing meetings and questions. Jim Deskins at The HomeBuyer's Advocate did a great job of being patient with my wife and I on the purchase of our first home. We ended up going the new build route and we were glad to have Jim beside us during the several months of build time and inspections. All in all, a great service during a stressful time and we never felt pushed or rushed into making a decision. Jim has treated us like family from day one. I’ve literally told people that be brought a flashlight and checked out the entire house(s) with us, and we loved that. Jim would always get back to me whenever I had questions and would give me answers that I understood and if I didn’t he would explain it when we were out looking at houses he would have his flashlight and take notes and clipboard and we go over everything about the house, pros and cons. Jim as a person made it very easy and was a huge help in deciding where I would buy my first house for my family making sure it was in a good school district and within my budget

Jim Deskins was fantastic to work with as first-time homebuyers. He took care to explain important issues and was very knowledgeable about conditions and typical steps to remediate issues. Jim was very attentive to our needs and was always quick with a response to any questions. We felt we had a good understanding of the pros and cons of each home we looked at that helped us narrow down what we really needed in a house. Jim helped us find a great house that ticked all our need boxes and nearly all of our want boxes as well. If I had to buy real estate again, I would go back to Jim without hesitation. For first time home buyers, Jim was an incredibly valuable resource. He walked us through the entire process from what to look for in a home and where, our budget, how to effectively negotiate the price on a house, the closing process etc...Jim is highly experienced in this field and it shows when you are his client. Jim's most impressive quality is the thoroughness while viewing a prospective home. He basically provides a qualified home inspection during the viewing and as potential buyers you walk away with an in-depth knowledge of the home, it's history, it's current issues and it's true value. In today's red hot real estate market, this was priceless as it helped to prevent us from grossly overpaying on a home. I have recommended Jim to every one of my friends who have been looking to buy a home. Whenever we move again, we will use Jim as our buyers agent.

Jim was such a great choice. We were first time home buyers and he took a lot of time to explain things to us during the process. We always felt like he had our best interests in mind, and are very happy with the house we ended up with. There were a few difficult parts to the purchase, including a water leak in the house after we were in contract, and Jim was great helping us navigate the stressful situation. Overall Jim is a very down to earth guy and a straight shooter. I always felt like we were getting his honest opinion. Highly recommend Jim.

We've used Jim as our agent twice, and he would be the only agent we would consider for any future home buying needs. Jim is an absolutely phenomenal agent because he is both knowledgeable and honest. In this crazy market, it's easy to get caught up in the moment and ignore red flags or over-pay for a house, but Jim was there to educate us about the houses and neighborhoods and ensure each offer was carefully thought out. Never once did we feel pressure to make an offer or rush the process- even after looking at houses for an entire year- Jim was patient and continued to provide excellent advice. He's a true professional and makes the process of home buying go as smoothly as possible. We are still in shock we managed to get our house in the Spring of 2021, in an unprecedented and crazy market. We owe that one to Jim!
